Report: A friend and I got to Calero around 7pm and hiked around to Miners Cove. We fished spinnerbaits, plastics, and crankbaits. Each of us got a hit on a plastic worm, but that was about it. Water was really warm and there were no boaters out there, so it was nice and quiet. Saw a couple of other guys catch a couple on plastics.
      City: Saratoga

Tips: One guy caught a decent one on a black worm with an orange curly tail. My friend and I were using june bug colors, so maybe that's the difference.

Report: Went out with Yamamoto Pro Staffer Dean Sault(NaCl) To get a lesson in Senko fishing, & search some new waters. I got one 5+ first thing on a rico, the we went 3 hours without a bite.......when we finally went to the SENKO, we had a pretty good day. Dean got a 5+ & we caught several between 1 1/4- 2 1/2 #. Best five close to 17# I'm not a fan of Senko's, But This Dawg is always willing to learn!! Thanks Dean
      City: Modesto

Tips: Most of our fish were on low out-going to beginning incoming tide on the weed lines. DON'T Texpose your Senkos!!! ....... instead, just catch enough plastic on the side of the bait, to keep your hook weedless....you'll be amazed at the difference!

      Water Temp: 73.4

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Holland and tide was highest I've ever seen it. Most of the morning was slack high tide. Tried spinner baits early, no luck. Switched to brush hogs, watermelon with red fleck. Action was slow until tide started to turn. Caught fourteen 12-14"ers, from 9am to 11am. All fish were on tule points with lots of water movement. Fish were holding on the slack water side. Once I figured out this pattern, fishing was fun, but nothing to take pictures of. Worked frogs, no luck. Buzz baits, no luck. Crank baits, no luck. By eleven, to many cruise boats and jet skiers! Unbelieveable how little respect they give other people. Their only sense of manhood must be how big of a wake they can put on a fisherman. My sypmathy for their feeble minds stupid minds. I have the sense to slow down when they have their damn red flag up...but do you think they would use the other side of the slough? No they have to come within 25 feet so the skier can make sure you can see what a hot shot he is. I hope you skiers read this and realize your only making a bad name for yourselves and you wonder why fisherman hate you! Show some respect and treat others like you expect to be treated!!!!

Report: Found a ew ish early on jerkbaits ( Pointer Minnows) then as the sun hit the water we started split-shottin Magic Worms and Keeper Reapers. We had decent success and got o the water early. The plastic worked better than the Jerkbaits, seen some guys throwing poppers but they weren't getting bit. Good Luck Je J.

Tips: Beat the sun to the water and beat the skiers to the ramp to leave

      Water Temp: 78-82

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Always Bump into a partern on this lake but only had 6 hrs to igure this lake out so I.... Started the the normal lure, TOP WATER with a popper. Did I mention I was getting on the lake at 1:30PM, normaly a bad time or this lake unless its wide open but it wasn't. Many guys getting o the lake, probably going to Amador, and all saying it was tought. Wasn't to excited about that but here I am. So topwater wasn't going. I switched to the arm section on the deep walls looking or the "Big Boulders". Tried a swim bait and in about ive minutes ound a trio o boulders and tossed it past them swam it by and wamo a 4.5#er. Cool that took all o an hour to get one bite.I wanted to get BIT so I went into one o the creeks looking or some ish to play with. They were all small but they wanted a jig over everything(including senkos, I'm a senko believer). I desided to go to a northern sec o the lake. Good choice. Found them everywhere but know takers even with the watermellon dipped senkos. Jig on 8# line was all I could catch them on with any kind o regularity. Managed another 5 better sized ish( all Lg.mouth). Missed a nice smallmouth as it threw my jig a mile.
      City: Mountain View

Tips: This lake is receiving plenty o attention rom the locals or good reason. The bite should be great during the weekdays. Sunday was an expected tough bite but with patience and covering as much water as possible you can ind the giants in this lake. Made the mistake o not throwing a spoon. Oh well. cv

Report: Well today I fished whiskey slough woth not much luck. I've been in a slump for a while and have not been gettin' bit on any of my regular baits so I tied on a senko. I caught one fish with the senko( motor oil/w black flake) at about 6:30am after that nothing. I wished I would have bought a bunch more in a few other colors. Tried buzzbaits and a frog with nothing. Time to buy somemore senko's!!! good luck

Report: Went out of the Break @ 7:00am. Surprised not to see the parking lot full. Went to Little Break and caught two small ones on a white and blue spinnerbait. Went in front of the break(no not the meat wall)and caught 7 on a Senko tight to the tules. 3-4 lbs. Proceeded to Little Franks and caught 8 on the Senko and a pink floating worm. Largest 5.2. Finished the day fishing various areas as we headed back to the Break. Nothing to speak of. Best 7 fish would have weighed approx. 20-21lbs.
      City: Pittsburg

Tips: Senko color was Watermelon. Let it float to the bottom and usually first nod of the rod the fish were off and running

      Water Temp: 70-73

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of the Hook and fished Big Break, Little Break, and Sherman Lake. Fish were biting pretty good, had 8 fish from about a pound to 3.5 pounds. Fish were shallow in or near weed beds in 1-5 feet of water. Most came on buzz baits had one flipping a June bug Gator Dog. Fish were not blowing up on the buzz bait, just sucking it down. Had one blowup on a frog, but didn't hook up.
      City: Brentwood

Tips: Buzz baits were the bait of the day for me. Both black and white were working well. Also tried quite a bit of flipping, frogs, and a little crankin.
