Report: Eleventh Annual New Years Day Tournament put on by the Delta BassMasters of Stockton had 72 boats entered and 1/3 of the field weighed in with 7 fish limits. The following teams placed in the money. Jim Soden & Rich Wyman, 1st place with 23 lbs 11 oz. Steve Sapp & John Varanai, 2nd place, 23 lbs 8 ozs. Report: Launched out o Barretts South Jan 1st at 8:00 am. Fished or 6hrs and caught two ish, one in the slot in cotton creek dartheading a salt-n-pepper 4" magic worm at around 40 t. The other ish, under the slot, was caught in the narrows shaking the same worm in 50t. Talked to other people out there and they said about the same thing, SLOOOOW.

Report: Fished or 3 hours rom 12:30 till 3:30 with only 1 bite on a jig at 33 eet. Foggy with hazy sun. A buddy arrived at 8am and casught 3 in the slot and 6 short ones on 4" worms at 40 eet. Lots o pre ishing olks on the water. Lake at 810 eet and appears stable.

Report: Cold, gray, windy, oggy. Great or ishing! As soon as it burned o at about 10:00am, our bite turned o. Beore then, I caught 3 bass (spots & large, 3lbs 10oz total weight) and two trout. All ish came o o submerged islands, or steep main lake points (30-50 t deep) with cover.Trout anglers seemed to be tearing it up that day....

Report: Cold day, colder breeze. All we got were about 5 dinks. No reaction bite. Fish were caught on dartheads and split-shottin 4" and 6" worms 25-35' on main body. Best colors were shad colors-morning dawn,etc. Could not buy a jig bite.

Report: Lake has been drawn down a lot. The ramp is out o water and you'll have to launch on the lake bottom. I looked down and saw enough metal and whatnot to decide not to launch at all.
City: SoquelTips: Great time to get out there with a camera and take some pictures o the bottom. The boat house is on lake bottom and there's quite a walk to the water rom there.

Report: Went out with Dean Babcock rom 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, ished north ork irst with one 2 pound spot at the narrows. Ran back to the main body in the aternoon and caught 7 nice spots o the rocks. We caught all o the ish on 6 inch worms rigged on a dart head, about 25 to 30 eet deep.

Report: Shasta is red hot!! Bass are runnibg rom 13" to 16". The ish are down rom 15' to to 25'. Use Red or Green plastic worms. Some spinnerbait in the A.M. beor the sun hits the water. Work your bait vary slow. The Trout are going wild. They are on the top down to 20 eet. Use anything that looks like a Shad. Suggest a Kastmaster, U.F.O. Lures in white or silver, small spoones.

Report: Disco-Bay on 26 Dec, we got 10 stripers spooning at 25 ft.before 11 am,then the bite shut off.Just look for bait.about noon we worked the rocky banks in one of the baysand 4 black bass 13-18 inches, Then went out to Woodword cnal and flipped only one, but it was a 4 pounder,I think it was a great day.

Report: Wentout of Orwood's and fished Disco Bay and points thereabout. Water was a frigid 42 degrees and we couldn't buy a bite. Fun day with good friends, but no fish.

Report: Reports: Spent all day on the lake without a bite. Did a little bit o ripping in the AM then primarly ished jigs the rest o the day. Also ished plastics a little. Never graphed a ish or bait during the day. Talked with a couple other guys, the best catch was two ish.

Report: Fished a ew hours in the aternoon in the East Cove. Started out slow but got better. Caught three trout on Power Bait, biggest around 16 inches. I got board towards dark and threw a Rattle Trap and surprisingly caught a bass just under two pounds. Will probably ish in the next ew days because they will be stocking some Lassens.

Report: I didn't ish or Largemouth Bass, it was too cold. My ather and I ished or Rainbow Trout rom 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on the second rail dock. I used Berkley Pro Select Power Bait Trout Bait in Chartreuse and Rainbow. I also used a nightcrawler/marshmallow combination and just nightcrawlers. Unortunately, I didn't catch anything. My ather, Richard, caught 16-1/2" Rainbow Trout on a nightcrawler. Two kids who were ishing on the same dock also managed a Rainbow Trout I guess to be about 16". They said they caught it on "Power Bait." Hopeully, I'll do better next time!

Report: Was out last week or about 3 days. Last week the temperatures were very kind in the 60's. Fished the north end lippin jigs in the tules and ended up with a 5 and an 8. Also got one crankin. Next day tried the Lucerne Nice dock areas with little success. Back to lippin tules produced only 2 ish that would have had to stretch to make 13". Next day went crankin in the Rattlesnake arm and ound 4 ish 3 between 4 and 5 lbs with 1 just at 3 lbs. These ish were cranked out o 2 eet o water.TipsDress warm!!!!!!!!

Report: Fished rom 10 to 3 in the aternoon. Wind was blowing hardand it was very cold. Between the our o us we missed twotrout and landed one. Bass ishing was very slow. Caughtone doodling a 4in Don Iovino worm with brass n glass.No one was catching anything so we had a pretty good day.

Report: Good day. Very cold, with og/overcast until ater noon. Caught ish airly regularly rom 7:00am to 3:30pm. 14 Bass ( large, spot and small ) with the best ive weighing 8lbs 4oz. Partner caught many ish too, including two nice rainbows.
