Report: Got to lake around 3:00. Fished in the Gloryhole recreation area. Went down the hill rom where I parked and started ishing. About 10 minnutes rom when I got to the water I started getting bites. Caught one a ew minnutes later. It was about 3lbs. Another ten minutes I caught one. It was about 20 yards rom where I caught the irst. He weighed 2 lbs. The ish were biting and got several more hits but couldn't get em. Around 4:45 caght another one he was a nice 2 lb 13 inch bass. Let ater that. All the bass I caght were emales and already had eggs. Good luck.
      City: Sonora

Tips: The bass are already moving into the shallows to spawn. I caught all 3 on brush hogs. So use Brush hogs in pumpkin or rootbeer and salt and pepper. I also caught them all on the bottom.

      Water Temp: Cool

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I was ishing with a blk/blue jig or a wyle with not even a strike. I decided to pick up my other stick that had a ins ish on a 1/4oz jig head. First cast I caught one right below the boat. Managed to get a total o ive ish but not much size, one about 2lbs. I will be back this weekend in the rain again. I like this lake better in the rain " Keeps the ools o"......I also managed to catch a couple nice trout to. Remember all you so called bass ishermen in your ancy bass boats CATCH AND RELEASE!!!!
      City: San Jose

Tips: Fish rom 15' to 20'.Slow shakin on the bottom with smaller than avarage lures.

      Water Temp: 53-57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a good day ishing as a non-boater member o Bay Area Hawg Hunters in our monthly tournament. Ater starting out with spinner bait and a jig and getting no hits I switched to a 4" S&P, twin tail grub which I drop shotted in 18-23'. Got good action immediately; hooked 8, landed 6. Most were about 13-14" and the largest was 16". All were taken on the aorementioned grub.Unlike others out that day, my action turned o when the rain started and I spent a slow, unproductive, soggy three hours throwing everything in the box. Still a good day.
      City: Walnut Creek

Tips: Due to the numerous submerged trees in this lake I drop shot a weedless hooked worm rather than the nose hooked one recommended or this technique and it doesn't seem to make a dierence in the take but gives you more in-the-water exposure and less time spent retying.

      Water Temp: 58-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This was the irst time I ished this lake in about a year.Boy, what a treat! I ished the short side or a couple o hours to no avail so I headed to the ar end o the other side near thumb camp. As soon as the rain started so did the bite. First ish was 4.5 on a white spinnerbait. second was 2 on a zipper worm. Third was 1.5 on a brush hog. The rest were all on a 6" pumpkinseed curl tail worm ranging between 1.5 and 4lbs. or a total o 8 in the boat and a ew missed hook sets in just over two hours. I must give proper credit or the curl tail to a very nice isherman and his wie who reported catching 30+ ish on just that one bait. All in all, THE best day I've had ishing in a long time.P.S. any one want to buy a house in clear lake!?!?!!
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: The pumpkinseed curl tail seemed to be the trick. look or shallow water near cover. I hope you have as much un as I did.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: American Bass Anglers Club Launched 6 boats rom the public ramp.My non boat and I headed or the dam irst o only to catch 11 inch ish. We decided to run up to yorty creek,we ished a point where we caught 5 small bucks, we ished the back o coves in that area I caught two ish just over thirteen inches, he had another but it shook o his crankbait right at the boat, another boat that said theyish the lake on a regular basis said the small bucks wereon the beds and that the ish in this lake spawn earlierthan most highland reservoirs, I backed o the shallows to deeper water and tried or bigger emales to no avail. Most o the ish we caught came on craw colored crankbaitsand rootbeer senkos with green lake.Four limits o ish were weighed in and they all looked like clones, just at the 1 1/2 pound size, two o the limits were caught on white and chartruese small spinnerbaits
      City: Martinez

Tips: The weather changed and a ront moved in sat. pushing alloto ish out o the shallows, when the weather improves andwarms up again use those polaroids and look or them on beds. The bigger emales might show up. Oh yeah I also caught a couple o ish jerking a clown rouge o points.Good LuckP.P.

      Water Temp: 51-56

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: in at Bailey Cove at 715 AM with John Coyle the MGM worm man, boy was I pumped, this gentleman is a local legend, water up to 25.30 t and 51 degrees at the ramp , rran over to one o john's spots south o bridge bay and i barley have the trolling motor down when he is hollering, already had one on a small smallmouth, back in he goes or another and my bait is just getting to the bottom, in ten minutes he has three and I have egg on my ace, get a little tap and set on a 2.4 on my MGM #109 at weenie, now I am eeling better, we run down the bank and he picks up three more all about 1.4 to 1.6. We pull out and head or another o his spots over in Big Back bone and I see the temp starting to climb, we roll up he makes two casts and bangs another about 1.9. I dont get anything here so we move over to another o my spots and the un began, we both cast and are immediately bit, both carbon copy 2.0's. We move just a little arther and I tag a 2.9,then a 2.8 and john hits three more around two. Start moving again and I pitch a chartreuse spinner bait with chartreuse blades(willow lea) that John made and get a tremendous hit in 8t and up comes a very bright 3.1. Now he wants his spinner bait back! We keep at it or some more and then john hands me a #89 raspberry red 4 inch hooktail and I make one toss and snatch a solid 3.2 lber, boy am I eeling good. My best ive so ar go 14.4, out best 7 are at 17.9lbs. We meet up with my riend John McNemar who is pounding them pretty good also on MGM worms. I switch to my rainbow #99 and catch a ew more, all approaching 2.0. I take a ew photos and begin studying John's method o spplit shotting. He makes his own lead and it is quite interesting, gonna have to get some o them. He has quite a touch, we head home with the temp up to 56. Notice I didn't say exactly where we went, it John's spot so i will leave that out or a bit. Lots o olks out trout trolling, I had one on mysel or a bit until he jumped o at the boat, The salmon bite at the dam is on, ish are 25 t at daybreak and sink to 80 eet by 10 am, most are using cut anchovy.
      City: Redding

Tips: blades and cranks are going to be hot in a ew days, it is STARTING ound ish in 8 to 35 eet.

Went up Angels arm and hit some potential spawn and staging areas with only some very light bites. Took o or Mormon Cr. with same lures plus a char. spinnerbait. light bites but no ish. Water got very calm but absolutely no action on top. Fish south side o the dam area and picked up 2 ish on green weenies w /red leck. Headed to 49er bridge but it was too crowded and ended upstream past Parrots Ferry. Picked up 3 more on green worms. Every time we caught a ish we would ish ddeper,(just in case) but picked up nothing.
