Report: Well another day at the ponds ive been fishing here since before the fence was put in 19 yrs ago and this place has had good ones in it before i think if they made it MANDATORY catch and release this lake could improve tremendously !! i was here opening day and saw 8# smallies taken out i was pissed cause those were not planted the were natives anyhow today i got 3 largies and 2 smallies none over 3# so this place may come back around but its gonna take alot on ALL of us to keep it good! catch and release is a must here please let them go !! maybe my luck is karma who knows

Report: Ok here it is, no B.S. I have fished both horse and rainbow. There are a lot of smallies in H. and mostly largies in R. Out of about 6 trips I have not been skunked and actualy got some about 3lbs. H is a lot more stained than R but the fish are less spookie. All fish cautht on plastics and could not get a jig fish to save my life. ( I guess there is no "dads" in the lake.

Report: Hey there FISHERMAN,PLEASE CATCH AND RELEASE THY BASS.Its kinda like voting, you think if you don't vote it won't make a difference cause your just one person, well there are many not voting thinking the same thing you are,you would never even imagine that many folks!! Not relative to fishing, but it is,If you release you bass catch, guaranteed that fish will either fertilize eggs that year or lay her own eggs to be.And believe me I've caught plenty of BASS with hooks stuck in there mouth and they still continue to bite.Plus there not a resockable item.THANX M.T.
ARRIVED AT RAINBOW AND KEPT OUT OF THE WIND WITH MY GIRLFRIEND TOSSING A BRUSHHOG,SHE WAS CASTING A REBEL SHALLOW DIVER,THEN TRYING A SENKO ,THEN FINALLY AFTER AN HOUR A FOR POUNDER SLAMMED MY 3" ST BRWN GRUB,COULDN'T BELIEVE IT,FRICKEN GREAT!!SHE DIDN'T HAVE A CRAW STICKEN OUT HER MOUTH OR ANYWHERE ELSE,BUT SHE HAD A NICE LARGE BELLY,GUESSING SHES ABOUT TO HAVE BABIES.DIDN'T HAVE A CAMERA,BUT I HAD A WITNESS.THAT WAS MY THERAPY FOR THE HOUR AND A HALF."This evening".

Report: hello ellow bass ishermen, i was walking around horseshoe and saw some trout isherman hook into a nice largemouth with(nightcrw). About 3+ i said you want me to take your picture so you can throw it back, the guy laughed then looked at me like i was crazy . F-u or all people who dont catch and release. POWER TO ALL THAT DO.especially in our local lakes where bass are not native or until they stock it every week like trout.

Tips: Love to ish hate to work, its very pleasing to see some true isherman out there. you know who you are (HI) also watch out or all the tourists while ishing. RELEASE THE BASS tight lines

Report: Hey ellow bass isherman,When you see trout isherman keeping largemouth or smallmouth bass that they have caught while ishing or trout, do what I do. Ask them kindly i you can see their catch. As you lit the bass slowly out o the water, careully drop it back into the water ree rom the stringer by "accident." Apparently, a lot o bait dunkers dont realize that one; bass populations are hurting in a lot o our local lakes and two; as ar as I am concerned, largemouth and smallmouth bass dont please the tastebuds as well as reshly stocked trout do. One o these days, a ew local lakes such as Del Valle, Chabot, and/or San Pablo should enorce catch and release or all bass species. That, or impose a slot limit, allowing either numbers to go up or the average size to go up. Who knows...it could happen. Tight lines...Gone Fishin'

Report: To all volunteers to help us at quarry. Please remember to bring your raingear and gloves just in case. Anyone who needs to get ahold o me can reach me at basshunter4u@aol.com As ar as the shocking goes. I dont work or the parks dept. I go on the shock boat to moniter the bass populations and make sure there is no hanky panky. its because o them transering the bass to quarrys in the irst place is the reason we are dumping trees. Kinda like the parks slap oo the wrist. Remember I am a tournament bassisherman and I care about our lakes.

Report: This message is or Donald C. Osborne....Mr. Osborne, you appear to be very much in tune with the events that transpire in and around the Quarry Lakes area. Can you ill us in on the "Shocking" o Largemouth, Smallmouth, and even Stripers rom all o our surrounding bodies o water to stock the Quarries??! This includes Chabot (which has a population o bass I could probably count on one hand!) This was done without a permit-But o coarse, "IN THE NAME OF GATHERING DATA" right? I you have zero knowledge o these events, pardon me. I you do.... Give US all a break, please?!
