Water Temp: 50 -51
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Spotted bass are beginning to get active as we turn the corner towards spring weather. As usual, the spotted bassare the irst ish to turn on in Folsom. On Sunday, westarted around 9 am in the North Fork and shook our inchworms or 6 bass in the 1 to 2 pound range. What makes methink the bass are ready to turn on is the act that 3 outo the 6 swallowed the bait. Whereas, most spots in thewinter mode seem to spit baits out. Most o the ish werecaught in the 15 to 25 oot zone on the outside o coveson the points. I tried both 6 inch worms and 4 inch worms and the 4 inch clearly outperormed the larger bait.
City: LincolnTips: Late winter on warm days, try split-shotting points anywhererom 15 to 35 eet.

Report: 6th Annual Shambre Invitational is now in the books with alot o IMPRESSIVE ish weighed in. Todd Crockett and Chuck Zaulers win with 15.6 lb. bag and a 10.1 big ish. They caught this ish "towing" a Castaic Trout in deep water. The top three all stated that they had caught their ish deep and mostly on plactics, but there was a brie reaction bite irst thing in the morning (although I didn't notice it). 34 ish weighed in or 60.6 lbs or a 1.78 lb average. The lake is on the verge o turning over, the bait and bass are still deep, so the Classic boys next week should have their hands ull with a totally dierent lake than when they preished prior to the cuto.
City: RosevilleTips: move ast and cover water.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I STARTED FISHING AT 2:30 ON THE SOUTH FORK.I JUST BOUGHT SOME SENKOS SO I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE EM A SHOT.FISHED AROUND SOME TREES, BUT WAS TOO SHALLOW.I WENT OUT TO ABOUT 15 OR 20 FEET, AND I CAUGHT A 1.5 SPOT. NEXT CAST I CAUGHT ANOTHER SPOT ABOUT THE SAME SIZE. I CAUGHT 3 MORE WITH IN AN HOUR AND THEN THE SUN WENT BEHIND SOME CLOUDS AND THE FISH SHUT OFF. THE LAST SPOT WAS NICE, ABOUT 3LBS. THE FISH WERE REALLY AGRESSIVE ONCE I FOUND THE RIGHT DEPTH. NOT TOO BAD FOR TWO HOURS IN A FLOAT TUBE. SENKOS ARE EVERYTHING I HAVE HEARD OR READ ABOUT.
City: El Dorado HillsTips: THE FISH ARE STILL DEEP, BUT ACTIVELY FEEDING. I USED THE SENKO WEIGHTLESS, AND EITHER TAPPED ON THE POLE OR JERKED IT OFF THE BOTTOM PRETTY GOOD. THE FISH LOVE THE ACTION ON THESE BAITS. GOOD LUCK!

Report: First light topwater was decent with about 8 strikes with 2 keepers landing in the net. Tried to rip a ish, but no go. Mojo rigged a senko and caught the third keeper. Not much to report once the sun was up and on the water strong. Might suggest looking or ish blowing up on the shad schools that are beginning to orm. Found three big pods o shad with ish busting them, but the ish were small.
City: RosevilleTips: Fish are suspended chasing bait, look to more o shore stu in the coming weeks until the lake rolls over. Surace ishing should be good until late November.

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out on the 1st and ished the american river entrance to the lake rom about 1730 to 2030. I caught an eleven incher and a two pounder on a brown worm in about ten to iteen eet o water. I tried a buzz bait and had a big ish hit it but no other luck. Seemed to be pretty tough ishing. The ish seem to be heavily pressured in this area and aren't prone to striking easily.
City: SacramentoTips: Both ish hit the worm while it was alling. I recommend working it slow with a light split shot the will allow the worm to drop slow.

Report: Fished Doltons Point in the evening (7-9pm) rom the shore.I tried throwing Senkos to see i they were as eective as everyone is reporting or the Delta. I got as many hitsrigging weedles as I did rigging wacky worm.Anyone else ishing Folsom? Things are very slow out there but the ish are there i you are willing to workor them!
