Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took a couple o days o last week to hit the hot Amador bite. Fish were hitting just about everything I threw. On 4-3 I had 25+ ish to 6 pounds and on 4-5 it was 30+ to 5 pounds. O course the ish were shallow and stupid, but it sure is nice not having to work or your bass once in a while. Ripping worked pretty well in the mornings and plastics did well in the aternoon. Also hit some nice crappie on jigs. The big ish on 4-5 came on a brush hog being ran over the top o the weeds.
      City: roseville

Tips: It was the irst time in years I didn't see a bass over 10 pounds during a spring trip. I know their in there, but I guess it just wasn't time or the big mama's to be there.

Report: Fished down south rom 5:30 to 2pm. Put just over 20 in the boat, mostly 1 and 2's with ew 3's. I lost a brush-hog ish along side the boat that was probably an 8 or very close. Ater about ten minutes o kicking mysel or screwing up one o those ew big ish opportunities my girlriend boated a 7.2 on a senko. The majority o our ish came pitching senko's around isolated tule clumps and docks. I also took a ew on a brush-hog and a spinnerbait. With one exception, the brush-hog ish averaged about a pound better than the senko ish. Also ound a ew locked on to the beds. Caught the same male twice but no play rom the emale.Lot's o bassers on the water today. Most were catching ish. We saw several 4's and 5's boated close to us. I'm sure the Tournament results today will be outstanding...

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Well ished last sat & sun out o the Break, water was like chocolate milk rom all the wind we got on thur & ri.Location seemed to be the ticket and, it was not around the break.Sun at the Hook tourney I started out there at the north end by the pilings - not a bite. Ran to Emerson ished next to two other boats or about hour & hal - nothin'. I cranked speedtrap's two colors, liped senko's two colors, and a brown 1/2 oz jig w/purple Yamamoto grub - not a bite! then i got to thinkin' what Cooch said at the wiegh-ins or Western Bass on sat , that he did a change up on his jig pattern that worked or him. Said he went rom brown to black - 1/2 oz to 1/4 oz - added a rattle and blue pork! Said they were killin it So I rigged up on my way to Taylor through the 5 mph zone, hit the point by Angles and lipped a nice 2.5 on that jig under some allin over tulies 2:30pm gota go 3pm weighin.Back to the meat wall or ew lips then to the scales with one ish and mighty proud o it- (Western Bass sat 109 teams 44 blank-Hook sun 49 teams 8 blank!) Cooch man tells it like it is! Thanks Cooch! From talkin to some rats ater the tourney most o'em was doin the same thing, speedtraps, rattletraps, senko's,and jigs just ishin clearer water I think.Cant wait to get back out there to try and igure these ish out. One more thing -- Sat. Crappie isherman & Hawwaii dude 22lbs First place Congrats!!
      City: Tracy

Tips: I think ya need to head to the back end o sloughs to ind the clearer water,I helped work the scales at the Western Bass tourney on sat and by the color o most o the larger ish I'd say that's the ticket. But i ya stay in the mud stu add some noise, brite color and plenty o smelly-jelly

      City: San Jose, CA

Tips: The warm weather is bringing them up, but the muddy water made or a very tough day..Both o our ish came on Senkos, couldn't but a jig bite or spinnerbaits or crankbaits..Tried a lot o everything just real slow..
