Water Temp: 52-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out o Paradise at irst light in hopes o inding some good bass or the New Bass Tourney on the 23rd. We went to our trusty tourney areas that we have let alone all winter and ound ish right away on a variety o baits. Now the trick is getting them to bite on a completely opposite tide this weekend. Fish were up tight on points and up against the tule walls. Ater we ound the bass, we decided we could go run up into Potato and have un with the striper. Caught 10 ish up to 6 pounds, but had to work a little harder or them today. All ish caught on rips and rattle traps. Got o the water at 2:30.
City: rosevilleTips: We are already inding water to 57 degrees in some places, so the bite will be wide open beore you know it. Deadsticking the senko and dark plastic bite was good or us. John lost a really good bass on a rip bait.

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Finally got on some ish. Did the usual anchor ishing or striper a ew hours with my ishing buddy and started at about 9:00am in ranks. Caught 3 within the 1st hour all around 3lb.. Tried to get the spinner bite goin in Taylor since water temp was about 53 but no go. Went back to the breaks in Franks and caught 4 more between 2-3 lb. My buddy ended up with 2, 1 undersized shaker and one about 2lb. Done by 2:00pm. Total count 9 ish, largest 5 went about 15lb.
City: stknTips: I either got very lucky or am getting better. 7 o the 9 ish came o o a lipped brush hog or 6in worm. The other 2 came o a speedtrap. couldn't get a spinner ish. All ish came near or in moving water.

Report: Got out on the water at day break, ished long main body long points. Had amazing results, using LUCKY CRAFT RIP BAITS MATCHED PERFECTLY WITH MARKS TAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!RIP RIP AND PAUSE seemed to work best the bite lasted or about 3 hours with 5 ish over 2 lbs. with the biggest one over 3 lbs. Then I switched over to brown jigs with super pork and landed 2 more that exceded 2 lbs. and 1/2 dozen keepers.

Water Temp: 52 F
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished or six hours and managed only two strikes. One strike was a 17 lb 3 oz black bass, which was boated ater it hit a 9 inch MS Slammer. Panic set in. Where is the camera, where is the electronic scale, where the hell is the net? One ish and enough excitement or the entire day.
City: DublinTips: Never have caught more than 3 bass a day at San Pablo, so why not throw a big bass bait, everybody else was.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished or bass around the dam and the water tower rom about 1-5. Didn't get a bite. We used senko's, crankbaits, craw jigs, and brush hogs. Didn't see any action really, very ew trout and only talked to one person who caught a bass. Better luck next time.Scott

Caught 20+ ish each. Not much size (10" to 14" bass and one 4" perch) but lots o un. Caught ish primarily in 40' to 60' draggin' twin tail hula grubs, drop shotting, or shaking 4" worms on dart heads. Got a ew up shallower but less consistent bite. Lookin' or a un time get a hold o Rob at basshull@aol.com he'll treat you right!!Tight Lines,Gary

Kept goin down along the shoreline and got a very lite bite, came o though. ound this cove and casted out and noticed my line moving o to the side, reeled in the slack, and got a nice healthy 3 pound emale. took a picture, then let it go, then ound out i had no ilm, dammit.
Tips: use senkos along shoreline, and look or points in tulies, or coves. catch and release only. good luck.

Report: Fished Friday Feb. 15. South Delta, as usual. Got out late, and looked or clear water, used rip bait or 8 quick ish just to conirm they were still around. Better size, enough 2+ lb ish and one over 3 to make it interesting. Decided to ish the rest o day in general area and Widows/Italian or another 8 ish, making 16 total. Jig ish would not go, but put solid 4.5 lb ish in boat on Senko - gotta love that bait!. Also several on spinnerbait and T-rigged worm (smaller ish) in dirtier water. Met some good olks on water as well.Good luck and God Bless,Rob T
City: hal moon bayTips: I will be the irst to admit that my good ortune is very condition speciic, and has much more to do with luck than skill this last couple o months. For what it's worth, the ish are deinitely staring to get more active and moving up. Likely won't get back out on Delta till ater Clearlake tourney, so y'all save one or me. Durbin, call me, I have some new ino. or you.

Water Temp: 45-50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The Bass all went to Arizona or the winter. They will be back when the water temp reaches about 55. There is a good amount o snow up in the high contry so the run o will be substantial. The lake is about 6 t. lower than it was at this time last year. Rocky point is not producing the ish it did last year because o water depth. A 16+ was caught on the big trout in Jan. It is getting mounted. It ate the bait and the bait could not be removed. The lake is healthy again ater the summer die o. The die o did not eect the bass. Mostly crappie and squaw ish. RIP Dick
City: KernvilleTips: White cranks deep. Watermellon red lake dropshot in 36+. The big trout on hot sunny aternoons

Report: Fished Sunday the 17th rom 9:30am to 2:00, Fished 4-5 inch jumbo minnows and caught one 4 1/2 lber, we had 3 people in the boat and 1 ish caught and all 3 people have caught a ton o bass using minnows in the past but the cold ront that moved through put a stop to the bite this trip. I was watching a guy ishing a school o bait ish and he would not move or 1 hr I watched him ish one tight spot, beore I let I asked him i he was ishing a school o bait ish and he said yes, he said he just dropped a 4 lb at the boat and just beore I let He landed a 6.8lb on a carolina rigged 3 inch brush hawg, it looked jun bug in color. He did better than us using minnows but I have done that beore using a jig, Me and my riends were using minnows and not catching any so I switched to artiicial and caught a ew.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: A note to Mike - keep throwing 'em back... you're doing the right thing. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't have a trophy. You mentioned you've got pictures. Next time take the weight measurements too (girth and length) along with the photos or markings and ship them o to someone that does iberglass mounts. We ound a guy in Fullerton at the Fred Hall show that does incredible work. Honestly, they look more like real ish than the live mounts I've seen. But be careul, I've seen some really truly hurrendous iberglass mounts too. I'm not here to advertise - so I won't post the guy's name here. I you're interested just send me an e-mail and I'll send you his contact ino. Also wanted to ask you guys what the best time o year was or a trip to the lake. Last year my buddy and I had the best trip I could imagine with a 7+ and a 5+ in the same day. Not a lot o numbers though and my partner wasn't so lucky. We were there the weekend beore Memorial Day weekend. Is there a better time or numbers o ish or weather??Thanks.

Report: This lake has gone down the tubes... We got out beore lunch and caught 1 Largemouth and 2 Smallies. Slow the rest o the day. The numbers on this lake have seem to declined? what gives? use to be able to catch 20-30 ish a day with some toads in the mix. Anytime o the year. Has anyone noticed else noticed this?
City: LivermoreTips: Fish a jig in 15' o water o the structure... They smacked the heck out o it. Duh Jigs all the way!!!

Shasta Lake
-
Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Bailey Cove at 6:30. Fished the McCloud all day.My buddy and I caught 33 ish on the day. We didn't catch many big ish, but not many real dinks either. 1.15,1.13,1.10 and 1.8 were the big ish. Every ish was taken on 39 colored worms. Couldn't get bit on the Hula grubs that had been working well in the past couple o weeks. Many o our ish were taken in 10 eet o water or less. Reddish brown banks with rocky points were the key to the more shallow ish.
City: Redding,CaTips: Fish very slowly. Sometimes just let the worm lay on the bottom ater shaking it or a while. Can't beat a 39 worm.

Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished a tournament on Sunday, shasta Cascade bass anglers. Did very well, I won it. The ish are on the move they are hungry, and are changing there locations dailey,so you have to look or them and pay attention to the subtleties o nature. Nature will tell you what she is doing i you liston. Last weekend I got second place in the sunday redding bassers, and I sat on one point or 5 hour culling two pounders by noon. This sunday things changed I couldn't catch anything on that point. So I had to go look or ish and just started down the bank,I couldn't ind any good ish on the points, they had moved to the cuts and on the washouts.I never caught two good keeper on one spot. I just targeted the same structure every place I ished. Unortunatly I lost a six pound pluse ish at the boat reaching or my net. Would have liked to weigh that one in. Caught everything on jigs in the mouth on the Sac. Brown on Brown. Try throwing them to the bank and shacking them all the way back to the boat and hold your boat in 50 eet o water.Stopped to take a brake and drop shotted three ish and none o them were as big as the jig ish.
City: ReddingTips: Throw jigs, jigs and more jigs. Try shacking the hell out o them.

Report: I don't have time for all the specifics they ask for above but I just wanted to give a big thumbs up to Mark's Tails. They made a beliver out of me. HEY MARK I know you check this site once in a while and those ripbait tails you matched up for me helped me to have one of the best fishing days I've had in a long time. I was having what I thought was a good day, some 3 and 4 pounders and a couple of 5's, using LUCKY CRAFT rip baits with the tails you matched up for me, when I decided to put your tails on matching rattle traps. I was dragging along the channels and BAM he hit like I couldn't believe. I landed a 6.5 spotted bass that you wouldn't believe I can't wait to try your tails on Orville tomarrow!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS MARK
Tips: I haffta tell ya, these tails make all the difference in the world, check out his website at www.markstails.com he can match any lure you ask him to he is amazing and better yet the results are incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Water Temp: 50-52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Head o to Franks Tract about 7 am and started ishing the outer tule banks where the water seemed clearer with a little current low. Once the sun hit - about 8 am - we started having some luck in the shallows where it was still pretty clear and there was some depth nearby. Landed three (1.9, 5.1, 1.7) and missed others. Ater the conditions changed we went exploring up in Potato slough as conditions dropped towards low tide and caught a ew others to 2 lbs. ishing tule points where depth was present. Nice to have a good day ishing and catching or a change.
City: Union CityTips: While most strikes were rom senko's - all were ishing in the clearest water with depth on the other side o our boat. We ished close and quiet and caught them at the tule edge as well as in the irst set o weeds.
