I've been invited to ish in the Inter-club Tournament on Sunday with a co-worker. Any ways, I just did some mojo shotting with 4" black power worms around H & H and at the Stockton Water Ski Club. Hooked alot o dinks to 13"s. On June 4th, the custom Valco bass boat,"BASS BUSTER 1", will me moved across the street to the Stockton Sailing Club and kept on the trailer inally!!!! The new location o operations will be known as Buckley Cove, Stockton instead o Ladd's Marina. I really enjoyed keeping my boat there, but they won't let me keep the boat and trailer together. I hope to meet some new poeple out on the water this weekend. Good Luck to everybody whose competeing this weekend. By the way, save some or me on Sunday.
      City: Stockton, Ladd's Marina

Tips: The senko bite is still hot. The bass are hitting all dierent colors. 5" and 6" preerred. I've been doing well also with 6 " majic worms o the major points along the main channel.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Good day on the water. Launched at 5 a.m. headed to favorite point, only to land 2 fish on a Yo-Zuri Pop n' Splash. I can't say I was impressed with the lure, and I am not sure it was worth the 8 bucks. Switched over to a mini Pop-R, after heading to our next destination along a shady canyon wall. Landed 9 more fish before 8 a.m., 7 on the Pop-R, and only 2 on magic worms!! The worm bite was very slow today, it may pick up later in the day. We tried, black/ chart tails, red craw, and morning dawn, and nothing was producing well. But the fish were killing topwater. 13 fish total, not bad for three hours before work! Had a blast on topwater too, should have had over 20, but let's just say there were many missed hoooksets:)
      City: Vacavile

Tips: Tips I would have right now: 1.) Get out EARLY, no later than 6 am. 2.) If you see fish feeding on top of the water, splashing around, cast over to it ASAP, the fish will hit it just about everytime. 3.) When fishing the popper, as soon as the bait hits the water, let it sit for about 10 seconds, especially if your lure is near cover. If you are not hit in 10 seconds, twitch it once and let it sit another 5 seconds. If nothing then, twitch, twich, pause back to the boat. 4.) Cast to structure. The fish that are still shallow, are holding tight to bolders, and trees. Get your lures in there, and get ready.

Went Back out the same evening to ind and meet up with Jim Conlow who came up with amily and riends, put in at Centimundi at 730 pm and over to the dry ork inlet and ound Jim, ran over into big backbone at 9pm and stayed in there tossing jigs until 2 am or about 55, jim caught more than I did and averaged a little better weight than I but I got lucky or the big ish with a 3.2 at 130 am. Jim hadn't ished Shasta at night beore but I think he will ish it in the uture! windy and cool evening but the spots were in the mood, Jim must have caught at least 35 ish, a couple were around the 2.0 mark, most were dinks with mine being the dinkiest but a lot o un, about 11pm something rolled a large rock o the bank and we got a good look at a good sized bear, they are moving down early this year, poor eeding conditions and the attraction o ood on houseboats is going to make or an interesting bear season. Jim was stossing a 3/8oz rig, mine was 5/8 oz most o the time, the bite was the best rom 11pm on.

Report: First time on the lake with the boat in a while. Lakes come up from the filling it has been receiving and it looks great. Not to mentent that the fishing wasn't hurting either. Got 18 fish, first one was a 7#'er on the frigin' senko, but heck if it keeps catching fish like this I'll keep throwin' it! What a welcome back to the lake. It was breezy all day which didn't hurt the bite. Got fish on cranks in chrome color and bluegill pattern, buzzbait fish in bright colors, senko in salt and pepper and watermellon, dropshot rigs with natural colored worms, heck everything I threw got bit. Very fun day...

Tips: Don't think that a buzzbait only gets bit in the morning and evening, I got my buzz fish between 2PM and 4PM. and they just killed the sucker. Fished over weedbeds with it and caught three fish that were better than three pounds each. Besides the 7 on the senko I caught another fish that was better than 4 on the salt and pepper fishing it like a topwater with 5 second pauses, then would bring it back to the surface and work it fast again. Fun lake. But like most have seen them selfs who fish this lake, those looser jet skiers are really dumb! Thats the best word I could think of when describing what I see them do during the day. The amount of times they would go into the 5MPH sections of the lake and do doughnuts and crap really pissed me off. The sad thing was seeing the patrol boat just driving around the lake acting stupid and not doing a damn thing to control these loosers. Which might explain why they act the way they do on this lake.
