Report: got a really late start, didn't get there until 4:00. We started off throwing reaction baits, cranks and blades. No takers. Then the last 25 minutes of fishing we switched to jigs and zipper worms and flipped 3 fish and missed 2 others. All about 2 pounds.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Partner and I got into the water about 1130 am. Used frozen bait, anchovies and sardines, on a bottom wieght. Got early afternoon hits, as larger bass were beginning to feed. Love fishing the tules in slow moving areas. Couldn't ask for better weather. Many bites, hauled in 2 stripers (24'' and 19 '') as well as one steel-head. Catfish very active, but very small. Slow dip in late afternoon before a very active twilight. Bigger bass running rampant NOW.
City: Antioch/Rio Vista- Sherman IslandTips: Should wait for the water to clear up a bit before using spinnerbaits. Go with the stinky anchovies, they come out of the wordworks.

Water Temp: 54-58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I ished rom 7am till 2pm. Caught 15-20 ish. Most came on brown jigs. The deeper staging ish I caught on the drop shot. This was the irst time I have had success doing the drop shot. It was un hitting these deeper ish on the head. Watch your electronics and keep your drop shot ready. Each time I would see a ish on the graph, I would drop down and watch my bait all. Most bites came very quick. My advice would be to move the bait as little as possible. No reaction ish or me. I had 3 ish hit a luke, but missed it. The ishing seemed to have slowed or some reason. It only took around 11lbs to win the BASS Fed. tournament on Sunday.
City: FresnoTips: Keep trying the reaction baits and jigs. Leave the split shot rod at home.

In early aternoon we started working the shallow coves with small dead stick ups. Water temps warmed up to the 54-56 degree range. Pitched green weenies, 6", on T-rigs in between the stick ups and slowly, very slowly, dragged them through to catch about 9 keepers over the slot in about 40 mins. til we had to leave or weigh in. All these ish came in 4 to 7 eet o water. Biggest o these weighed 2.71#. Culled all the early morning ish to get a 12.71# limit.
City: ReddingTips: Work the worms very slowly and maintain bottom contact. All bites were just there with no tell tale tap, tap. In doubt, set the hook.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: It's been two months since my last trip to the Rio Vista, Ca. to fish for sturgen and striper. My goal was to catch a sturgen but instead I, along with my partner, we caught a total of 6 stripers. 2 of them has to weight at least 10-15 lbs. WE had to release 2 stripers back. We fished on the south side of the bridge on HWY160. Grass shrimp and pile worm was the bait. "Striper is picking up people!"
City: StocktonTips: Change your bait every 25-30 min. Make sure that the baits are fresh. Don't be afraid to run out of baits. Tere's always more out there. Good luck!!!!!
