There was not much size to them but they were un. The other our people I went with, caught one ish between all o them. I wonder who they will listen to next time?
City: San JoseTips: Fish very shallow, look or the tullies to move, there looking or ood and are very aggressive. Soon we should be able to get the 30 ish days!!!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: For Je and other doubters, stop by the marina and check out the bragging board. I stuck a 11.6 on the above date. The marina was closed, it was 7:30 on a Friday night, but I used my digital scale. She was 28 1/4" and had spawned once at least. It is not Clear Lake or the Delta, but there are some real quality ish here. This was my Biggest so ar, but I am not dead yet! Tight lines.
City: San JoseTips: Blue Senko with black lake, 2/O XWG Gamakatsu, 14 lb. lorocarbon, slack line. Mine was on wood, shallow, next to deep water. I know, that could be anywhere on this lake, and that my riends is exactly the point!!

Water Temp: 53.5-55
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sat./Sun. in the narrows. Sat. got on the water at 11 am and caught about 6 fish to 1 1/2 lbs. on 4" Witches T majic worms (splitshotting) by 12:30 (just taking a relative non-fishing out for a spin in the new boat and trying out ultra-light tackle w/6 lb. test). Sun. out at 7:30 am, my son and I caught 15+ to 3 1lbs. mostly same tactics, same areas. Found a sandy cove with a tree in it and caught 5 in five casts (including 3+ lb. smallmouth, 2lb smallie and 3 spots all clone 1 1/2s). That was fun. The water was very cloudy in that cove from all the boat activity so that Witches T was just the ticket. This ultra light gear/line makes every fish a challenge.
City: VacavilleTips: Split shot small worms with as light a line as possible. Fish are really turning on as the water warms!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I fished Bailey cove for a little over an hour this morning and had decent action. All my action was on a spittin image with an eratic retrieve.I landed four up to 2lbs, and had a couple dinks shake off. Once the sun hit the water, the action died off. I tried slow rolling blades, and the usual plastics in deeper water briefly, but had no luck. I noticed a lot of trash already bulding up on the shoreline within Bailey cove...." NOT GOOD ".
City: San JOseTips: Pack it in......pack it out......

Report: Left the house at 12:15 (after Sunday School, swim team pictures, etc.) and headed for B&W. Loaded the Kids ages 8, 5, 5, 4, and 2 in the boat (Chapparal 2130)to the usual life vest protests. Ran up to Whimpys. Found a pretty consistant bite there. No real pattern though as grilled cheese seemed to do as well as corndogs and cheeseburgers. Almost lost our lunch gawking at a dead beaver floating at the dock. With that, we had to fish Beaver slough. Spent about 30 min of pandamonium there. did manage one small one on a black Senko, about 20 tnagles and one back of a shirt (no blood). Fished around Tower Park for about 30 sec. (meetered what looked like a good school of Stripers) will never know though as it was potty break time. Spent about 1/2 hr at the dock for that, then time to go home. Had a good time, but I thought some of you pro's should know what fishing is for some of us. Keep the great info comming
City: Walnut CreekTips: Anything weedless for the kids. Plenty of cookies and Capri sun juices (they are clear and won't stain the boat)

Clear Lake

Water Temp: 52-56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: As a result o not ishing Clear Lake in approx. 5 years, I spent the past 3 days working harder than usual trying to igure 'em out. We only caught 5 to 10 bass (3 to 5 lbs.) each day between the two o us. Fished rom Soda Bay to Rodman. I was planning to ish South on Sat., but strong winds and white caps sent me into the only area I could ish. We caught our ish pitching worms and shaking 'em down to approx. 8 t., dead-sticking senkos, and chunkin' spinnerbaits when the wind picked up. Had a tough time establishing a pattern, catching ish in the usual 2 t. to 8 t. Saw a lot o boats ishing the tules on the NW side o the lake, but we couldn't catch squat. Lost my Pointer 100 to a submerged rope.(Ouch!). Spent most o our time ishing secondary points and ishing the irst 1/4 o dead-end sloughs.
City: San JoseTips: Based on the recent 100% bass team tourn. weights on Mar. 17th, don't do what I did. I'm still scratchin' my head. Good luck!

Report: Somebody moved our cheese. Worms not working in south or north. Switched to rip baits and spinnerbaits and whacked 8- 3 were smallmouths. (all released, not whacked, including removing a lead sinker rom a split shot rig broken o in a spots' throat.)
City: El Dorado HillsTips: Mix up the reaction with worms. Avoid carpel tunnel injuries. My doctor said the cure or this injury is to quit ishing. My cure is ish with worms- they work or everybody else.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out with Newman Monday evening 3:00 to 6:45 to the usual haunts. I spanked them good with a darter head worm, ive ish in the irst thirty minutes. Newman was trying every color in the boat then started throwing his secret jig( custom made ) He started spanking them, all the ish between two and three lbs. We moved to another spot and the second cast by Newmanproduced a eight lb ten oz. monster. His very next cast was a three and a hal lb spot. We ended up with a 25 lb sackor our best seven. We ended up with twenty ish total. Not a bad eveningat all.
City: Granite BayTips: Get Newman to give his secret jig recipe out!

Report: Did pretty good today. We got 40 ish, some nice 2's, and a at 3. All the at ones were hens, mostly shallow. Just shaking worms, 4-6 inch green/brown. Light spinning gear seemed to be the ticket as usual. Did get one on a brown on brown jig, but nothing to brag about. The bite was great rom 8-12, then slowed a little to 3.
City: ParadiseTips: Look or potential spawning areas to ind the better numbers o better ish. Fish are stacked good in the right places.

Report: Launched out of Capell Cove at about 7:45. Quite a few boats in the parking lot already. Went all the way up to the north end of the lake by Putah Creek. Water was looking to be clear until we got there. Lots of fish on the points out in about 15-20 feet of water. Started throwing Spinnerbaits and Crankbaits and nothing. Then we found a big school of fish stacked on a point and had a couple of hit carolina rigging plastics. Had two of them up to the boat and then they popped off. Went down in front of our cabin at berryessa Pines and landed a nice two pounder on a carolina rigged plastic. A pretty slow day, only about 4 fish. Tight Lines!!!!!!!!!!!

Water Temp: 60+
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Finally took the boat to the lake for some creek action. Fish were there and ready to eat the brushog. Got 9 fish to 4 pounds. Mostly three pounders. Better fish were off shore. Saw many fish caught from the bank where I was fishing the week before. They looked to still be the pound and a half variety. Most bites came on the fall but some had to be worked. The smaller fish smacked the bait and the better fish just loaded up the rod. Fished from 2:30PM to close. The better fish came right away with the sun up high along the creek.
City: Mountain ViewTips: Sometimes having new colors in old baits can really make a difference in how well you will do on the better fish. The little fish will eat anything but those better fish need to see something new at times. Get on the Zoom web page and start buying those new colors, they really work!

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I shore fished the south-east side of the lake today, near the horse satbles and such, from 2 to 5PM today. I slow rolled a white blade for 2 hours hoping to pik up a large fish, but it didn't happen. After seeing a nearby boat land numerous 2 pounders on texas rigged plastics, I gave up on the blades and broke out the C-rig. First cast produced a two pounder on the windy side of a point. The calm side had no takers. About a half an hour later, I got two more 2 pounders on consecutive casts. The smaller fish seem to have moved up into the newly filled parts of the lake, but not the large ones. With this warmer weather in should be matter of a week or two before the fishing really gets good on that side of the lake. Walking back to my car, there must have been 5 or 6 shore fisherman fishing the creek area near the stables. I didn't ask them any questions, but I wondered if the fish had really moved back that far already.
City: San JoseTips: I used a c-rigged watermelon red Baby Brush Hog for my fish. The fish seem to be in groups along structure in the flats, just waitng for the water to rise and warm a little more.
