Water Temp: n/a
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Was ishing the Check 12 dam at sunrise using worms/plastic and mudsucker. Landed at least 30 ishes using medium tackle within the our hour that the water was churning. Majority o the ishes were around 16" with some babies and were tearing up the night crawlers. Lots o un battling with the medium tackle. Went home around 10am with two keepers (22" & 23")caught on mudsuckers. Did not see anyone catch any large striper but did see numerous large carp jumping early in the morning. I'm a bank isherman so I normally ish with two poles. A heavy action and a medium action tackle. I use the heavy action tackle or live bait when ishing or bigger ish and use cut bait/worms or the medium action tackle to entertain mysel while waiting or the big one to come and play. Noticed that when the small ones stop biting... the big ones are lurking - be ready!!!
City: san joseTips: Set the hook early when using worms to prevent the hook rom being swallowed. Seen a lot o undersized ish loating on the surace due to these types o injuries. Bring a good pair o pliers and good luck.
