Report: Hey its been a long time since I filed a report on this website, I've been recovering from a broken wrist I suffered on the 12th of May, still not right so I will take it easy and resume my posts.Fished a client(Rich)on 7/3 in at Packers Bay at 0500 started throwing spooks until appox. 0900 caught a total 15 fish, Rich caught biggest one at 4.6# and a 2.5# rest of fish mostly rats, decided to make a run to Big Backbone before the boat traffic picks up, started at 5MH bouy throwing darterheads and worms, we caught another 15 fish all about 1.5#
1200 back to the main body fished until 1330 without a bite, fished mudlines until 1500 throwing blades caught 5 more including a nice 3.0 spot. All said it was a very good holiday weekend and its great to be back on the water

Report: Fishing by 2PM and through 8PM. Hit and miss until about 6PM when the bite turned on. Between my partner and I we Landed ~50 fish... mostly dinks with a limit of keepers and a few in the 2-3lb class.

Tips: Rolling down the bank for fish when things were slow. When the bite picked up, fish were hitting right at the shoreline.

Color didn't seem all that important, but smoke with red flake caught big fish and the browns and green seem to always work. Off at 1, good day lots of dinks but some nice fish to keep it interesting.

Report: back on the water ater a bout with pneumonia, out the last couple o nights out o Hirz Bay, in the water on both occaisions at 715 pm, lake is 4.5 t down and now starting to drop steadily, no wind either night and not much debris, Had my neighbors son with me up rom San Jose, had 38 one night and 28 the next and all small save 4 over 2 and he busted o a good one. He was using gitzits thrown right on the bank, I tossed hula grubs on 3/8oz darter heads, mine were salt and pepper yamamotos and my avorite shasta crawlers in root beer by MGM. bite went great between 730 and 10 and died around 11pm. not a soul out there except or a ellow and his wie catishing. The area around Dooles Creek was the best with a run o 17 caught on as many casts in a row, we easily lost as many as we caught and lost double that last night. I went to the 3/8 oz to slow the drop which really worked, most were right on the bank and the better ish were 10t deep, beautiul starlit night with a little moon last night, the next ew days should be better, all came o o rock walls, the more vertical the better. 89 degrees going in and 72 coming out at midnight. 108 in Redding yesterday, no more ishing in the daytime or me!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 5/30 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Sunny and warm. Caught 25-30 fish, 2 of which were a 2 1/4 lb small mouth and my brother Benny got the big fish of the day a 2 1/2 lb spot. We used a 4 inch green weenie by Roboworm. We tried dart head, drop shot and a mini carolina rig like split shotting only with a 1/16 to 1/8 oz bullet sinker and that was the ticket. Where there was no snags I wackie rigged it and where there were snags I texas rigged the worm. We fished the Squaw creek mouth and east side of Jones Valley just before you go into Squaw creek. Some fish were around trees but most were on drop offs.
    City: San Jose

Tips: If your fish finder does not show fish, split and find a spot that does, learn to trust them and they will save you a lot of time. Fish drop off that go from 0 to 25 feet fast and you should catch fish.
