Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Me and wife fished south side side and it started slow. She broke off two toads early. I said give me the pole and the fish was a fish and big at that. I gave it back to her and said good luck. Well she broke it off. Then another. But after that she kicked ass .we ended up with 18 lbs each what a weird day nine hours fishing with my wife and she said just one more fish.I was done and she wanted more. Sounds familiar.more more more
Tips: Get lucky and burn a few.and don't let a catfish punk u again .jigs and senkos for her.

Water Temp: 78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Mon-Tues, mostly close to home, and up towards Paradise cove/windflower. Literally thousands of silversides ( I heard that "rain on the water" sound too!) with lots of little 10" bass chasing 'em. Wow. I had a first for this year, too. I finally saw a huge raft of shad in the shallows near Indian Gardens, which disappeared after about 10 minutes and were replaced by more Silversides. Surprised me, as I haven't seen ANY this year. Anyways, had success to a little over 5lbs, mostly on weightless flukes tossed at schools of bait being chased. Most good fish in about 20ft of water. Also got some on small grn pumpkin power worms and dead ringers. Best 5 appx. 18-19.
City: Clear Lake ParkTips: Work offshore weed edges around secondary points, preferably with some rocks.

Water Temp: 78-82
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Like Larry H. said the water is the clearest I have ever seen in July, awesome to swim in but you have to sneak up on the bass in this natural, shallow lake:) OK my Buddy Mathew and myself fished 3 days Fri-Sun 7-11 to 7-13, Fri 15 fish total with a 8 lber kicker!! We used Watermellon Candy sweet beavers with only 2 fish for 2 hrs, switch to same color worm drop shot and that was the ticket, got the 8 lber at 10:30 PM right off a wall along with 6 other fish off that same wall.
Saturday we got around 15 fish also including another 7 lb kicker!! on the same drop shot, I got her under a dock in 6 feet of water and man did she try to wrap me around 4 pillings, you have got to know what you are doing drop shotting with 6 lb floro and be very lucky!! Sunday I fished new water and only got 4 fish to 2 lbs for about 4 hrs of fishing, the numbers were not good for July for me but I fished mostly new water in the Rattlesnake arm because I am camping at M & M now because my old camp ground closed to tents and thats where all my hots spots were but I do not want to burn all that gas going from M & M to Jago bay plus if the wind picks up is scares the heck out of my 4 year old daughter!
City: San JoseTips: Tip #1 Be very very quite these days, the water is very clear and they can see you and hear you a mile away
Tip #2 Down size your line and lures during day light hrs
Tip #3 Watermellon any flake
Tip #4 Unless your motor blew up no matter what happens have fun, if you are not having fun get another hobby:) -
Water Temp: 71-74
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well i managed to make ip up to Clear Lake on Wed. the 25th. I was on the water at aprrox. 5:15 a.m. I shot straight to Jago Bay and began throwing buzzbaits and frogs for the first 30 minutes. I got 2 blow ups on the buzzbait but couldnt get a hook in them, and 1 2.5 pounder on a frog. Switched to sinkos and that was the ticket ALL day! I've been throwing the 5 inch swim sinjko up there lately and have been killin em on it! I stayed in Jago Bay and threw that sinko and had about 14 fish with in the first hour an a half or so..Fish were up to 5.3 pounds. I was sitting in about 12 feet casting to the bank. Every fish i caught that day was near some sort of cover(dock, weedline, tulie,or even shade) Also there's a weed problem in alot of areas in the lake which makes the fishing a little more difficult as far as throwning baits with exposed hooks, but i believe makes the fishing a little bit better due to allowing the fish to move off the bank and still have cover and ambush points. Flukes, sinkos, texas rigged baits and just about anything weedless will work great. After Jago Bay i shot to the keys to get out of the wind. the wind wasnt too bad, but just a little frusterating especially when using a sinko. I picked up about 5 more fish in the keys up to 4 pounds in about an hour..through a frog for a bit with only one blowup..Water was 75 degrees in there didnt make sense why i didnt get more fish to come after it. Left the keys and went and fished an area near konocti and caught some more on the 5 inch sinko. Then went back to the same stretch i fished early in the morning wheer i knew there were fish and caught the hell out of them again icluding a 6.9 pounder in approx. the same area i caught the 5.3 earlier in the morning. Overall about 30 fish for the day, ALL coming 10 feet or shallower.
City: Yuba CityTips: SINKOS SINKOS SINKOS! Color #297 worked best, which is watermelon with green and purple flake. Really didnt try any reaction but the way that the fish were biting they seemed very active and i believe if you find rock in deeper water cranks and lipless cranks will do very well...

Report: went down on the 9th of april to fish and get a boat inspection and sticker, Bob at Limit out was on hand early to attend to the sticker issue, he was swamped, got my stuff but no sticker(he didn't have any yet)the powers that be would send me one in the mail,3 months later, no sticker despite numerous calls to the county and the visitors bureau, sent a letter to Bob and a week later the sticker was in the mail from bob. Just a great guy who takes care of his customers, Thanks Bob, I surely appreciate your attention to Lake County's problem.

Good day for us didnt here of anything much on the dock.
City: GuernevilleTips: 6 in bottom walkers seemed to be the ticket most productive areas being seawalls and green vegitation in about 2-5 feet of water

Report: I just bought the lure with a bunch of other stuff and I forgot the name of it. I can tell you that it was a deep diver, it had a dark green back, chartruese middle, and a whiteish bottom half, and some sparkle all around it. I'll find out the name tomorrow and let you know.

Water Temp: 42
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished 1/2 day on 12/28 out of Red Bud (So. End)made it as far as Kinackti on all 4 days with artificials, I tried drop shot, jig, rip, crank, senko & swim bait and only got one right at 5:00 pm, it was a fat 5.3 lber on a Rapala DT 10 crank bait. Fished 12/29 with my son Brandon, brother Benny, friend Keith and Tyler with minnows and I got smoked, I could only get 3 fish to go to 4 lbs, Tyler got 4 fish, Benny 5 fish to 4 lbs and Keith 8 fish to 6 lbs, everyone beat me that day even 12 year old Tyler!, They had fun with that:)On 12/30 only Benny and I fished with minners and got 4 fish each but they all came at the end of the day in 4-6 feet of water mind you, the prior days we were getting them in 15-25 feet but Sun night they were on the bank in 42 deg water eating something (bait fish/crawdads?)from 3:30 to 4:15 we got 6 fish, four 4+ lbers and 2 5+ lbers, my brother got 4 fish in a row before I realized he was casting into 4-6 feet of water and I was still in 15-25 feet, as soon as I started tossing into 4-6 feet I got 3 in about 10 cast. On 1/31 I only fished 1/2 day, my brother had to hit the road early so it was just my son and I and I decided to rip for 20 minutes and crank for 25 minutes and came up empty so I said that's it, I am going to use my new Shimano Cumara jig rod my Mom bought me for Christmas for the next 4 hrs (I still had not got a fish on it and wanted to break it in) I ended the day with 3 fish to 3 lbs on my new jig rod with double wide sweet beavers on a 1/4 oz shakey head that I modify from a 3/O to a 5/0. I think this is the first time I have ever caught bass in 42 deg water with artificials, I was kind of proud of that, I am an A personality and its hard for me to slow down that much.
City: San JoserTips: If you go with artificials I would use shad crank bait or brown jig and toss until your arm falls off, the crank bait fish was in 10 feet of water at 5:00 pm and it hit on the stop, all 3 of the jig fish hit as soon as the jig hit the bottom, no bites while dragging and man did I do some dragging and hopping and swimming. My brother is from Oregon and he decided to use a steel head type of set up for minnows, its like a drop shot set up only with a 3 way swival and a 1-2 feet of line on the hook end, this keeps the minnows off the bottom so they don't hide in the rocks, make sure your weight tag is longer than your hook tag so he can't hide. We use drop shot hooks when using minnows, the reason we use them is because we never kill fish with deep hooks, even if a fish does get a hook in the gullet the hooks comes out with no problem. All fish caught in 4 days are still alive and well for the next trip!

Water Temp: 55-60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Found water Clarity from 2 feet to 8 feet in places. Fished 11/16-11/18 with my 3 & 5 year old daughters plus took a friend of mine with me for the 5 hrs we did fish on Fri. My buddy got a 4 lb and 3 2 lbers on drop shot and I got 7 fish to 7 lbs (see photo's) on drop shot using 6 inch robo's in 10-20 feet of water on Fri, Fri we had 18 lbs. Sat I fished around 6 hrs along with a good amount a AC tourney guys, everyone was very good about keeping distance between each other, got a 5 lber on a Senko with lots of smelly jelly and at 6:00 PM with my 2 daughters dancing in my boat and jumping up and down I kid you not I got 4 fish to 10 lbs in 4 cast!!! the 10 lber (see photo's) I got on a 7 inch black berkley power worm on 6 lb line drop shotting on my Shimano Crucial drop shot rod, if a fish breaths on this rod you will feel it, had 23 lbs on Sat, Sun only fished 4 hrs but was so jazzed about the 10 lber I did not put much effort into it and got 3 fish to 3 lbs.
City: San JoseTips: Everything these bass have tried to eat in the last year has had hooks in it:) so if you fish during the day go with the lightest line you can because the water is also the clearest its been in years, almost like fishing Oroville in places. I tried swim bait had a few followers but no takers, had one rip bait fish but most fish were on drop shot in 10-22 feet of water. Like Larry and Marty have said (see photo's) night time is on fire right now, if you fish at night go black or black and brown.

Water Temp: 54-59
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Wow is the lake's water clear!! in certain areas I could see down 7-8 feet, the bite was tough, I tried swim baits for 1 1/2 hrs with no luck and than went to crank bait with no luck and than drop shot with no luck and than yes I did it, I tossed a split shot and got 7 dinks on Aarons magic and than got 1 about 2.5 lb at 1:30 on my favorite crank bait. I found 2 schools of fish, a school of 1 to 3 lbers about 15 fish in 7 feet of water, I could only get the small ones to bite the bigger ones would just look at my worm and swim away. I found a school of about 300 bass from 10 inches to 2 lbs, I kid you not there had to be at least 300 fish in this small cove, the next few years should be off the hook. I spoke to a number of guys out pre fishing for a few tourney's that are coming up and they said the bite was tough also exept for one guy who caught 6 fish while I watched in amazement, one was over 4 lbs and one was about 3.5, he just fished a BIG tourney at Clear Lake and has a small one coming up and boy did he show me a thing or two, he gave me a few of his worms (with out me asking) and gave me a few tips. I have been fishing for bass for 15 years and I am still learning and willing to learn, you can bet I will be switching one of my rigs to how he had his set up.
City: San JoseTips: I will not say what worm the tourney guy was using and the other tips he gave since he fishing soon but Aarons magic is working drop shot or split shot, if you can call one crank bait fish a tip there you go, Rapala DT10 black and silver.
I will be taking 2 of my kids up in 2 weeks, hopefully the bite will be better. -
