Report: Today school co-opperated with my fishing schedual and let me start my day at around 3. as we launched my buddies pro-v by tracker we trolled around the Granite bay launch and only picked up 2 spots, 1 1/2, 2-3 pounder. we quickly figured out the bight, it was drop shot with morning dawn and jig with single grub trailer brown. we headed straight acrossed the lake to a rock pile we had on GPS and fished that and i quickly picked up 3 more spots in the 1 1/2-3 pound range. we moved over near the other launch and fished a deep cove that seemed to have some bait circulating through it. my buddy mike picked up 2 jig spots same size. at dark we ran back to the Granite bay launch and fished the beach area and the creek channel near the launch. RIGHT AFTER sun set i pick up a nice 4.3 pound spot on a fat-A crank bait. that made for a decent day of fishing. thanx loomis kid

We started just out on the rocks in front of Granite Bay ramp using 4" lizards in green pumkin and a morning dawn leach. Before the rain came we got some small spots in 10-15 ft on rocks. We made our way to another rocky area that had a flat and droped into 30 ft. When the rain and winds came we had 9 spots and 1 largie. Most of the bass were on the flat with large rocks. No bits on jigs or rip baits.

Report: Wow Folsom is on fire, seems like someone fliped the light switch on those spots and smallies! By far this was my best trip ever to folsom, I started over on beals point and worked my way all the way to granite by the low water ramp, switching between a 6" warmouth robo and a yamamoto spider grub from the bank down to 15 ft. I caught 13 between 1.97 and 3.64 mostly around 2 3/4 lb.fish but i caught 2 stud smallies at 4.09 and 4.32 on the robo worm. I was feeling lucky so I ran up by rattlesnake and boy was it on fire!! I caught 7 fish in the bend across from the ramp between 2.93 and 3.77 lbs. my best 5 went just over 19 lbs. my best day before today was just over 12 lbs last march.
    City: Rocklin

Tips: 6" warmouth robo worms on 1/4 oz. darter heads. 10 lb test big game line. and the fish really wanted the worm worked really fast. but the jig fish were more of a slower deal. Hopefully this will help someone else enjoy a day like today. oh yeah some guy was throwing a white buzzbait up at rattle snake and said he had caught 3 on it ?? go figure?

Report: Had to work a four hour shift so I did not get on the water till 3:00 pm and fished till dark. Since there was not alot of time I did not run alot. Much better than my past few quick trips, fish are starting to move up and then spread out. Better fish in 10-14 feet of water. Caught 6 bass and a big ole land locked salmon.

Tips: Carolina rig watermelon red baby brush hog got 3 nice fish and my main line broke on the set on the 4th fish, one that I never saw. 3 on a Luckey craft CB 300 crank at dark and the Salmon ate a Stasybe 90 sp ver 2 in Ghost. Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went up for the afternoon and ripped around for a while but didn't get anything so I went over by Beals point and found fish in a creek channel from 22 to 32 ft. deep suspended. I threw a 1-1/2oz. chartuese pearl white spoon out and started ripping in of the bottom. About the third rip I got slammed by a 3lb. smallie. After catching and releasing 6 big smallmouth and several nice spots on spooning and drop-shotting Basstrix shad bait fry,I headed home.
    City: Sac.

Tips: Although there are quite a few fish staging shallow, there are still good fish in deeper water. They seem to be suspended so try dropshotting about 3 to 5 feet up and rip a spoon way off the bottom to get their attention.

Report: Fished Folsom from Noon until Dark. Spent a lot of time looking for fish. Caught one small keeper up North and one small Keeper down south. Steep Points seemed to be the key but it was hard to find a pattern with so few bites. Tried Darterhead, Carolina Rig, Cranking, Blading, and Jigs. My buddy did hook an 18" Salmon dragging a worm.
    City: Orangevale

Tips: Caught the two fish on Jigs, dragging real slow. Not much of a bite, just a small "thump". Bass bites are scarce at Folsom right now...

    Water Temp: 43.3-44.2

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The guys and I from Basin Bass Masters had a turkey shoot. The fog was thick most of the morning, no winds and the lake is rising fast. Mike and I frist fished near Beal's Point, trying to find the dam even with a GPS. Using brown/purple jigs with a # 180 grub. Lost the first fish at the boat. We moved over to the dam and found other fisherman on our spot so we moved into the North Fork on rock points, missing fish all day. We riged up from worms to lizards, rip baits and spinners. The last cast gave us one keeper by 2:45. A few teams came in with limits and the winning weight was 12.45 lbs. Some big smallies and largemouths. Most of the bass for the other teams also came on brown/purple jigs. keep your lights on in this fog. The depth was from 10-25 ft. Some spots are moving upto feed on some of the new food coming down the bank. The water color is not bad.
    City: rocklin

Tips: Shake the jigs and move slow and use a scent.

    Water Temp: 50 ish

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started out along with won bass tourn. I went leftt almost everyone went right.Later I went up river also. First spot got 13lbs and went to nowind area to eat and relax. Talked to a few tourn. fishermen and one said he had 12 lbs another three keepers another four keepers. I think old Mike Tuck socked it to them with around 17 lbs, not sure, just grapevine news. Shallow bite was the name of the game as spinnerbaits prevailed. Awesome strikes. Wind was a factor however there were places not affected. Up river the warter temp was very low and some current was noticed.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Toss chartreus up on bank and bring into water as not to scare your prey, if they are thwere your chances may be improved. Good fisin jim
