Water Temp: 71-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well I must say this has to be my avorite lake. Today was my second time ishing here, and it was an awesome day. We decided to start up North, because when I was out here in the Spring we spent our day in the middle and South orks. Anyway it worked out well. I tried to ish the areas that looked a little dierent, so we started on a slopping point. In about 15 min. we bladed 4 ish the irst being the biggest just over the slot but all 4 ish were at. We kept the trolling motor going and got a couple more on a jig and a worm. We decided to move up the ork and stopped at a wall with some huge boulders and caught a couple more on jigs. I missed a ew on the jigs you really had to let them take the bait, because they kept ripping my grub o the jig. One thing I noticed though that changed my day was that on two ocasions ater the miss on the jig either that ish or another ish nailed it reeling back in. Time or some crankin. Tied on a deep little n, and started some butt whoopin. We moved over to the lat areas by the old railroad bridge and caught ish ater ish with the largest a 4lb. spot. The other ish were either at the slot or just over. Hardly any dinks were caught today. We caught some more on jigs and one on senko in the trees. We went up the south to try an area we ished in the Spring, and cranked away with a bunch o quality ish. My unnest two days this year were spent here. This is an awesome ishery wish I lived closer. Good luck.
City: Eldorado HillsTips: I matched the crank bait color to the jig. Brown and Orange. Although we switched the jig to purple with a brown trailer later on and did better. No ish caught on worms today, which was a relie I have to ish that way at Folsom alot. We caught over 30 with hal being caught on crank bait including the 4lber.

Report: What a day!!- launched at 2:00 and decided to redeem mysel since what I had been doing had not been working. So instead o ishing vertically (jigs, dropshot etc.) I went to all horizontal stu ( blades and cranks). The irst point I came to I get hammered, and halway back to the boat I see at least 8 other 4 pounders trying to take the crank outta my ishes mouth, and sure enough she comes unbuttoned, but not or long, one o the other ones nails it- 4.2!! The best part was I got to see it!!Ok, Im iguring they are aggressive (nice change rom the summer) so lets see i they want Mr. Spook-- they did. So now Im thinking, its just a ish, just give em what they want. So I continued with these two presentations and within a two hour period I had close to 15 pounds. Like I have said beore, when you get on em at the right time you look like you know what you are doing, and the other way you want to sell the boat. Those Damn Spots!!!
City: ReddingTips: Hazard Advisory: when you come outta Bridge Bay and come around the Island to go under the I-5 bridge there is an Island just coming out o the water on the back side o the Island where everyone parks. Stay to your let!!! Also, i you are heading up the Mccloud, just ater the bridge as you go under the high voltage lines, the irst point comes out about 100 yards, so go way to your right!! Jones valley has its obsticles too. Don't go ull throttle anywhere unless you are amiliar with the lake being this ar down. Eventhough its slowed down I am inding new hazards everytime I go out.

Report: Took my daughter out to teach her how to cast. Thank god or the Zebco company, you will always get business rom me. Had her throw a 1/4oz spinnerbait in the break while I tossed a DUH spinnerbait, red 1/4oz speed trap, and lipped and pitched a Berkely pulse worm (red shad). 1 bite in break (the water was very dirty) missed it. Went to Franks and cranked a 3lber in north Franks. Not another LMB or the day. Got into the schooly stripers big time, always un to get my daughter used to ighting the ish. She learned quick on casting and did ok ighting the one bass, and many stripers. We will be ishing the 1st Hook tourney. She is excited (7 year old). This should be un.

Report: 5 keepers over the weekend for under 6lbs. Club TOC event. One on a crank early Sat off the big island, one on a popper same location Sun am. Three on drop-shot 40 feet in Putah plus dinks. Winner was Jim Scarbury and his partner Don Stanely with over 17lbs. They were on largemouth on main lake weeds beds. Jim is this clubs angler of the year and a top local stick in other circuits in the region. Second place had over 12lbs all on soft plastics on rock points.
City: EL Dorado HillsTips: Water temperature is still warm and largemouth can be targeted shallow on the right cover. On steep walls and points use your electronics to find baitfish.

Water Temp: 68-70
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out o Paradise at irst light with my buddy John. We started down in Whites with speed traps and topwater and had very little luck. John hooked a couple small bass on the speed trap and I had a couple blow ups on the chugger, but nothing to brag about. Around 8:30 I was dog tired and decided to lay down or a while, as I was pulling an all nighter due to a surprise b-day party. I woke up around 10 and asked John how he was doing. He said he had got a ew more small ish to 2 pounds on traps and senkos. Over the next couple hours we got 4 or 5 small stripers to 16 inches and a 5 or 6 more bass to 3 pounds. Neither one o us were really into the trip and decided to call it a day at 1pm. Overall, we inished with a dozen bass or so and 4 or 5 stripers. I think we could o done much better, but I was o little help in my tired state.
City: RosevilleTips: The striper are really starting to show, but the big ones don't seem to be in yet. We are looking orward to the bruisers coming in as last year we had a 26 and a 32 pounder with numerous ish over 10. The cool part is we aren't even targeting stripers. They just hit the baits while we are chucking or blackies. For blacks, our most consistent pattern has been on the outside o weed lines. The reaction bite should really start taking o with the cool weather.

Report: Fished with 30 Annual delta open put on by the San Joanquin Bas Rustlers with Ed Cole. Launched @ "Sae lite" rom Ladds headed north and hit a wall o og. Decided it wasn't worth the risk so we shut it down and started crankin' the main channel got 1 keeper and a dink on red cranks. Little did we know that we were only about 1/4 mile rom the end o the og. Tough bite or the entire day. Stayed mostly in middle and south delta. Found a plastics bite on points with deep water near. Most ish were taken tight into the tulies. We weighed 4 ish or 12 lbs (manny did not weigh a limit)with our big ishing going 6lb 4 oz. on a 6" senko 284. (good enough or a 2nd big ish check!)
City: RWCTips: Blades won the tournament, but we never ound the blade bite. Look or points with a little current and deep water near and pitch plastics right up tight to the tulies. I that doesn't work er ya, talk Ed Cole into takin' you out in that "Sweet Cobra" and he will show ya how to do it!!

Report: I guess all o these reports can't be "braggin" reports. I have nothing to brag about today. I launched out o Paradise Point at irst light.I threw what I thought was right.....buzzbait...s/baits...Senkos....rogs...cranks...worms..and jigs. Not a single bite rom 6:20 a.m. 'till 11:00 a.m. No question that I was at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong bait.Guess I'll have to give it another shot during the week. I'm hoping that others will post that were more successul, to tell me where I went wrong. They CAN'T spank me this way!!

Report: My trip Saturday night was similar to the Lone Angler's, except my clients missed most o their bites. I think they set several times when the bass blew out the bait - it was a bit windy and I don't think they elt the pickups. They were very happy to get out on Clear Lake, since I had to send them home twice during the summer because the lake was to dangerous because o high winds. We did land 7, and they did get some quality bass - one ellow matching his personal best o 4 lbs, along with another just under 4 lbs, and the other client with his personal best, a beautiul 5-1. He was very happy to hook that one, ater missing about 7 in a row. He caught it on a black/red baby brush hog - the second or third trip in a row where the small brush hog has produced the biggest ish o the trip. Interesting! He also caught that ish in the area called the "bear", a place I havn't night ished in quite a while. That made it exciting! I should add that our 5 best were a shade over 20 lbs. I did some ishing, but not too seriously since controlling the boat or them in the wind is my main job. I only managed 3 up to 3 1/2 lbs - they wern't too interested in a jig or a crankbait, which is what I was trying. Most o our ish were shallow too. There has been a major ish movement in the past ew days - areas that were ull o bass last week (at least at night) were empty last night. Carp were gone too. I'll try to igure it out this week. I will have to add that our bass were very at, and more healthy looking than normal. Are the bass down south eating better?!
City: Yuba CityTips: Brush hogs, especially the smaller ones, and Power Hogs are good night baits right now at night. They were good last all and winter too. Soon the jig will rule - I hope!!!

Report: Preishing or the Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club Invitational on Oct 20-21. Tough ishing or the most part but right at dawn, while ishing towards the south part o the lake (in my kickboat) had a nice 3-4lber blowup on my buzz right next to shore. 5 minutes later had one about 6+ lbs blowup right next to my boat! Just slapped at the thing but got to see the entire ish - whew! Another 5 min later I inally got one! Slammed the buzz about 10 eet rom the boat in about 20t o water! Played the ish, came to the surace a couple o times and ended up being about an 8lber!For the rest o the day talked to guys ishing the 100% (I think) and most guys were only catching a ew small ones. I didn't get a bite ater the morning. Ouch!

Report: 6:45 am started at Jenkins Hill & ished to mouth o Graveyard Creek. Most o the irst hr. was w/a jerk bait & a Zara Spook w/no takers. Switched to split shot green weenies boating a 13" black at 7:40 am. 10 minutes later hooked another 13" w/same rig. Fish were about 5' o bank in 10' o water near allen trees. Fishless or next hour then had bass busting shad behind us so my son threw a suspending jerk bait, bleeding shad pattern, & a 2 lber. hit it on splash down. Fishless or another hour so headed to Willow Creek where my wie hooked a dink, split shot grn weenie, & our son woke us all up when he set the hook on a drag stripping 5 lber. that never suraced until it got to the boat. Unortunately it had whiskers & had inhaled a split shot leech pattern grn. weenie. Went back to where we started & the wie wormed up a 13 incher worming in 20' o water at the point o Jenkins Hill. No more takers so headed to Rogers Creek where we wormed, cranked, & spooned until 1 pm w/no success. Went back to ishing Jenkins to Graveyard Creek where we ished until 2:30. This time I put the boat in 20' o water & we spit shot worms on the deep water side o the boat which boated another 2.5 & a 14 incher. Our six keepers tipped the scales at 8 1/2 lbs..
City: DelhiTips: Tough bite but split shot worms then some type o top water where you ind shad chasing bass. Steeper rock w/wood banks w/better ish coming out o 25' to 35' depths.

Report: Well,It was pretty good, we were catching alot o ish o an old bait in the box called a "crazy Shad". I used silver and black, my partner used gold and black. Both worked exceptionally well. We caugt a total o 23 ish and 3 o the bunch were 7 pounds or better. The largest weighed in at nice 11 lbs 14 ozs. All ish were released and it was a real good day. Alot o ish working the surace, all the people we talked to were ishing worms texas rig. They were not catching that many. We were even realing them in around a ew olks. They saw us catching ish and they come right up on us where we were ishing. I know back in Texas that will cause alot o problems. But we laughed as we caught 5 ish right in ront o them. It was a great day or using top water well "crazy shad".
City: San MarcosTips: I you don't have 3 or 4 crazy shad lures in your box. You can also try a tiny torpedo, anything with a blade on it. Just rake it across the surace with a 4 second hesitation.Usally the ish will nail when the ripples settle around the bait.
