Water Temp: 78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: GOT ON THE WATER BY 6AM THROWING A DROPSHOT WITH A 4IN X-MAS TREE COLORED WORM. BETWEEN MY PARTNER AND I WE BOATED 4 FISH IN ABOUT HOUR AND HALF. THREW PIG AND JIG,TOPWATER,AND BACK TO THE DROPSHOT. NO LUCK!9:30 AM SWITCHED TO OLD RELIABLE, THE TEXAS RIG! 6INCH MARGARITA MAULER. 1ST CAST, A SHAKE OR TWO, AND THERE HE WAS3LBS+ THEN ABOUT 5 MORE FISH AT 1 TO 2LBS EACH. I HAD ONE WORM LEFT AND MY PARTNER SWITCHED TO TEXAS RIG, SO I OPENED UP A BAG OF 6INCH OXBLOOD LIGHT AND PROCEDED TO OPEN UP A CAN OF "WHOOP ASS" ON AT LEAST 15 MORE FISH FROM 2 TO 4 LBS.11AM: SOMEONE TURNED THE SWITCH OFF. NOTHINGFROM 11AM TILL 12:15 AND IT WAS TIME TO GET HOME TO THE WIVES. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THIS WAS ONE OF MY BEST DAYS AT AMADOR LAKE. FINALLY IT WAS WORTH PAYING THERE FEES.
City: ELK GROVETips: SAW SOME GUYS WORKING THE TOPWATER BUT THAT WASNT THE CASE TODAY. DROPSHOT IN ABOUT 10-20 FT OF WATER AND A 6 INCH WORM BLACK GRAPE,OXBLOOD LIGHT,AND MAYBE EVEN AARONS MAGIC. BY THE WAY, THEY WERE ZIPPER WORMS BY ROBO.

Water Temp: 74+
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Had a great time fishing topwater until about 10 a.m. After the sun hit the water we could still get fish in the shade, especially on steep boulder filled banks. Had a novice with me and even he stuck fish really early. If you ever wanted to take a friend that does'nt fish much to have a great time, now is your chance to put him/her on a good topwater bite. But get to the lake at daybreak. White spinnerbaits in the sun worked o.k. later on. Did'nt throw anything slow moving (worms, jigs) as I try to avoid doing so unlees I am forced. It puts me to sleep. Could'nt get a fish to hit a crank or jerk bait.
City: PinoleTips: Iovino - splash it- silver with purple back. Cast 2 inches from shore or better yet, beat that $20 lure to death and throw it on the bank and drag it in. One pop and the water explodes - YA BABY, that's what I'm talkin about.

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Got out at irst light and started in the Whites area. I started with a spook and my buddy was throwing a Senko. The senko bite was slow, but I had our nice blowups right away on the topwater, hooking 3 with the biggest going 6 1/2 pounds. As soon as the sun got on the water we went looking or rog areas. The rog bite was pretty slow, but I did lose a 5+ on the only blow up I had. We struggled until about 1pm and then got on a good rip-rap bite with blades. About 2 pm we ound some submerged weeds and saw some bass coming up ater dragon lies that were buzzing over the water. We started to throw rogs and worms over the weeds and got on a great bite. We hit probably 6 more ish in the next hour. Overall not a bad day. 17-18 bass to 6 1/2 pounds and 2 catish on a rip bait and a rattletrap. Crazy!
City: roseville, caTips: Another learning day on the delta. We are begiining to see a trend during the bright moon phase. We usually have a good bite irst thing and then struggle until the early aternoon. This has happened the last 7 or 8 times we have had the bright moon. Also, the rog bite always seems to be better when there are dragon or damsel lies lying over the mat. The lying things seem to drive the bass nuts that are sitting in the holes.

Report: Fished a local club tournament (draw) last Saturday. Threw senkos early, caught 3 snakes right o the bat-all about 1.25 lbs. Partner caught a nice 3.5 ponder around 9. Very slow, tough ishing, dinks were hardly biting. Started throwing a brush hog into the weed beds, ew bites here and there. Around 2 oclock threw the hog to the outside o the weed bed (6-7 eet deep) and nailed a 6.40 bucketmouth. Turned are whole day around. Big ish and top weight (13.40-5 ish team limit). No rog bite or us, but a others said they caught a ew (black better than white).

Report: First time at the Delta or me with the purpose o ishing or largemouth. Wow! This place is crazy! So much area to ish, but where to start. Two questions or anyone out there- 1: Where are the best areas to ish i you are on oot. I know this is a tough one, but I was curious i anyone knew o any spots open to the shore angler. I ound a ew near Brentwood and Mildred Island. Are there any more in other areas? 2: Does anyone know i bass boats are rentable out here? I so, what Marina is it?Got two bass. Drove around alot trying to ind accessible water. I pitched and lipped jigs and got one or the day. So did my riend. I really need a boat, huh?

Report: Overall ishing was pretty good last week, except the ish are lighter - no bellies!! Tues aternoon about 6 pm, a client caught a nice 5-10 on a #194 Senko in the shadows o a tule line south o Buckingham. Trouble is, the ish looked like it should have been 7 lbs! We only caught 5 ish that trip but he got 4 o them, including a 5-2. That's what I like - clients doing well! He got the 5-2 about midnight on a junebug 10" Powerworm. Wed aternoon and night the Senkos were working beore dark and ater dark the black/chartreuse Magic Big Dipper worm (6") was working. My client caught 6 bass up to 5-1. Thursday morning I started with a client about 7 am, looking or remaining shaded tules, beore the sun got too high. I was throwing a 194 Senko, since that seems to be the "color o the week". We we were working an area behind Rattlesnake Island. I thought I saw a twitch, so I set the hook, just to be sure. Nothing happened or a second - then this big ish bolts out o the tules, jumps, and just plain carried on! It turned out to be an even 7 pounds - Wow! That is my irst big ish in quite a while - thankully, my clients have been catching all the big ish this past month. We wound up with 8 bass and a 5 lb catish on a jig. I caught a bass on a jig in the middle o the day. My client got his personal best on a #214 Senko - 4 lbs 1 oz. He said this was a great color, and so he hooks a bass on the irst cast - made a believer out o me! The three 5 ish limits or the trips averaged about 20 lbs. We targeted mostly tules and docks in the south end.
City: Yuba CityTips: It was bright, both day and night. In the clear water, I always try to ish every shadow I can ind. I am still learning areas that have shadows "until the last minute". When those run out, head or the docks. When the weed mats orm, they will hold bass too. There are lots o shadows at night in the summer, because the moon is at it's lowest point on the horizon, just as the sun is at it's highest. In the winter, it's the reverse. Sun low, moon high.

Water Temp: 71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished rom 0630 to 1030. Tried topwater - not even a tail slap. Tried spinner bait, crank, jerk. No go. Finally switched to senkos and got several taps on the all but only had one taker. A nice 2.5 LM caught in about 5 t o rip rap. Did not try any sot plastics like worm or lizzards. Probably would have had better luck with either. Lake level has dropped a couple o eet recently so I am sure they have pulled back o shore. Graphed a lot o ish in the 15-26 t range.
City: Foster CityTips: Fish deeper than I was with sot plastics. The moss and weeds are making the use o any bait diicult shallow.

Report: We launched at Jones Valley at about 7:30am and went up the Pit Arm. Started out with Spinners and caught a dink . Tried drop shotting and caught a ew more dinks. My cousin got a lot o dinks and 2 Bluegill dragging a 6" brown worm. I went to the Senko and could not keep the dinks o. Then at about 1:00pm I caught a nice 4 pound largemouth on the green senko.Out o the water at about 2:30pm.Watch or crazy jet skiers.
City: ReddingTips: Release all Largemouths to be caught again.

Report: lake at 33.28 t and dropping rapidly now, almost a oot per day, in a centimundi at 745pm with the oldest son, Russell who likes to bet breakast on the irst legal bass, he is 8 out o nine so ar, that is he has lost 8 out o nine bets so ar, hammered him most o the day and got him to up the bet to a steak dinner at Jack's downtown and he went or it, light wind out o the south, water lat, ran over to little backbone and get tapped on irst cast, second cast got a dink on and Russ is getting nervous but elt better when the little guy jumped o, then he loses a dink, move down the bank and get another dink on that is a 1/4 inch over the minimum 12 inches and dinner is on RUSSELL, we move down the bank or three hours getting blasted on almost every cast but they are hitting short, he inaly gets a hookup and boats a 2.5 lb plus, then it is dink ater dink, didn't bother to count, we were throwing twin tail skirted jigs, 3/8oz and 5/8 oz. things cooled o nicely rom a high o 94 to 76 when we got out at 1130pm, the bite went lat at 1115 just when the nearly ull moon came up, tons o carp up on top inishing o their spawn, we will probably be down 150-175 t this all with the lack o water and the draw down, Hey Russ, keep practicing and move up here, i won't have to go to the grocery store anymore, we can ish every day! Make mine medium with sauteed mushrooms!!!!!!!!!!
City: ReddingTips: surace stu good early, spooks, aurora black, jigs good all day and worms to 25-35 eet as the sun gets up high, went to salt and pepper the lat ew days, pumpkin pepper and watermelon green a close second, the MGM #72 in a 4 inch is becoming very productive

Report: Got on the lake around 8pm. No ish activity whatsoever dead! Caught rock bass? or some kind o crazy sunish slitshotting but that was it until 10pm . Caught 5lb bass on black Exude worm 10' deep on point. Moon came up around midnight and bite improved.Boated our more keepers and lost two others due to lame hooksets on black Exude 7 1/2" worms and black brush hogs between 10-2:30 am. Bite was going strong but I couldn't keep my eyes open so tied up boat and went to sleep. Awoke at 5:30 and got going again and caught 4 ish on buzzbaits beore sun was on water.I boated 9 keepers in all with the best ive around 17 lbs .What a zoo around the dam with all the trout anglers in tubes/boats. Does anyone know i the umes o powerbait attacks and kills the brain cells o unsuspecting anglers because some o these people are clueless/navigationally challenged.
City: PioneerTips: 10-15' seemed to be the depth or me at night . The weeds are everywhere so cast shallow and crawl the worm thru the weeds. The bites would come when you cleared the weeds and contacted rock. The ish would hit and and there was no doubt when you got bit. These ish don't look or act like post spawn bass . They were gorged with crawdads and everyone put up quite a battle. the buzz ish all dove into the weeds once hooked so heavy line is a must .

Water Temp: 74-75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Met some friends up at the lake, not really planning on doing any fishing. Things got boring, so I snuck out a rod, and threw out a popper at about 8:30 P.M. Landed 4 nice bass in 20 minutes from the shore. I tell you what I had everyone up there begging me to use one of my rods so they could get in on the action. I was more than happy to, as long as I had a rod in my hand. I don't know what it was, but I was the only one catching fish! LOL... Had fun, will head up again on Wednesday.
City: VacavilleTips: Get out really early for a topwater blast, or late in the evening just before dark. As soon as you see any fish breaking the surface, throw on a topwater. Throw a spook in windy water, but in glass water, throw a small popper, my favorite the mini Pop-R. Good luck!

Report: Thought I might throw in my two cents worth since nobody has posted in a while. Went up there around 9pm and that !@#$%^&*() wind was blowing like a mother. Went straight to the dam and started rippin babybass 78 pointer. Hooked up right away, but was really battling the wind. I knew I wasn't going to last very long there. Caught three more smallies and the last one was the best. Nice 3or4lber. The power o these ish is unreal. All ish were keepers. Went back to the marina area to try and get out o the wind. Threw a buzzbait or a while and hooked another smallie. This one smacked it on the move and missed. So I deadsticked it right away and boom, ish on. Changed over to junebug senko and caught a ew more ish. Then started slowrolling black and red blade with a black/red baby brush hog trailer and that was my ticket to the big one. 7or 8lber largemouth that went absolutely balistic. Fought like a son o a gun. Just this one ish made the trip worthwhile. As usual there was nobody around to show it to. I was looking or people to come out o the dark to show that I'm not making all this up. Anyway, got a couple more with the blade and went back to the senko. Throw it in the water and notice somebody is up on the bank moving around and or some reason I wasn't too comortable because I couldn't see who or what was going on. Remember the senko is still in the water and I've orgotten about it because I started thinking about Friday the 13th(the movie). Funny how the mind works. I'm watching his every move and then a big splash near the boat. I nearly !@@#$%$ my pants. The guy had thrown a top water bait right near the boat and I thought to mysel you!@@@#$$%%^%^^^$#. The guy was trying to give me a reakn heart attack. Wrong person to be toying around with i that was his intention. Anyway I get back to ishing and start reeling in the slack and you know that eeling you get when you think somethings up at the end o your line, well I was right. I set the hook on another balistic ish. A good 5or6lber. Take that Mr. bank isherman. Wind starts to die down a little at around midnight and I made another run or the you guessed it, the dam. It was like daylight out there. Threw a speed trap and caught a couple o smallies and then went to the senko again and set up on another big balistic smallie. The power is unreal and you're sitting there laughing to yoursel, i only somebody could see this. Wind started to blow good again and I didn't want to become part o the dam, so it was adios amigos. 1am now and time to get the heck out o dodge. I'll be honest, I started to get the 24 hour Taco Bell ever and knew exactly where to go or two sot tacos and a docter pepper. Har Har. Rohnert Park in case anybody is wondering. I this report is too long or you, I am sorry. But I think giving people the whole picture is what makes ishing so much un. The whole experience is what counts. Guess where I'm going tonight?
City: PetalumaTips: First and oremost is saety. Wear liejacket and make sure everything is operating propperly beore heading out. At night time all your moves in the boat need to be slow and deliberate. Always thinking. I it was me and I could get up in the back and ish Cherry or Yorty, I would go with the slowrolling the blade and the senko. And throw in the occasional topwater(spook and buzzbait). Just my 02cents worth. With the wind blowin I stay close to the launch.

Report: Fished rom 7:30 pm to 5:00 am. No topwater bite. Decent worm bite started about 11 pm and kept going till I let. I got about 7-8 ish with the biggest at 6.9 pounds and missed 1 or 2 bigger ish. Overall, the ishing was good ater 11 pm.
City: FolsomTips: Fish were inside and outside weed edges. Use worms with sharp head to mimimize how much grass they catch. Fish the weeds - it's a pain, but that was where most o the ish came rom (incl the 6.9). Use a no-stretch line so you can jerk your rod tip to clear the weeds o the bait during the retrieve.
