Water Temp: Cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Today the sky was real overcast and the winds where coming from two ways, the east and the north. It made for some real tough fishing. Slow rollin' 1/4 oz. shad/yellow scale blade with no. 5 nickel willow caught two nice keepers. these fish were two hours apart though so switched to a slower more deliberate method. A dart head 1/4oz. with a 4-inch junebug ringworm was the ticket. Through it to isolated weed beds and popped the hook out of the weeds when it got caught up. this is where i got the strikes, on the fall after the pop. This toned up the bite and took two more fish in a short hour. all fish came in 5-8 ft. of water. Fished from 9:30-2:30.
City: AntiochTips: Tips: Bundle up and stop wishin' and just go fishin'.

THen cruised over to a another avorite spot and bingo, ound em stacked out on the ends o the docks in about 18 oot. Good solid 4-5 pounders caught 8 ish on the 1/2 oz brown jig with blue pork. Water Temp: 48-49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My partner caught a 2 lb'er on Tuesday, 12/29; I ollowed suit the ollowing Saturday, Jan. 2nd. Both ish were caught lippin' a pig-n-jig into heavy brush in the ponds in the back o the park. It's basically pretty slow right now. The ranger told me they ound a 10-12 lb. bass loating near the tules back there recently. I've heard o 8 & 9 lb'ers coming out o there, primarily rom the back side o the levee. Just to help get the word out, they have established a new rule here, regarding loat tube ishing in the back ponds: they will now allow kickboats back there -- as long as you don't take your oars! I you have oars, I guess that makes you a 'boat,' as opposed to a 'loat tube,' where you only use ins & waders. Kayaks, canoes & aluminum boats are still prohibited, outside o the main lake. They came to this 'compromise' as a result o inconsistencies experienced in the enorcement o the park rules between dierent rangers. I'll take that compromise! Now bring on the SPAWN!

Water Temp: 47.5-48.3
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched in the og and headed out the North Fork. Marked a lot o ish in the 24 - 36 oot range holding o rocky points in the Narrows. Picked up a keeper using a Texas rigged 5" green weenie with red lake. The aternoon was spent in the main body area ishing humps. All ish seemed to relate to the South sides o the humps and were holding in 6 - 13 eet on structure. Splitshotting a 3" purple leach brought in two more. Strictly a pressure bite with absolutely no tick or tap, just pressure. Once I detected pressure that move with the rod, I would eed line to the ish. Sometimes they would drop the bait, but i I didn't give them extra line and attempted to set the hook at irst detection, I would only bring in a 2" leach.
City: Granite BayTips: Key to catching: Slow presentation and giving them line. Hope you have a successul trip next time out.
