Water Temp: 70ish?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the 100% uture pro today with Champ Driver. We stuck with our game plan rom a pre-ish last week. Buzzbaits in the morn, blades and senkos all day. We stayed at our 2 primary spots. Middle delta both above and below holland riverside marina. Only one ish on buzzbaits. The rest were on spinnerbaits and senkos. Mostly blades all day. Culled a couple. 14.82lbs or 5th place. No big ish or our sack. Stuck to outside o weed lats. White or shad colored spinnerbaits. rootbeer senkos, (one on blk/blu).Probably caught 15 ish between us.
City: Corte maderaTips: Others said no blades but we've been workin hard or them. Weeds near moving water seemed to be the key. Sometimes we got bit in the weeds, others just outside or even at the boat! Persistance is the key.

Report: Mr. Steve do not give up on Clear Lake, unless you do not want to ish the best ishery in Cali, or the western states.Clear Lake holds huge numbers o huge bass. I was the same way until I ished the lake at least 20 times. Now I at least put one 5lber in the boat per trip and there are alot better isherman then me out there. Good luck and "GOD BLESS AMERICA".

Water Temp: 77
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: It is hard to tell these days which is better - day or night ishing. I took a client Thursday, starting about 6:30 am. He is a good isherman and by 8:15 we had six in the boat, including his at 5-1 on a black/red DD-22 crankbait, and my skinny 7-2, caught on my new avorite bait (at least this week) - a brown/orange Weapon jig with a camo Mad Man craw trailer. This large bait is attracting some big bass or me lately at Amador and now at Clear Lake. I lost one around 7 also. They were really nailing that jig combo. We also used dead ringer worms and small brush hogs. I also landed a 6-10 at 1:30 in the aternoon on the jig pattern. We wound up with 10 bass in the boat, with our top 5 at 26 1/2 lbs. We ished up and down the Clearlake Oaks arm and and Konocti area, targeting mostly rocky areas. A very nice trip!! Ater he let, I took a short nap and went back out. I stopped at Shag Rock and managed to catch a 7-10 on the same jig setup. It was the only bite I got there. I ished a bit ater dark, landing a 5-2 and a 3-9 on a junebug Flippin' Tube, a new bait I am trying at night. I think it works! Saturday night I took three young, un guys out to see how many times they could get tangled (kiddin'!). We started with rogs south o Buckingham, and one o them does the unthinkable - catches a 3 pounder on the irst cast!! I told them that would ruin the trip - but it didn't. He was using a white snagproo rog. Though this was their irst time to rog ish, each o them got a blowup, but missed the others. We stuck with it until dark - to no avail. Ater dark we threw Power worms, dead ringers and brush hogs. Finally, one o the guys hooks a nice 4-1 on a black/red big brush hog. We ished several areas in Konocti Bay, Wheeler Point, and the east side, near Moniter Island. We wound up with 9 bass, the ive biggest right at 21 lbs. The ellow with the 4-1 got a 5 pounder on the same brush hog, and the ellow who had never really bass ished beore, hooked a large bass that broke o, and on the very next cast, threw into the same dock, and landed a 5-5. He was using the baby brush hog. So much or the big bait/big bass theory! I'm sure we would have had a much better night, but I was battling swirling winds most o the trip, making boat control very diicult with 4 people!
City: Yuba CityTips: There was a discussion on the orum recently about whether bass stay in the weeds at night. I am here to tell you they do - even in late summer!! This is the second night trip I have been ishing clients in weedy areas. Shaking a Power Worm or dead ringer worm through the weeds is creating vicious strikes. Fun, un!!!! Also, the notion that the guy in the ront o the boat had an advantage is bogus, in my opinion. When I occasionally ish three clients, most o the time the guy in the back has the best night. Even though the guy in the back on this trip had the least experience, he hooked the 2 largest bass o the trip, and I was ishing at the time. Don't ever be discouraged i you are a back-seater. I think that is an advantage, unless you are going down the bank in the spring, and the ront seater doesn't leave you anything to ish, or is moving too ast. But in open water ishing, the person in the back can really concentrate on what his bait is doing, and not have to battle the trolling motor, especially in the gentle breezes o Clear Lake!!

Report: On the water at 0630 and ished the mouth o the Squaw. Caught 2 on a luke in about 6' o water while my son threw a topwater with no bites. Moved up the Squaw and threw the topwater over a wind blown point or 3 blowups and 1 quality chunky ish at about 15+". Dropshotting the rest o the day til noon produced numerous 14" clones with the best being a nice smallie that measured o the board but weighed just at 2 pounds. Lots o short ish.
City: ReddingTips: Windy points produced early, then deep to about 25' or the dropshot ish. Texas rigged and darthead worked also, but more ish bit the drop shot.

The lake is clearing up rapidly and the mudlines are gone, upper pit is a bit treacherous or those unamiliar with low water conditions,Centimundi should have two lanes but one is heavily silted in, Packers is now the busiest along with the private ramp at Bridge Bay Resort.

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Talk about rustrating. My buddy and I ished the New Bass Tourney on Saturday and were eeling very optimistic due to the act that we ahd been on a dynamite plastic bite or the last month or so. The weather was a little breezy in the morning, but other than that it was about the same conditions we have had our last 3 trips or so. So, when we boated a 6.2 on a Senko within the irst 20 minutes o the tournament we though we were on our way to a very respectable tournament. Man, does ishing have a way o humbling you when you start to count your chickens. Over the course o the next 7 hours or so we only landed another 3 keepers and those were on three dierent baits. Overall we landed close to 20 ish, but 16 out o the 20 were undersize. Doesn't it just igure that we had been on a solid 2 pounder bite bite or months and when it comes to money time the 2's are no where to be ound. The winners had 22 pounds with only six ish, but one o them was 8 pounds. We ended up inishing around 20th, but did get a nice $270 check or 2nd big ish. Both big ish were got on senkos irst thing in the morning.
City: RosevilleTips: I thought ater the tournament I would have some good tips to share, but I am pretty much at a loss or a consistent pattern. I did notice that the spinnerbait and rattletrap bite has picked up a little. Although most o our ish that were landed on the baits were undersize, we did have a couple o keepers throw the baits within the irst couple seconds o being hooked. I would expect with the cooler weather coming that the reaction bite should start to take o very soon.

Water Temp: 71

Report: Fished the Loomis Basin Bassmasters tournament launching out o Paradise Point, early Saturday. We covered a lot o water trying dierent baits ... the closest to a pattern was a baby brushog in watermelon, and red-colored crankbaits, all along the outside o the weedline on a moving tide. We inished the day with 4 keepers, biggest ish caught was 5lbs, 12oz. on a crankbait just a hal-mile rom the ramp.
City: AuburnTips: speedtrap or bomber in crawdad color, baby brushhog in red/green, ast moving water or eddys around points

Report: Quick trip mainly to just get out & wet a line, get away & rest the mind. My wie & I had a good time on the water w/ew distractions. I guess the keeper ish knew it was just a little quiet time we needed ater this past week so they let us alone. We got three decent bites between us on split shot green weenies & motor oil curly tail worm but missed them rom lack o concentration. Dinks were plentiul everywhere chasing shad. Hooked about ten >12" on an Ivanhoe splash it crystal wht. top water & split shot green weenies. Fished the dam, south side across rom the day camp, & tulles across rom the creek mouth. On the water at 7 am & o by 11 am. Talked to a couple other boaters who were concentrating on ishing more than us & they hadn't hooked any keepers either.
City: DelhiTips: Only can tell you how to hook the dinks today. Top water or the dinks chasing shad then split shot green weenie worms or motor oil curly tail worms where there is no surace activity.

Report: Caught over twenty bass. Most under one pound. Hal dozenin the one to three pound range. Caught all the bigger ish on a Bill Norman Deep Little N in a crawdad pattern. Caughtall o them on rocky points at the north end o the lake beore 8:30 am. The small ish were jumping on smoke sparklecrappie jigs and 4" hologram shad RoboWorms ished drop-shot.
City: VenturaTips: Crawdad pattern crankbaits seem to be the lure right nowat Piru. Normans, Fat Raps, and Rat-L-Traps are all working.Crank the lipped ones (Normans and Fat Raps) right down to thebottom so they're grinding into the rocks and mud.
