      Water Temp: 78-80 deg

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Couldn't run n gun so due to spun prop so just went ishing. Best ishing was on sloping main lake points and road beds with the wind blowing in the point or bank. All ish caught were 20' or less and you could get 6- 10 ish on a point beore they shut down. Fished Yammie 1/4 oz spider jig #208 (watermelon seed / red) and shad colored 4' worms on darthead. Between the two o us we put 50 ish in the boat and 10 over the slot. The ish are bunched up so when you get one keep working the point and you'll ind some more. Never did a topwater bite but then again we were messing with a prop or a while. Caught quite a ew blacks up shallow on the grass edges with the water so high. Jig bite will be subtle so be awake.

      Water Temp: 71-73

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Holland. Caught fish early with buzzbaits and poppers in the Middle River area. At 8:00 am started throwing the senko on inside weed lines (rock banks). I hate fishing the senko, but the fish will not leave it alone. Also fished weed beds with spinnerbait and speed trap. Lots of fish (none over 3lbs) and no wind. Found large schools of SMALL (6-12")stripers on the south side of Franks Tract. A striper would hit or at least follow on just about every cast. I know this is not exciting for the striper guys - but if you have small children this is a golden opportunity to get the kids hooked on fishing. Had to leave at noon.
      City: Woodside

Tips: Senko on inside weedlines. Pull it over the weedline and let it drop in the holes. Wacky style works well if you can avoid hanging up.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Largemouth are now in a pre-spawn mode. Second spwning should take palce by the end of July. Lots of nice big largemouth being caught. Every angler I know or have met are releasing any big fish caught. Friends that dive the lake are rporting big largemouth to about 18 pounds or possibly larger. Lots of big shad and big schools of the thredfin shad too. Easy fishing for most bass fishermen. If you are fishing the place properly and you have a big bass boat you should be burning about two gallons of gassoline per day. Worming with the Honduran system produces lots of nice big bass right up to the high noon hours. Saludos, Wes
      City: Healdsburg

Tips: Worm slowly. Keep the boat on the bank to avoid spooking fish with boat shadow. Mask the scent of your boat well. Use dark green to light green 8 to 14 inch worms ealy in the morning and slowly change to smaller ones as the sun comes out.

Report: Well, someone has to say the ishing turned a little tough yesterday. Conditions were terrible - lake dropping 1.3 eet p/day, air temp 101, no wind, and clear water. Thank goodness or water skiers, providing a little mud line. Beore sunrise, one would expect a ew ish eeding on the surace. Nothing - it looked like the dead sea. No topwater bite morning or evening. Client and I did boat 19 spots, 9 o them tournament keepers. At high noon, client did land a 2-3 spot. I was very happy he caught a nice one because this was his irst experience catching spotted bass. What a kick on a 782 G. Loomis rod!! We ound a creek channel with a little water color in the middle ork. Though we tried a variety o baits and colors, Magic worms in morning dawn and blue ghost produced all our ish. In spite o the rapidly alling water level, most ish were 10 to 20 eet. Saw some schools o bait on the meter at 30 eet, but we didn't ish them. Talked to one other boat and they didn't catch a single ish. Maybe I was just there the wrong day - like that never happened beore!!!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Most o the willows are now out o the water, so inding the quality ish will become a little tougher. Points didn't seem to hold as many ish as walls did. I they keep dropping the lake like the past 4 days, look or steep stu and oshore structure.

      Water Temp: 68 - 74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched from B & W at about 0800. Took 2 in the 4# range and 1 3# in Taylor slough using 6" senko's. Started throwing the white rat and grass frogs on grass mats between 1100 until about 1430. I had many blow ups, but the fished seemed to have a hard time finding the bait. I added a rattle to my frog off a jig and that helped. I took one 5+# and an 8#. This was my best weed bed fish. I also lost two others, but they were not as big as my biggest that day.
      City: Suisun

Tips: Fish the grass mats during the heat of the day and try adding a rattle to your snag prood frog.
