      Water Temp: 49.3-50.2

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Paradise at 0645 with my son, pretty foggy so no long fast runs slow and close to the bank. First spot son caught a 1.5 pounder on a crawdad colored wiggle wart in about 5-7 feet of water. Moved into white slough and proceeded to look at a point that looked good and on the shady side of the bank, long pithced a 4 inch withces T Zipper worm and bang after one shake fish hit about 1 3/4 pounds not quite 2 according to my official weighmaster. Next cast zipper hit the water bang fish number two from same spot, I told my son ok I have them now oh yeah, fish burried in deep grass and had to go in and get him well you know the rest fish scattered and no more bites from my honey hole. Son hooked up with a nice 3.3 lb in same area 20 feet away in deeper water on red rattle trap. His comment see I told you bigger fish in deeper water oh well at least he is learning. Lost 2 more fish in whites area and moved to area towards Ladd's lost 3 more fish just would not stay buttoned today.
      City: Rocklin

Tips: Fish rattle traps and shallow cranks in crawdad. Zipper worm in withces T is good also fish are looking out the grass window so slow and shake it in their face. Best Tip would be to remove all factory hooks and use good quality eagle claw Kahle or Excalibur these hooks are excellent on the traps and cranks. Good fishing it's still there.

Report: I went fishing in the cold rain at Discovery Bay. Fished at the marina and caught about 10 catfish. 2 were about 18 inches and the rest were about 13. I caught them on live, jumbo minnows on a sliding, 1 ounce rig. I went trolling, but didn't catch anything. I missed a big one because my real had a backlash and did not let line go out. I trolled a rebel with a spreader.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Went out in the rain today and had the best time fishing all year. Launched out Big Break around 8:00 and headed towards Sherman Isle., nothing. Then we headed to a little well known marina. Noticed fish busting shad and my partner caught 3 keepers right away cranking something shad color. Then he wondered if they would eat a ripbait. And eat a ripbait they did. After it was all said and done, we had caught around 50 or so (I lost count) which at least half of were keepers. We had a 4,two 2.5's, and a number of 2's. And all of these fish were caught in 1 1/2 hrs in less than 3 ft. of water. Whew, what a day!!!
      City: Brentwood

Tips: Tips:I don't know, I guess it was because of the warm front that came through and rose the water temp. 3 or 4 deg's.
