Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I havent ished Millerton in a while, but saturday was a pretty good day. Back in SQUAW Cove, the ished moved down to seceday humps, about 15-30 t caught alot o ish o o secedary structures. Then right there at the ramp, Lake is plum ull. Right there in the green trees, caught alot o ish there. Caught a 4+ black right there. I was using a jig head throwing 6' pro worms, mostly dark colors. Fishing was really good in the morning, but slowed down in the aternoon, I would say though you're best bet would get a evening bit, like go out about 3:00.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Most o you're ish now will be moving down to secedary humps and structures, I would go with jig heads using 6' dark worms, like pro gold or mabey even 266, like a shad color.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The topwater bite is inally happening! We have been getting 2 to 3 ish in the evenings on original size Spooks and bone-colored Storm Chug-Bugs - always a avorite o mine. I like - I mean the bass like - the orange bottom. A ather-son team caught a 3-4 and a 4-1 Fri. evening on the Bugs - they were excited! Look or developing weed beds anywhere in the south end. The isolated ones hold the biggest bass as the mats develop. I a lone patch or mat orms on a dropo - BINGO!! Had 3 clients during the week throwing 5" Senkos in the aternoon south o Buckingham. The our o us used 5 dierent colors - all o us caught bass to 4-2 on every color. Tule edges and the end pilings o docks had ish. Truly an amazing bait!!!Night ishing hasn't really taken o yet - only averaging 6 to 7 ish. The jig bite is pretty good, day and night. I caught a 6-10 and a 4-8 on back to back casts Fri night. The son hooked two, but lost them. I am using my usual black/chartreuse Rattlin' Weapon Jig with 6" #159 Yamamoto single tail grub. Even the catish are hitting jigs - another one o those years. I caught a 12-6 and a 6-8, and a client caught a 7-4. They are un!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Lots o pressure bites still on worms and jigs. I didn't eel the 6-10 - even with Fireline. Just saw my line move. Next cast, the 4-8 jerks my arm o. Be prepared! Check out insideline.net or all the Senko ino and tips you need. It's on the let column. Good Luck!!

      Water Temp: around 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Tough bite today! There's too many o those darn jet ski's and water ski's buzzing around. Mostly in the main body. The only ish I caught was back up in the arms where the ish can't get spooked too much. Another big problem is people keeping bass. This lake get's a lot o ishing presure. The reason why you rarely here o people catching lunkers out o this lake is because the bass don't get a chance to get very big. The only ew bass that I did catch today were 10"-14". All on deeper diving cranks.
      City: Rohnert Park

Tips: I people released bass more in this lake, and gave them a chance to get big, this could turn into a good lunker bass lake. Because there are a lot o ish in this lake, but they just need a chance to grow!!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I ished Laayette Reservoir rom 6:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. I caught an undersized Largemouth Bass on a popper and a 13" 1lb 1oz Largemouth Bass on a plastic worm. I also caught two Rainbow Trout on the plastic worm (I thought that was kind o odd!?!) I caught a ew more undersize bass and a bluegill. For one reason or another, the small 6" bass seem to be very aggressive (all over the lake), much more than in years past. A good sign perhaps?
      City: Clayton

Tips: However and whatever you ish, have patience.

Report: Started around rattlesnake Island at about 6pm. Hot temp but only one bite on a senko. Went lipping in extreme south trees and had a double hook up w/ a 3.5 lb or Kris and a 4.2 or me. Brushogs on 3/16 oz wt worked. Caught 3 more in trees beore dark up to 3/5 lbs. Had one get me wrapped and I could see it below the boat. Another 3.5 or so. Was getting dark and we wanted to get north to Konocti beore dark. Broke it o but believe I could have hooked line w/another line/hook i I had a ew more minutes. Dumped 2 others in these trees also that spit hook when they jumped. Just beore absolute pitch dark, I picked up my athers day present a 7' enwick and made several casts into deep rocks. Tap tap tap, set, caught a 6.2 on a brushog on my new rod. Resumed ishing @ 10:30 pm and caught a 4.8 in a marina. Kris busts a 3.5 right around the corner. Find some other deep rocks and catch a 3.8. Kris yanks a 3.5 on a carolina brushog. Got tough when the moon came out. Next ish came at about 1:30 am 3.7 lbs. Dumped another in 20 eet o water next to a deep dock piling. Didnt have good tension or hookset. Fished till 3 am..........not another bite. Figured best 5 went 22.9 lbs. Very enjoyable tues night!

Water Temp: low to mid 70's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out about 5:00 pm with bro in law and started tube ishing at the irst large point that extends out rom Winchell Cove. No bites on the tube until the sailboat docks where one SMALL spotted bass was landed. Switched to worm (tex rig) and ished around the docks and back into the launching ramp (still in Winchell) with no takers. Did, however, see a lot o surace busting with big splashes and igured out that it was striper hanging out in the marina area. By the time I tied on a larger plug, the top action was over and they were nowhere to be ound. Guy parked in his slip said that this happens every night at the same location and minnows or sardines are usually the only baits that work.Anyway, worked around through the cove and inally ound ish in some submerged trees. Boated some nice 1 1/2 to 2 lb spots rom these trees. Most ish came rom worm rig, bro in law had a couple on spinner bait.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Keeper 1049R worm, 6", texas rigged. Very slow presentation, dead sticking a lot o the time. Fish were coming rom submerged trees in about 15' o water. The spinner bait that worked was a small (I think Horizon) in white and chartruece with a chartruece trailer. Slow rolled in about ive to seven oot o water paid o on this. One hint about time: the closer to dark the better at this lake. This is my third summer o aternoon ishing at this lake and have never really had good luck until the point where I am getting pack it up to get o o the lake in time. Night ishing here would be awesome!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Skipper Cliff and I launched out of Holland. I caught my first keeper on a triple wing buzzbait. Later I landed a larger one on a split shotted strawberry blue flake ringworm. Skipper caught a few small ones on a junebug weinie. I missed a strike on the buzzbait, and a nice one spit out my white tandem spinnerbait. We came upon a spot where there was a swift outflow and white birds were circling. Casting a blue/chrome rattletrap I was soon into schoolie stripers. Skipper imitated my lure with the same color in a slim minnow plug and we had double hookups. He also caught the largest bass ever, a 6.2 largemouth who was also hanging around the current. In the span of about two hours we caught and released about 45 stripers. All the predators were taking advantage of the largemouth bass babies that were being swept over a low rockdam by the outgoing tide. There were two anchored fishermen with a stinger of catfish nearby.
      City: Alameda

Tips: Look for fish near current when water is warm. They'll be looking into the current to dart out and snatch food, in this case, fingerling largemouths. If you're lucky enough to happen upon a school of feeding stripers, try chrome or shad pattern lipless crankbaits. Use soft tipped rods to absorb the hard strikes and runs, and check your line often for nicks and fraying.

Report: I went out of the Break today, and hate to tell you Dewayne and Ryan, But I had a great day. I ran all the way to Potato Slough and caught six fish to 4lbs on Splash's ITS and Spitin image in the first hour, then I managed a couple dinks on 8in worm waiting for the tide to go down and the sun to come up. I fished Sycamore, Beaver and Hog until 2:00 pm and managed 12 fish on frogs, I probably had that many miss'em too. My 5 biggest probably went close to 17lbs. Better luck next time.

Report: I haven't ished eastman in about a year but just got a new boat so i'm back in action.
      City: resno

Tips: I have a ew tips or you i've used these tactics in all weather conditions and time o year..i you can stand minnow ishing, ish the big cove at the island and by the ranger station.when the wind is calm use light tackle,no weight(unless the minnows keep coming to the surace when you cast it,i so a small split shot)pitch the minnow tight to the brush and trees and leave your line limp and just wait or the line to twitch on the surace o the water.i you don't like using live bait, sotjerk baits in the same places.everyone seems to like the "lukes" but i've always had my best luck with MANN'S Bait co. "Shadow" i started using them beore they were put on the market and have not been let down.also the big tree in the north west corner o the lake is a good place to pitch minnows.i you can get behind the tree do it, but be very quit.right where the creek eeds in i have got two lunker up there 8 & 11 pounds.and have seen several spook out.cast onto shore and drag it in.............when the wind picks up at midday it usually blows rom the south.on the north end o the lake rom the bouys to the islands there are a ew long underwater rocky points a couple have brush down there too.ollow the point out about 200 yards rom shore.then i use a 6" augertail worm with a small bullet weight about 6-7 inches up the line, cast it out and let wind do the rest.i have picked up ALOT o ish there in the middle o the day but nothing larger then 16" ........i you want big ish and have the patence then drop anchor on the rockey point that curves to the east north o the islands and use live waterdogs or crawish.well good ishing to you.remeber save some ish or our kids."catch and release"

Took my father in law out for his first day of bass fishing, He did catch one about 13 inches while dead sticking a buzzbait. Report: Fished a very small team tournament today with my ather, a nice sentiment seeing as it was athers day. The tournament was put on by O'Shea productions and a good time was had by all. Thanks Shaun or putting on a good tourney! Me and dad were lucky enough to win this one, with a ive ish limit o 18.10 lbs.. This was the best stringer I've ever taken out o Folsom. We caught all o our ish in the North ork suspended in trees. We were shaking BLUTO worms in a all craw pattern, with most o the ish taking it on the sink, shaking the worm as it ell. Landed seven ish over 2 1/2 lbs. with the largest being 4.55 and the primary bite between 6:30 and 7:30 A.M. Hope this helps somebody!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Try shaking worms slowly and thoroughly in the trees or the bigger ish. Most o the bites seem to be on the all rom 3t. to 8t. o water. Had no luck with topwater.
