Water Temp: 55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I had a tube in the water by 4:15, Water was cold. Started with my traditional 7"worm on one rod and a brush hog on another. Within 15 minutes I had my first bass of '99, a 2 lber. by 6:15 landed 6 fish ranging from 1-3 lbs. Locations varied from 10-20' to 2-5'. Also hit a good onein about 5' 7'from shore, unfortunately I broke the cardianl rule and started messing with the drag which allowed the fish to shale the worm, I estimate the fish to be 5-7 lbs.
City: San JoseTips: Tips:The fish are scattered but are starting to concentrate at the spawning areas. The slow retrieve is sitll the best one. I would imagine that split shotting would do well.

They were all good size ish, but didn't catch many. All caught on Brush hogs, 20-30' o points. It's a good idea to graph the bottom and when you see a good area with some ish on it, ish it hard. I thnk it might be an early spring. We will wait and see. Good luck and good ishing.

Water Temp: 48-51

Report: Fished Club tourney Sat.Stayed on main Lake near Berryesa Marina and East side. Not much of a jig bite, switched early to Carolina rigged baby brush hog. Ended day with only three keepers, but 15-17 inches. My backseater also had three, including a 17"smallie.He was splitshotting a 4" weenie. The fish were caught in 10-18'. A 9 lb.was caught by a club from Santa Rosa, they seemed to be tight-lipped about how he got it. I did hear that one of the fellows got a rip bite goin, and ended up with six keepers. Anybody else fish last weekend?
City: San LeandroTips: Tips: Water still cold, fish are just starting to stage prior to moving up to the shallows. It won't be long now.

Berryessa Lake

Water Temp: 48-51
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Little Brother and I launched out of Pleasure today with no morning bites. South end and main lake pretty clear but from Putah resort on up the river VERY muddy! One fellow stuck a couple on a red crank. We finally found some feeding fish near the end of the day in shallow water. It seems all I ever need to bring is one rod with a brushy tied on! Poked a nice 2 pound class smallie off of a boulder-to-rubble transition. A 2 lb. large mouth and a pound-and-a-halfer came off of submerged trees.
City: Bay PointTips: Tips: Slow retrieve your cranks in bright craw colors. If you see any shad busting going on chances are you may find some aggresive fish. Find the warmest clear to stained water near flats and work the submerged trees or bushes with Texas rigged soft plastics. Irregular rock formations for smallies.

Report: Went out of the Break today at about 2:30. Man there was a lot of boats out there. The holiday traffic was thick. Went out to look for some Hoggs. Water was still a little cold for a prespawn pattern so I had no choice but to do what I do best go Flippin'!!! Looked for the shallow bite for about 1 hour than relized that with the overcast conditions the fish were a little deeper. Started hitting the outside tules. Not all were holding fish only very specific combos were. But when you find the spots you just put the troller on high and hold on. Landed 6 nice fish from 3-4.5 and lost some fish probably small.
City: AntiochTips: Tips: Dont give to much attention to one spot. You have to make the fish bite out of reaction so to many flips are a waste of time. Use a heavier weight than most to get those fish to jump all over you jig. The fish arent holding a pattern right now.....at least not one I can find so you have to work to find what the fish are doing from day to day. Good Luck!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Reports: I ished the WON Pro AM last weekend and pre ished on the 11th and 12th o Feb.The bite is tough but the ish can be caught by ishing EXTREMELY SLOW.The bass are holding on points in depths to 60 t.A lot o ish can be caught in the 25 to 45 t range.Use small plastics in shad colors or light jigs.Cover a lot o water and again ish slow.I the weather turns warm look or an aternoon blade bite to turn on.
City: WindsorTips: Small grubs and 4 inch worms in a shad color seemed to produce the most ish with a couple o blade ish mixed in.Dress warm and Fish SLOW!!!! The carolina rig seemed to work the best, but shakin worms will also produce.

Report: Trolled or trout using a mystic suspending lure and landed a 6 lb 15 oz rainbow in the South cove. Also hooked two trout in the East cove on worms and powerbait. All in all it was a slow day, but one big one is worth a couple small ones.
City: LaayetteTips: Mystic Suspending Minnow. Worms and Powerbait.

Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Recent rains have put the ish o the bite. No recent stocks lately and people have been hammering the lake. Best bets seem to be behind the bridge since reports o limits there are being heard o. Some sun and stocks should improve the ishing.
City: MontaraTips: Use green or rainbow power bait on a Lyons Leader. Cast one rod as ar out as possible and cast one about 20-30 eet out. They bite when you least expect them too so keep a note on your rod constantly.Be sure to buy your permit.

Report: Went out in the break today. In the water at about 3 pm. It was real high tide. The water wasnt as muddy as it has been. Had about 1 foot vis. I went towards the northern entrance to the break and started fliping shallow. At about 4:10 caught a HOGG. It was about 6.5-7. Got me shaking. Got him on a jig in about 2 ft of water. Flipped about 250 yds of bank without another bite. Grabbed my rod with a BIG blade on it and started slow rollin' shallow. Hooked about a 4 and got him in. He was in about 3 ft. of water. Its was a good day since I was targeting better quality fish.
City: AntiochTips: Tips: Dissect structure!

Report: Launched from Paradise Marina and went to whites slough, found some stained water and threw blades up on the tule islands and caught 3 fish to 2lbs. Then I went to a few of the local marinas and fished up on the rocks with jigs, seemed to have better fish there caught 4 to 3.5 and a 16lb stripper.
City: SacramentoTips: Tips: Fish the outside weed line with a black and blue jig with blue pork trailer, fish it very slow. Look for clearer water, delta now seems to be quite muddy.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out of in the north sac today......the water is soooooo muddy. Its is unbelivable how muddy it is. Went north because figured that it wouldnt be as muddy as down here..wrong! Well I only commited to about 1.25 hrs of fishing before I decided to get lost. It was a waste of time up there. Went to Sherman and stuck a few nice fish but the bite was slow.
City: AntiochTips: Tips: Find clearer water, it looks like creamed coffee out there.
