Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fishing was kind o strange up there today. Fish were not relating to points or cuts, they were on eatureless banks with brush. I ended up with 7 keepers to 2.5 lbs and missed 3 others. 4 ish came on jigs and 3 came on a reaper. Fish were rom 15 to 60 eet. Bite was lite. Best bet was to pick a streach o bank, put the trolling motor down and ish the whole thing rather then run rom point to point.Mike Niemi

Report: Launched out rom angels point about 9:00 A.M. it was a very beautiul day although a little cold! We ished a ew points an old road along with some rocky shoreline on our way to angels arm.We threw brown/purple jigs spinnerbaits and carolinia rigged worms. Our irst and only ish came at approx.12:30 on a brown&green worm.Fishing was slow but still a beautiul day on the lake!!! Our most excitement came at around 3:00 p.m as we slowed to ish into the cove that we had launched rom.As we approached a canoe with two men ishing or trout. All too our surprise (AS WELL AS THEIRS) as the young man went to set the hook on a ish they lost their balance and went in!! As we trolled over to help we couldn't help but notice a ish jumping out o the water repeatedly while both men clung to the canoe the younger man also clung to his pole that had a ish on!!! I managed to get them both saely to shore while Terri landed the rainbow trout. They drained their canoe as we gathered their loating belongings.Unortunately a tackle box and a pair o prescription glasses were lost.We towed them saely to the launch ramp so they could warm up,the water was VERY COLD!! 50 DEGREES. Well that's all or now, stay warm and dry!!!

Report: Fished the 100 Percent tourney at Melones on the 18th. Fishing was tough or most. The ish seem to be into the winter modes. Most productive methods were jigs, plastics, and spoons. Fish were on main lake points in 25 to 60 eet. Did manage a ew on white spinnerbaits, but very unpredictable to pattern. Stick with slow moving bottom baits like jigs, tubes and lizards or the best bet.

Report: Took my 11yr old son and 9yr old daughter camping Thursday 4/22 till Sunday 4/25. Weather wasn't what we were expecting. Most o the lake was too windy to ish Thursday and Friday. Had to ind coves and bays protected by wind to control boatwell enough to ish eectively. Did manage to get over a dozen each day on watermelon w/red leck brush hogs. Almostall ish were airly deep, rom 15 - 25 t. Fish had descentsize to them also, most rom 1.5lbs to 2lbs. My biggest was4lbs 13 ozs. But I was out done by my son Corey who managed a 5lb 1oz on a crappie spinner bait which he replaced the grubwith a 4" black worm. How he managed to not loose that ishwith such a small hook I'll never know, it must have jumped 5 times. My little girl even got 3 ish all by heresel! She got one 2.5lber on blue leck 4" worm. That turned outto be the only color I caught ish with on Saturday. There werelots o ish to be seen shallow along steep banks, but couldn'tget any action on them. Sunday was too windy to ish so wecame home early. Overall, pretty good weekend. I managedenough ish to keep me happy and enough to hand o the pole to keep the kids interested all day too!
City: CupertinoTips: From 5am to 6:30am caught a couple o ish on crankbaits, but when thesun came up went to brush hogs and worms deep. I got better action when I gave the brush hogs and worms a 2 jerk and let it settle motion. Most hits came on the second jerk.

Report: Well i ished my irst tournament on the 25th. It was put on by Savemart stores or it'semployees. We all gatherd at glory hole, and began the process o signing up and checking livewellsand paying our entry ees. there were approxamtley 30 plus boats, ranging rom 12 t aluminum to theull dress 20 ooters it was a awesome sight I must say. We began dumping our rigs while waiting or sae light,as the water near the ramp began to illwith boats the lake took on a certain eel. It muct have been all the boaters bustling about intheir rigs in preperation. people were doing things rom preparing or the cold to discussing theirstratagy to rigging their rods. The sight and eel o all this sent my adrenalin through the roo. Finally with all the rigs sharking around the sun gave enough light and we began to line up atthe 5 mph bouies. Our earless organizer dropped his hand and all HELL broke loose on the water. There is no better sight than to look to your let then to your right and see a ull out, wideopen, rooster tailin renzy o bass anglers heading to their secret locations. ( What a rush ! ! !) My partner and I headed out to the 49 bridge area and hit the cove on the west side o thebridge. We ished the bank on the right using white lukes and blue and black jigs.the luke bait seemed to work best as my partner landed two keepers. We coverd banks on the mainbody, carson cove, cayote cove, morman creek, and glory hole cove and other areas beore weight in at2:00pm.All in all we caght ish every stop we made, the only trouble we had was locating ish with size. the males are preping the spawning beds as we could see ish all along the shore line. I weatherstays warm ish should start spawning this week. sorry to say but wedid not place in the tournament we had 5 ish weighing 8.7lbs

City: MercedTips: I LOVE THROWING PLASTIC WORMS. AT MELONES I ALWAYS HAVE GOOD LUCK THROWING A RED COLOR WORM. ILIKE BANKS WHERE MY BOAT SETS IN 30 TO 45 FEET OF WATER. I SPLITSHOT THE WORM VERY SLOW AND WORK ITALONG THE BOTTOM ABOUT HALFWAY BACK TO THE BOAT. ALL THE FISH I CAUGHT SATURDAY WERE IN 3 TO 25 FEETOF WATER.
