Let the main body to go up the Bear arm and ish the steep walls and had no luck at all. Ater two hours o skunk decided to go back to the main body and ish the warmer coves.Water got up to 53 deg. and I had a great time ishing the brush and trees. Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Due to a noncooperative boat we didn't get out Friday until the aternoon or a couple o hours (1:30 to 3:30). The weather was unstable most o the weekend, spotty showers and a light breeze Friday which made or an interesting blade bite that didn't hold through Saturday. A small club tournament produced ish to 2.5 lbs, with most ranging around 1.5 lbs. Rocky points were the best producer with sot plastics in 15' to 25', imagine that? A ew ish were a tad bit more aggressive taking an occasional rip bait, blade etc... ...but not requent enough to ill a live-well on Saturday.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Now wouldn't that take all o the un out o the hunt? Ok, only or the kids, green weanies ished too slow or me will stretch your lines rom time to time. Good luck and Happy Hook'in...

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well, what should I do? The last ew weeks at D.V. have not been what I am used to. Last winter at this time 25 to 35 ish days were the norm. Two weeks ago I spent all day at D.V. and had 3 bites and missed them all. My irst time skunked at this lake in probably 8 or 9 years. The 2 trips prior I scratched 3 or 4 bass. No trout or salmon on the troll. No catish on stink baits and not even the sign o a striper near those big plugs I have been tossing. The water is cold and still pretty high or D.V. at this time o the year. The good thing is it is not the color o coee. The lake has retained some o its beautiul green tint.Well, I was thinking Amador, New Melones or D.V. Once again I chose D.V., as you just can

      Tips: Go deep!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Hello again. My buddy Chris and I headed out a little late. We got on the water around 9:30 am. We started out on the penisula. The wind was a little strong, so we worked Beale's point. Nothing. It wasn't until the wind died down that we caught ish. We eventually went back to the penisula when the wind died, and there we roped some nice ish. Working the rock pile and the shoreline. I caught 3 nice ish. 2 spots and a 2.5 lb smallie. I love those smallies. Chris hooked into a couple o nice spots also. The ish seemed to be a little more aggressive as the weather gets a little warmer. This may be the year or a BIG ONE. Lets hope. I'll see ya out on the water. Look or team Rope a Dope.lol. Good catchin.
      City: Roseville

Tips: Chris used split shot worm, and I caught all mine on a split shot tube(browns and black leck). Slow rollin and hoppin it every now and again. Check lines or kinks, I lost a nice one due to that act.

Fished around the whole dock with an uplited conidence, went back to the same spot and hooked up with a 2 pounder! One o my best winter days rom shore in a long time or this lake.

Tips: Small worms, color doesnt seem to matter. Catch and Release.

      Water Temp: 48-52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Should have posted this on Sunday night but got tired and next several days got busy. Launched out o south delta on sunday morning at 9am ater waitng or my buddy who was 2 hours late. Stopped to pay or launch at dock on way out. Saw guy in tan Hawk bass boat coming in that I had seen launch earlier. He asked i I had a scale he could use. Sure, had my trusty 0-50# digital no lyin or guesstimating scale. He pulls up to the dock next to me and my buddy jumps out on the dock to take the scale to him. I'm trying to ind rope to secure my boat when I hear my buddy say ," OH MY GOD!" I turn around to see the biggest, greenist lunker I'll probably ever see. This pig weighed in at 17# 3ounces on my scale!!Another senko victim- Thank you Gary Yamamoto. Guy said irst cast landed him a 2# and second cast hooked the 17# 3ouncer. Said she didn't even ight, just loaded up the rod and he reeled her in and she rolled right over at the boat.Said he knew it was big by the way the rod was bent but didn't imagine it would be that big.Still can't get over how absolutely huge that ish was, especially those big round protruding eyeballs that looked like they came o a 25# rock ish that was just quickly reeled up rom 350 eet.The rest o my day and any ishing day ater rom now on didn't even compare . Caught one 1.5# on brush hog and at end o the day hooked a nice 5# striper on a clown colored jerk bait. Took a picture and let it go. Can now inally say that I've caught a striper while ishing or largemouth.Buddy blanked and said he thinks my boat is bad luck because out o 5 trips on my boat, he's only caught one bass. Fine with me- stay o my boat and use your little 12 ooter.

Tips: No mystery here, as always Senkos rule.Water temp started o at 48 and by 2pm was up to 52 and even hit 53 in shallower areas.Day time high was around 69.

Report: Took a riend out yesterday (Wednesday)in my tin bote. Had a good time and caught ish. Used Senkos, jigs, T-rigged worm, and rip baits. Caught over 20 ish, no biggies, largest 3.6 lbs on digital. Still good level o action throughout the day. Was showing him areas I ish and how and when. Probably had 30 bites or so. Tried several areas, had hits rom most o them, so ish were airly active and easy to catch. Took a huge step, and paid my Amateur entry ees or Western Bass Pro-Am at Clearlake. Looking orward to this new experience. Watch out, Bill!
      City: hal moon bay

Tips: It's pretty simple right now out there. Clear water with some current, resh weeds, depth nearby, and bait. Any place that had this combo had active ish.Good luck, and God Bless,Rob T
