Water Temp: 48-49
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Also ished the 100% Bass tourney on 1-11. Found ish on main body points using a brown/orange jig with a Yamamoto 297 single tail super grub as a trailer. 5 ish limit or 9.43# with a 2.55# in the sack. We picked up a couple o ish early on crankbaits, but went to the jig and other plastics mid morning to catch 12 ish, culling with 3 o those.
City: ReddingTips: Fish were oriented to the main body points in 20-25' o water. Bite was not aggressive or most o the ish. Had to work the point thoroughly to ind where on the point the ish were actually holding.

Water Temp: 48-49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the 100% Bass Pro Am Tournament as an AM. Had a great Pro, Chuck Dyer. We weighed 9.99 lbs or 5 ish with a 2.85 kicker that took 3rd big is on the AM side. This was good enough or 6th on the pro side and 5th on the AM side.We caught most o our ish drop shotting 4 - 4 1/2" plastics where run o was coming into the lake. My best producer was a 4 1/2" Roboworm Oxblood Light Red Flake straight tail ished on 5# Maxima line. We did manage to inally get a ew ish on white spinnerbaits in the early aternoon but unortunately only one helped our bag.
City: ParadiseTips: Fish were real timid. Cast in, let it settle, shake it lightly a ew times (only move the rod tip 1-2 inches), then let it set or about 5-10 seconds and then repeat. WATCH YOUR LINE!! Most o the bites were mostly pressure or the ish would just eat and swim away. Worm Colors: Oxblood Light Red Flake and Translucent Pink.

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: So, I'll bet some o you are wondering how the ishing has been ater, say, three major storms (one a downgraded typhoon), lake level up 10 eet in three days, irst rost o the winter (the day we went), previous day major hailstorm, and dingy water everywhere. Glad you asked! I have never seen the lake become dingy this quick! I took two clients on Wednesday - the only non-rain day. It was not the day to learn to bass ish! We were promised sun by the weather guessers, but it was mostly cloudy with a very cold breeze all day! It was really too cold to run around much with those olks, so I headed to the middle ork, hoping to ind clearer water - didn't happen. I knew there was a crank and rip bite beore the cold ront and dirty water came. We tried some with cranks but couldn't get anything, which didn't surprise me. I tried a brown/orange Rodstrainer jig and quickly got pounded by a 17 inch spot in about 5 eet o water. The ish didn't even go 2 pounds! I caught two more in the 16 inch range, missed a good one and had one rip o the tail o the Yamamoto grub. Had about three other bites. My clients had several bites on worms (mostly Witch's T) Magic worms, and one landed a nice spot just under the slot. Unortunately, the ish just wern't aggressive. Had my clients been more experienced in winter ishing, they would have landed a ew. The ish just wouldn't hold onto the worm as they usually do. Other than the irst big spot I landed and a good one I missed, the bite was just pressure - not a typical late all jig bite. We had a good time - had some action - learned a lot - and didn't get rained on!!
City: Yuba CityTips: There is some debris in the lake but it is not too bad. The lake is so low that it will take awhile or the big stu to show. When we let the Bidwell ramp at 3 PM (no problem launching) most o the rigs had let. I assumed that meant it was tough or other also. It is always interesting to ish in rough conditions where you have 4 or 5 strikes against you, and see what happens. Bass were suspended all over the place with no pattern at all. I really think they are more conused than the anglers! Everything we caught were next to vertical walls. Merry Christmas!!!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Lake level is up to 703.53 as o 7:00am. Which means the lake has gone up 13t since Friday. Thats a pretty good start, now as long as they don't start to dump water again we should be able to use a regular boat ramp. I your going out on the lake be sae, there is going to be a lot o debris in the water, and let someone know what are o the lake you are heading.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Hit the lake at 9:00 and headed to the south ork, cranked ish all day o o chunky rock. Points were the best but still ound them willing to bite down the bank. One o the best ishing days i have had in awhile. I must have put 10 ish in the boat in ten minutes several back to back hookups. Only lost one ish all day right at the boat. Most ish were 14+ had several over 15. Trout were even getting on the hook.
City: brownsvilleTips: iretiger crankbaits o o rocks and stumps

Water Temp: 52-54
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went with two buddies to check out the hot Oroville bite this past Sunday. Fun, un, un! Ater inding all o my avorite points, humps and creek channels a hundred eet above the waterline, it was time to relearn the lake somewhat. Starting in a historically good area in the South Fork, we immediately located a hump out ront o a small secondary point in 25 eet, dropping into 50 eet on the channel ledge. With bait stacked on the hump, we caught 7 nice keepers in short order - 4 drop-shotting, 2 on a dart-head/4" worm combo and one on a spoon. Ater about 30 minutes, the action died o, so we point hopped or the next couple hours with limited success. We inally moved out to the main lake, and ound a large round point at the mouth o a major eeder creek. The point dropped into 45 eet and was immediately adjacent to a small island. In between the island and point was a "unnel" area where the saddle between the two came up to 8 eet and then dropped to 45 eet on either side. BINGO! In the next our hours we proceeded to catch and release close to 40 bass, most above the 15" slot, but nothing over 17". Most ell or the dart-head/worm combo, but we did catch a ew split-shot and Fluke ish as well.
City: Elk GroveTips: Fish are eeding heavily on schools o pond smelt, so we ished mostly shad colored baits. Anything pearl colored did the trick. Most bites came rom 8 to 40 eet, and shaking the baits really seemed to help. Water in the main lake is approx. 1 degree warmer than the South Fork.

Water Temp: dont go swimmin
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: wide open bite . ished the south ork spot spanker worms worked well but when we started throwing crank baits o o chunky rock it was awsome ish ater ish at least 10 over the slot. Fish were mostly on the points but we still did catch them down the bank as long as it was rocky, look or structure
City: brownsvilleTips: chartreuse and black striped crankbaits

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Can you say wide open boys and girls?.....I knew you could! Wow, what a day as the action started on the irst cast and although slowing some around 1:PM, the action was ast and urious. Decided to concentrate on the South Fork and irst cast over a point with a crankbait netted the irst ish. Most ish came either right on the bank or up to 10-15' rom bank working a worm or jig. When the hit it, they hit it and altough we had many in the slot, we must have boated over 12 that were over 15". Water was picture perect and smooth as glass which made Senko ishing even more enjoyable.
City: WHEATLANDTips: Although color had no particular bearing, wacky style seemed to produce the most today as the water was so lat. Biggest ish seemed to relate to a brown color while a ew nice ones were caught on a white tube. You threw it, they ate it!

Water Temp: never looked
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: got a late start got on the lake about ten o'clock. i haven't been to the lake in awhile i can't believe how low it is we launched at the spill way you need 4 wheel drive to launch and it is single lane they are working on the main ramp right now. the wind was blowing pretty good so we thought that we would run up the south ork to get out o the wind but that didn't work we still manged to pull two ish in the south ork on was 14" on the dot and the other was 13" so we thought that we would run up the north ork a little bit and we ound a little cut back and caught two more ish one 14" and the other 17" not to bad or oroville wind was coming up again so we thought we would bring it home and try another day tried or about ten minutes and caught a small trout at the ramp. quit at two o'clock
City: Yuba CityTips: the ish where right on the bank o rock walls and rock to clay traners we caught our ish on 6" magic worms greeny weenie and yamamoto spider grubs cin-black lake never tried or a reaction bite but it could have been there

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: no water in oro so went to shasta they are 90 something eet down and shasta looks ull compared to oroville!!!!!purple/brown worms darthead ish are shallowcaught a ew blade ish no biggins though, just nice to get on a lake that has water in it.
City: chicoTips: is it true i you threw the pond ish bass pellets out in the same place everyday at the same time or a span o one week or more then on tournement day you show up on your spot a little beore that eeding time those ish will show up waiting or you to drop your artiicial bait down where they are in a renzy. it is not considered stacking and you are not using live bait or bait on game day the other thing this guy tells me i 50 guys take there ish and dump them in the same place and you have nothing to do with the stacking and have no knowledge o the stack it is not illegal. this guy has been taking ariel photos in his job and says he has ound humps on oroville and shasta that can only be seen rom aboveI am new to this sport and can ind no rules or oganazations who prohibit these tacticsrom a sportsman stand point not ethical, but rom a proessional standpoint proitable.
