      Water Temp: 60's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished main body and South ork. Water temperature ios rising quickly with this nice weather. Caught one nice at smallie on a white/white 1/2 oz. blade. Switched to a Zara Super Spook and put 6 more in the boat. Nothing over 3 or under 2. Had another 20blow-ups on the bait. Going back on Tuesday. tips: Males are up shallow. Isolated willows seemed to hold most promise or a strike. Working close to shore on steep banks also brought response. Rocky, boulder type outcropping worked too.

Report: I launched out of Markley Cove and fished a few coves before the Narrows. Hooked about 15 the entire day, and landed 11. Lost 1 nice 4lber right off in the morning. Water was very clear, sky was clear, and the temp was hot. I saw more fish than I coul d count, but only a few would bite. The only bait I had success on was a 4inch unweighted orangegreen magic worm fished in any shade or shallow, brushy banks (especially sunken trees).

Also, caught a few on a 1/4 ounce white spinner bait. The rest were on a deep water crank bait. All fish were caught in about 12-15ft of water. the fish are not attacking the lure hard. Fish are still lazy an for best result use a spin cast rod (med. to light weight), light line (8-10pds) for best feel. Had no luck catching anything after 12pm. The sun was out but no action. Water Temp: 57-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the WCB team on Saturday April 11. Steve Sapp won this tournament wih an unbelievable bag of 38+ pounds. Barrack & Dobyns took 2nd with ove 33 pounds, Reynold & Stitch took 3rd with over 32 pounds and I believe maybe Dee Thomas had 28 pounds for 4t h. With the passing of the full moon it did bring out the big fish in the South Delta. Knowing these top four guys, It was a big time jig bite! The water tempeature in most of the Delta is still too low to trigger spawning. but in the South end, it does w rm up faster and by the weights appears that bite is on. Rick & I struggled with the Jig bite in the Central Delta. We than found one good bank that I cranked 7 fish to weigh 17.42 pounds. Purty poor showing for this team.
