Report: Fished One Bass FuturePro on the 6th and Western Bass FuturePro Class tournament on the 14th.New Bass inished with 16.8 lbs or middle o the road inish. Fished South and hit a good early morning spinnerbait bite (wh/wh) 5 ish up to 2.5 lbs. Fished disco without any luck. Moved to another location and began hitting better ish. Partner nailed 6.8 lb on mad craw tube. We proceeded to catch 15+ ish within the next hour plus all in the 2lb category. Some on Senko, others on mad craw tube. Also, hit 3+ on white spinnerbait during the surge. All action was incoming to high tide or outgoing in the AM. Good day but couldn't get the second big ish to join our 6+ riend.Tourney two was a nightmare in terms o weather. Fished out o Ladd's (new water) and missed the morning bite entirely (1 senko ish). Headed up 14 mile and didn't do much better. Caught 5.6 lb on Senko and then nothing until we headed back to the main river. Nearly capsized due to cigarette boat parade. Anyway, started cranking (white) and spinnerbait (wh/wh) and started nailing dink ater dink. Eventually ended up catching (3) 14 inch ish and partner nailed (1)2+ lb. Limit o 12.6. Considering the weather o.k. Couldn't get a jig bite at all.
      City: discover bay

Tips: The usual. For size use Jig/Tube baits, as well as, the old standbye. First year o Bassin' on the Delta and still learning. Catching ish consistently, but not with any size. CATCH and RELEASE. I think Don makes a great point about limiting the tournaments during this period. My girl was ready to drop her eggs. See on the water. TG

Report: Fished the Stockton Bass tourney on sat. with good success and the Western Bass tourney on Sun. with little success. on Sat. John and I took 2nd with 26 1/2 pounds. Winner had 29. We got our big ish (6.4) on a chugger. That was pretty exciting having that ish come up and inhale the chugger while it was just sitting there. We also had a 5.2 and a 5.3 to help the limit. Most ish caught on Senko's. The ish were pretty aggresive and we had a limit by 9:30. Most o the ish were tight during high tide and were ound around wood during low tide. We had decided i we did well on Sat. we would ish the Western Bass tourney on Sun. Bad idea. We did manage a small limit, but it was hardley worth it the way the the wind was howling. It was one o the rougher days I've had out there. Not to mention it was low tide in the aternoon to go along with the horrendous wind. We decided that an 11 pound limit was not worth weighing in and bolted or home at 1pm with our tails between our legs. Oh well, at least Sat. was good day.
      City: roseville

Tips: We were hoping or some more big emales to move into the area we ished on Sat., but the wind made our plastic pattern hard to stick with. Surprisingly, there wasn't much o a reaction bite going with all that wind. John did lose a real big ish on Sunday that might have made things interesting i he would o boated it.

Report: Our bass club shared the Delta with the big leaguers in the WON bass Pro-Am but there was plenty o water or everyone. It took 29+ pounds to win. The winner went down to Stockton on the irst day and Big Break on the second. Sat ish came on reaction baits and the bigger ish came on Senkos on Sunday. The second place guy, also got tournament big ish, got ish on Spinnerbaits and Buzzbaits in the north area along the main river. Almost everyone got limits on a variety o baits. My experience was the bite was better on the higher tide.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took a couple o days o last week to hit the hot Amador bite. Fish were hitting just about everything I threw. On 4-3 I had 25+ ish to 6 pounds and on 4-5 it was 30+ to 5 pounds. O course the ish were shallow and stupid, but it sure is nice not having to work or your bass once in a while. Ripping worked pretty well in the mornings and plastics did well in the aternoon. Also hit some nice crappie on jigs. The big ish on 4-5 came on a brush hog being ran over the top o the weeds.
      City: roseville

Tips: It was the irst time in years I didn't see a bass over 10 pounds during a spring trip. I know their in there, but I guess it just wasn't time or the big mama's to be there.

Report: Fished down south rom 5:30 to 2pm. Put just over 20 in the boat, mostly 1 and 2's with ew 3's. I lost a brush-hog ish along side the boat that was probably an 8 or very close. Ater about ten minutes o kicking mysel or screwing up one o those ew big ish opportunities my girlriend boated a 7.2 on a senko. The majority o our ish came pitching senko's around isolated tule clumps and docks. I also took a ew on a brush-hog and a spinnerbait. With one exception, the brush-hog ish averaged about a pound better than the senko ish. Also ound a ew locked on to the beds. Caught the same male twice but no play rom the emale.Lot's o bassers on the water today. Most were catching ish. We saw several 4's and 5's boated close to us. I'm sure the Tournament results today will be outstanding...
