Report: me my wie and my brother put in at the tuttle town ramp. we arived at approx. 12:30pm. We started out ishing the main body o water hitting the points in deep water, throughing jigs, salt and pepper grubs and crank baits. these areas produced nothing. we decided to roll into morman creek. we hit the bank on the right that has an obvious structure change. the structure went rom allen brush to a big rock wall. my brother tossed in a brown jig with a yamamoto 180 blugill super grub trailer, he landed a nice 2lb bass. that day he managed to hit 3 o these ish all about two lbs. as or my wie and i we never got touched.
      City: Modesto

Tips: ish in about 15-20 t o water. dont be araid to try the creek chanelsthe weather was severly over cast and chilly but not real cold.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: The Rip bite is on, especially in the morning. I used aBlack/blue/silver rip bait to catch 3 good ish to 17" beore 7. My partnerFrank Souza and I tossed brown jigs and worms the rest o the day and caughtanother 7-8 ish. Fish seem to be oriented to points in most parts o the lake. Hit enough points and you will ind them.
      City: Marysville

Tips: Rip baits, brown jigs and worms on points.

      Water Temp: 48

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Oroville Sunday in very overcast weather. Caught rip(silver/black Rogue), spinnerbait (white/white) and crankbait (crawdad colorRattlin Rap) ish or the irst hour on shallow, lat points. Then, switched toplastics and jigs or the rest o the day although I continued to throw reactionbaits occasionally but got no takers. All worm ish came in 15-18 eet on sideso long lat points. Threw Caliornia Custom Worm 6 inch in Summer Moss Brown.Caught 13 or 14 ish - many just over the slot. Weighed 13lbs 9 oz at the endo the day anchored by the irst ish o the day a 2# 11oz smallie.
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: 1. Fish are in prespawn staging mode. Find one, you're one a bunch. Lookor good spawning lats and then ind the nearest drop o leading to deepwater. They will be stacked up on that edge. Then, they move up and downduring the day based on light conditions and water temperature.2. For numbers o smaller ish, copy the local trend. Use baits that are knownlocally to produce. Right now that seems to be a 6" worm called a spot spankerand another worm that escapes me. But, or bigger ish, go against the curenttrend and throw jigs or brown/green worms. Fish shallow to deep until you indthem.3. Because o all the ish released at the spillway, the points adjacent to thatarea are producing huge numbers o typical tournament size ish.

Report: Fished the Mc Cloud, Squaw, and Pit arms. Had some success in each armusing sot plastics, and Rogues. Fished the steep shale clis and the Red Clayareas. Most o the ish we caught were in the 18-25t area. Quite a bit o preishing going on or the ABA event coming up. Caught and average o 10 per day(all Spotted) with the largest coming in at about 2lbs 4oz. Some guys "claimed"they caught over 50 in one day and to me that is really stretching it! Theconditions were tough and I mean tough. Cold, cloudy, and a threat o rain orthe whole time we ished! The Sun tried to come out in the aternoon and onlystayed or a short time.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: We used the Smithwick Rogues early in the morning then switched to sotplastics around 7am. Had the most success with a newcomer called "Daddy's Worms"in the 6" Purple Illusion Scorpion pattern the 4" Finesse model in a GreenWeenie with Red Sparkle pattern. Dragging and Shaking were the most errectivemethods o presentation. We ished slow, slow, slow!

Report: Weather was fair (perhaps in the 60's), high clouds all day with occasional wind gust ... getting stronger later in the PM. There were 31 people fished, 29 caught fish. There were 13 limits and it took ~11.5#'s to win. Seems like with the exception of a few, most struggled to get limits and near limits. To whit, the winner had exactly 6 bites and landed 5. But he had the right 5! He was fishing areas that were in 15' or less, but had deeper water right next to them. Caught them on spidergrubs and jigs. A few had crank fish early. These crank fish was caught cranking shallow divers VERY SLOWLY in the AM up in the back of Putah Creek. The best bite seems to be in the Narrows fishing the major points and cuts. One boat who had 2nd & 3rd places were catching fish with spider gubs and the other split shot a Chartruese weenie worm behind him. Another top 5 finisher caught his fish in the narrows fishing a cinamen pepper grub. There were a couple of other limits that came from Putah creek. Both these folks were in the same boat and one cranked up a limit of fish, their fish were smaller and there were smallmouth mixed in, while the folks fishing the narrows had mostly largemouth. Another fisherman reported fishing a jig all day and caught over 20 fish. He exclaimed that it didn't matter what jig, he used Blk/blk, brn/blk, 3/8oz, 1/2oz, etc. Fished mostly on the east side of the lake. Mostly "spawning areas".
      City: San Jose

Tips: Tips: look for the bigger fish to start moving up to spawn on the next moon phase. Soon as we get a couple of warm days, these fish will just go nuts! Otherwise, fish SLOW!!

Report: Went out on the 13th. Fishing was good again. The weather was very foggy in the morning and people were getting lost. We heard several boats asking themselves were they were and how to get to their hot spots. It's a good thing my partner knows the delta like the back of his hand so we didn't have to waste time wandering lost in the fog. My partner and I caught 14 fish with a few 3 lbs-ers. We fished the west delta and caught most of our fish using a crankbait bait, but the the few that came on the jig & pig were of better quality.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Pretty incredible day (or ME, at least!) at Stevens Creek. Most ishI've ever caught out there in one day -- one 5.1, one 4.9, one 3.4, & 8 or 10more between 1.5-to-2.3 lbs. (per my Berkley scale)! All were caught on a5/16-oz. pig-&-jig, black #11 pork, on a black jig with a ew chartreusestrands. Fishing rom my 8-t. Outcast kickboat, I caught 'em tight into heavycover, some o bare banks, & some under loating debris. The big ones werecaught in the back end o the lake, but even ater moving out about halway tothe picnic grounds, I was able to yank out a ew 2 lb'ers o both sides o thesparsely-covered banks. Nothin' but the jig seemed to work, so I pretty muchstayed with it all along. Met up with Nicolo, who, ater ollowing me back tothe back end, hauled out a 5'er o his own! Anyways, they're out there, but Iknow this can be a tough lake to ish. Wanted to let you know, though, thatthey CAN be caught, i you time it right with the water l!evel, weather, wind conditions, etc. (Water's up into the trees in the back, bythe way). Tight Lines!
