Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out at 4 pm for a very short trip.I was out Christmas eve and accidently kicked my favorite spinning rod overboard, a Loomis GLX spinning rod in 30 feet of water at the peninsula.
The lake has dropped that much, so I went to the spot that was close and beached the boat.I walked in the mud about 100 yards and bingo it was in the sand 2 feet from shore. Best trip this year.
City: Granite BayTips: The launch at Granite Bay has a sign posted 5 mph for the whole lake, a ranger watched from shore for violators. The lake is very muddy about 3'' of visability. Did not fish

Water Temp: 50-51
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Started at day break,DIDN'T hook my first fish until 12:30 on a rocky point in the south fork.Continuted to hook 7 spots in 4 hours up to 3.5 pounds working the same point. Worked the same area because it was the only place I found willing fish.
City: antelopeTips: Caught all fish on a watermelon senko in about 23-35 feet-worked verrrrrry slowly! Fun stuff!

Water Temp: 53-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Cold morning, no fog or winds for a nice day on the water. Joe Miller and I went out at safe sun light from Granite Bay. Our first stop was a Island top in the main body, o fish. Drove in the north fork to a rocky point and Joe found a 2 lb smallie with a brown/purple 1/2 oz JK jig.
I switched over to a drop shot with a 3" minnow and found they like it. We got five keepers and headed home at 1:pm.

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Water clarity depends on location. Both arms are muddy, however the main body was clear last Friday. Two of us fished from 12 noon till 4 pm and bairly missed the afternoon storm. Two fish both on 1/2 oz hula grubs in 20 foot of water, one smallmouth and one spot. Nothin on rip baits, blades, or crank baits.
City: CarmichaelTips: We spent most of our trip in muddy water fishing shallow in the new run off from the rain. Nata, or at least we did not find em. Dock talk was the North fork, ripping with loooong pauses. Did not try drop shotting or spooning. Rumor has it that high teens won the turkey shoot on the 2nd. I guess they gotta eat sometime. I also fished a trout colored 12 inch swimbait on the main body, sooner or later...

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 2pm to 4:30pm in South Fork. I hit rocky points and steep drop-offs with drop-shot, spoons and jigs. One good strike with a spoon. Otherwise, 'twas about as slow as I suspected. Did stay dry, though.
City: SacramentoTips: I wish I had a good tip, I NEVER have any luck on Folsom.

Water Temp: 51-52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished the north fork 1/2 day and it was slow. I figure I got bit a dozen times on my favorite drop shot setup, but put the hook in only 1 undersized fish. Fished humps, deep points, and vertical rocks. Located fish in 20-40'. I did end up with 1 nice (24") trout that I will eat for dinner. Good luck.

Good luck Jim
City: SactoTips: As fish move up to eat after a bad storm, the bites will be more aggressive than clear water conditons. Get color and size to them, they are hungry.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I don't know why, but I always manage to get out on the cold nasty days. Anyway, small slow baits. Shame that my rockpile by the dam is so popular now. I don't catch nearly the numbers I used to 15 years ago. Anyway, 5% was my big producer. Back in the days, I used to throw 6", then 4" but now, I'm throwing 3" worms. The fish have changed from smallmouth to spots. This is not really new to anyone, I know, but I miss the days when ice was forming on my rod tip and I would get these awesome 2-3 lbs. pressure biting smallmouths. Pound for pound, the best fighting bass by far.

Water Temp: 52-54 deg
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The day after THANKSGIVING a foggy, but on a light wind morning. Out with one of my team mates from the BASSIN BASSMASTERS CLUB (Bonner). We spent part of the morning looking for bait fish in the main body, finding them on rocky points. One good spot is still left of the dam in that large cove and the points right of dyke 8. Look in 20 to 35 ft using a drop shot and split shot. A good worm to use is the PRO WORM # 266 leach, 4 inch or smaller. We missed some bites but still managed to pick up two good spots in the frist two hours. Look for the moving bait with bass chasing. If the bait looks like a ball, most of the time the bass around it are not eating or aggesive at this monent. We later fished in the sunny North Fork area, no fish. We both cranked for some time, no fish. Some fisherman were on the islands near Browns Revine and sitting on top of humps in deeper water. Check out the rocky point just left of the Dam. Watch out for the humps that are coming up 300-400 yards out, we almost hit one new dyke 8 ( 2ft of water). I used a jig brown/orange (larry's jig) no luck. Drop shots and drag n a worm is working.
City: rocklinTips: Fish slow , deep and use a stink bait

Report: Went out Friday for the last hour of light.
Picked up fish spooning in about 35-40 feet of water and dropshotting. Nothing big just average size spots, still fun none the less.
City: RescuTips: When drop shotting, use a short leader and move slowwww.

Water Temp: 56-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I'ts has been a few weeks sence I've been on this lake. Jim Ryan and I were in his Nitro 17' bass boat, I did not get to bring all 12 rods and boxes of tackle, so only 3 rods and 3 boxes this time out. Well Jim was the captin and I was the guide for the next three hours on this light windy afternoon. Looking for bait fish in the North Fork on points and banks on the south and North sides was tough to find at this time of the day (1pm-4pm). Found some bait, but no takers. We wormed and cranked, not much time more searching as the fog was rolling in and no GPS on this boat we headed in to Granite Bay ramp. There will be other days with Jim and his Nitro.
City: rocklinTips: not sure what or were

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The tour did hammer the water this weekend, but the fish are still on bait, you just have to find the right bait. My partner and I worked many different pods to find the right bait. Even went through some salmon, fun but a waste of time in a tournament. Spooning and drop shotting caught all of our fish, in depths from 16' to 55'. A team weighed in an 8lb'er caught in the back of a cove on the first cast of the day- white spinnerbait. I talked to a few other teams that had topwater bites going as well. I heard of 2 fish over 10lbs coming on friday during the prefish. We have a great fishery right here in folsom. Just ask the Future Pro Tour fisherman.
City: rescueTips: Drop shot 4 inch plasic's and spoon on active fish. 16-55 feet deep.
