Report: Have you guys checked out the markstails site? It is really neat. Mark is a 14 year old boy who ties tails or the bass lures and can match any lure or any body o water. I use his tails and have been having a lot o success with them. Especially the Lucky Crat rip baits on long sloping points with rock on them. Chartruese shad and Tennessee Shad have been producing well. I the weather gets warmer the rip bite will get even better. Rip, rip with a long pause seems to work best.
      City: Redding

Tips: I weather is real cold brown and brown jigs in channels and rip baits on long sloping points early in the morning, i weather is warm rip bait and spinner bait all day long. Good ishing. Tom Jones

      Water Temp: warming

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Saturday, Sunday and hal day Monday. Saturday in south Delta used rip bait in clearer water and T-rigged worm in dirtier water or 22 ish. Largest only 2.5 lbs or so, but lots o un. Sunday had the privelege o ishing with a new riend rom a iberglass bass boat (Ranger) or the irst time in my lie. Amazing platorm to work o o. Can't say anything about where I was taken since I was a guest, but learned a tremendous amount about general areas and new techniques and baits. First thing that morning lost what may have very well been the biggest bass I have ever hooked. My partner, who has caught several ish well over 10 lbs gave me the stinkeye when I armed the beast at the boat, saying that it was well over 10 lbs. I believe it, because when it hit I KNEW it was one o those 20 lb stripers that I have caught o and on this winter - NOT! The thing rolled at the boat, leaving a huge boil and a broken hearted isherman and irate partner. Bill, I have to give it to you, you said you would put me on a big ish, and you did. Maybe next time. Still, a great day overall, just not a lot o ish. Monday I could not stand it, and so went back to south delta in the aternoon with my tin bote. Caught 21 ish, most small keepers again, biggest, some better ish mixed in - couple over 2 and one at 3lber. Was getting rustrated at lack o size, and rigged up a jig the way my partner the day beore had shown. Started lipping weedline, driting with current. Missed irst 3 hits, set on orth tap, and eventually put an 8 lb largemouth in the boat. It was a triecta - my biggest jig ish to date, my biggest lipping ish, and my biggest Delta ish so ar. Cool!Good luck and God bless, Rob T
      City: hal moon bay

Tips: Had to discipline mysel to get o the rip bait or the smaller ish on Monday. Fish were really hitting and I could have caught 30 ish easily, but orced mysel to put down the pointer and started lipping a bigger jig presentation. I will deinitely do more o this.

      Water Temp: 44.7-45.2

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: got my boat rigged with a new pinpoint and new batteries, ixed up motorguide and moved the X-65 back alongside the console, got up this am and its 54 degrees at 615am, very pleasant, went and put in at Bailey Cove at 645am, irst boat there, air temp 53 and the lake is up just past the 35t mark. a little too dark to due a setup on the pinpoint so ran up the McCloud near the erry with one one right o the bat on the MGM 157 4 inch, another one 20 t down the bank but it jumps o, both were small and just barely legal, moved west to Ycotti creek and stick on a Rainbow worms #99 and start iddlling with the pinpoint, gets things ready and drop the 99 down o the bow and watch it all on the pinpoint, dropped it on some ish and one o them grabs it, at 1.8, down the beach or 3 more on the 99 and all clones at 1.6. stck on a MGM 109 in 4 inch and get two more o a big submerged rock in 13 t. iddled around some more with the pinpoint and ended up completely impressed with this machine. Had all the rigging done at Phils by Stuart? and a very clean job at that, u would never know that anything else was mounted on this boat
      City: Redding

Tips: the 7420 costs $400 but was well worth it, i u need something rigged on a bassboat go see Stuart? at Phils.

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: ishing the dam area is producing nice ish around 50' mark.the ish seem to be staging or the spring due to the nice weather. Mark your calendar, McClure/March 9th/Glenda 892-5252. Try a circuit without a membership ee (one time only @ McClure)The lake has dropped a little in preparation or the snow melt. So the ish are a little suspended, drop-shot/grub time. I think you will be pleasantly suprised @ the generous pay back, and people who listen to the angler, with a boat at the end.
      City: Hughson

Tips: Slice leaches and mop-top Yamamoto's seem to be getting the job done. Shad patterns
