Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: got here at 3:30 and fished the land until closing. Hit my spots and caught 14 dinks. Around 6:30 I started to stick some nicer fish (1-2#.) After, caught a 3#, 3.5#, and a 5#. When I was reeling in the 3 a 10+ came and popped him. The 10+ was on a bed. I tried to work her but gave up after 30 min. 20+ fish including dinks. Great day!!!!
    City: Pinole

Tips: All fish caught finesse fishing. Threw my SPRO swimbait a lot. Many followers, but no takers. Fish were holding in shallow water (1-4ft) all on beds or near structure. Be patitent 2-5 min casts. polarized glasses helped to locate structures despite algae bloom.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: fished last few sundays with 15+ fish per trip.many pre, spawn and postspawn fish to 9lbs.all were C & R. Too bad for all those starving fishermen who had to keep many prespawned fish.not cool ( my opinion)large plastics and spinnerbaits worked for me.

    Water Temp: ??

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Continuing the report, sorry about the incomplete first post.

Caught 1 about a pound on a 297 green pumkin senko. He had a crawdad still stuck in his throat that was dark brown with reddish orange markings, for anyone who's interested. After catching a dink on a t-rigged tube, I switched to a white spinnerbait as the wind settled down into a nice ripple on the water. Caught one at around 4-5 pounds, very fat and healthy (my first decent California bass.) Missed two more and had one good one jump off. I was burning the spinnerbait, waking it under the surface, getting hit mainly near what appeared to be drop offs.

Tips: Caught fish slow and fast, with all the quality bites coming while fishing fast. Keep in mind it was very overcast.

Report: Fished Saturday from about noon until 4pm. Very windy and overcast and actually kind of cold when that wind hit you right. Spent most of the day hiking around trying to find an unoccupied place to get a line in the water, but I've got to say it was great to see so many people out, especially with their kids.

Report: Went trout fishing and caught a limit off of the L-dock. While I was trout fishing, I was watching this guy named Rob just slamming the bass. Not sure how many he caught, could have been the guy from the previous post.

Tips: Follow Rob around, the guy must be a Lafayette Reservoir Legend or something.

    Water Temp: 45-50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Water is nice and clear and trout are being pulled out from the docks and buoys. The rain didn't seem to affect the bite in a good or bad way. Just wanted to post that if you are going after trout here stay out of the east cove. The trout don't hang out there at least right now. All other areas are solid. Usin chartreuse power for whatever thats worth, but eggs and worms are workin too.

Report: First time at the lake. Spent a lot of time walking around it to see what it had to offer. Picked up a 15" keeper on a Senko around 11:00 on a shaded dock across from the boat rentals. On my way back to the car noticed dozens on large trout near the dam. Grabbed my criplure and picked-up a 21" rainbow after a few casts. Nice place; I'll be back!
    City: Antioch

Tips: Look for bass in the shade. If the bass aren't cooperating, give the trout or cats something to eat.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went tubing with my girlfriend at 7:00am. Started off drop shotting across from the launch ramp and caught a couple of 1lb-ers. My girlfriend was nailing them with night crawlers so I swallowed my pride and went with the worms. Very fun day catching about 5 fish each in the 1.5-3.0 lb range. Quit at about noon. Lost a pretty big one on my trout rig, when it practially jumped into the float tube and snapped the line over my other rods.

Report: Started off throwing a carolina rig. Not a bite. Talked to a local who once had the trout and bass record at the same time a real bad ass. Looked like ISH MONROE,
and he told me to move near the damn. Ended up sticking a nice fish, on a carolina rigged turtleback worm about 4lbs. Only fish for the day.

Then I put on my Watson's Rat, and threw it in the thick stuff and caught a real nice catfish. Awsome day. See you on the water fish4fun
