Report: Midday trip today. Started near redbud on docks I usually dont venture near. Caught a 3.0, 1.5, and 6 or so dinks.....good to see small ish except when they keep tearing up your senko. My buddy Dave, struggled w/my baitcast outit, but stuck a 3.2 in a tree. His biggest bass ever. I lipped a 1.5 out o another tree. Every other dock today had a dink on it. Seems like my best docks I hit at the wrong time o day/sun angle and The gooduns werent home. At 7pm I skipped my lure under a good dock and proceeded to dump a 4.5 or so. Dont lose many on senkos. I threw topwater or 2 hrs beore dark in konocti bay and never had a bump. Threw senko in good weedy areas beore dark and came up empty there too.
City: Yuba CityTips: I've heard that the ish are not on the rockpiles yet, but I may try them w/jigs on riday. Maybe the good ish will be on deep docks around midday. I'll ind out!

Report: Late aternoon, night trip with calm water or a change- almost too calm but ater my trip on the 5th I'm not complaining. No ish beore dark ; however I only ished a Rico, Spook, and buzz bait. No top water bites and the same held true or the am . My irst ish was in Soda bay on a june bug Hoo-daddy in 16 oot o water at 2:00 am. Nice ish at 7.8 lbs at with beautiul markings. Two more ish on a norman red/black DD-22 at about 3.5 to 4lbs, did not weigh them rom shag rock and that was it or me. My buddy got the skunk. All in all a slow night but calm and a great alling star show.
City: Sacto.Tips: Tons and I mean tons o bait ish on the Lowrance. With the water at 82 and the ammount o ood I'm expecting the ishing to slow down or me. O to the Delta or the next month as I have two tourn. in August there. Good luck and make sure your bilge pumps work.

Report: Launched at Redbud at 7pm, ran to Konocti Bay irst. Since sun had just gone behind the mountain, I started with a spitin image around docks & pilings. Third dock, irst ish, 4#er. No more bites there, moved to some points past the resort, and got 2 more 2-3#s. Switched to 10" power worm, nailed one FAAT 3.5#er. Moved over by Anderson at dark...I thought it wasn't supposed to be windy?? Anyway, nailed a couple more on the power worm 2-3#s. Funny, the wind didn't die down, just switched 180 degrees. Fished around Dollar, and set on something that didn't move initially.....I'm thinking...alright, a hawg.......nope..8# Cat...rats! Fished around a little more, only got 1 more 2#er. Took a nap until 1st light, then started throwing a black buzzer, nailed a couple more 3.5#ers, and one 2#er on a brushhog. Pulled out at 9am.
City: san joseTips: I thought the weeds were supposed to be bad? I saw ew i any mats where I was....guess the weedkillers had been through there already

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Took the nephew out Sunday @6:30pm when all the holiday crowd would be gone. Hecka windy, but picked up a 4.5 on a tree ater ishing a normally productive line o trees w/no success. A guy was on a bank I normally ish and he tells me he caught 3 gooduns out o the line o trees.....rats! Catch 2 short ish on senkos o same point, then head out to the wind whipped south end. Man was it blowing. Throw topwater in protected area and nephew bangs a 2.5 or so on a popper. I have a chaser that nips at mine as I am bringing it out o the water. Head to some deeper water or dusk bite....nothing. Finally get a 4.5 on a brushog at about 10pm....I mean no other bites at all. Ater a sandwich break I start ishing weedline on a rocky bank and bang my biggest ater dark ish to date, an 8.3. The wind is keeping me in very sheltered areas, so I turned the boat around and get a 3.7 near where I got the 8 just a ew minutes later. Fished another 200 yards here w/no bites. Down the lake to another protected area in Konocti and still no bites on brushogs or 10" worms. Fish probably 400 yards and try targeting shallower areas and pick up a 4.5.....HMMMMMMM, maybe I am onto something. Navigate around a dock and sling it up shallow and eel one take o w/it. Wound up going 5.0. About 1:30 now and the nephew is inished. He has already ished the delta today and is too pooped to pop! The wind is laying down now, as it requently does and I toy w/the idea o hitting another spot, but He has to work 8 hrs rom now. I called it a night.......a night to remember. My personal best 5 ish at night....26.8 lbs.
City: Yuba CityTips: The ish are not biting normal baits or me ater dark. My nephew threw 10" worms all night and never got a bite. I am experimenting w/a new night bait that I'll keep under my hat or now.

Report: Night ishing trip rom hell. Started out about 8:30pm, nice and calm went by and spoke to a group o riends who were celebrating the 4th, while it got dark. Then the winds picked up and blew and blew. Thank God or Ranger boats otherwise I would have been on the bottom, totally swamped my boat in 4 oot rollers while trying to make it to the back side o rattlesnake or some calm water. That was about 12:30 and it was dark as a mine shat while I yelled at the stairs, what the hell am I doing out here? Any how I ound a tulie berm somewhat protected and waited until daylight. From 5:30 until 11:30 am I ended up with a limit , the largest was 7.1, another 6.8, and 4.6 along with 2 13 or so inchers. All three big ish were on rock humps 20 oot + deep and caught on a pumpkin with red lake yam. grub ( 7" ) Flordia riged 1/4 oz. weight. The two small ish on a luckey crat crank bait, 6-12 oot rock tulie breakline. Found a jet sky ellow who snapped a couple o pictures or me and o the lake or a day o drying tackle and the water vac.
City: sacramentoTips: I had two boats ish to me and past me moving too ast. The larger ish wanted it sloooow. The strikes were hard though. Nothing on a spook or buzz bait early.

Report: Fished rom 7:00pm until 3:30 am and or the irst time in my experence ishing clear lake got on one o the "wol Packs". My irst ish o the experience , all North, was a 6.2 lb on a black ledgebuster spinner bait, shallow at 10:00pm. Only one other beore dark on a 7" senko on the outside edge o tulies. From the spinner bait ish I went to 3 submerged rock piles and caught 12 ish between 5.6 and 8.3 lbs. I did a milk run rom the 1st to the 3rd rock pile picking up a ish on each one until 3:00 am at which point I was exhausted. The ish that I landed were between the above weights and I had two at the boat That would not it in my net and came unbuttoned. Absolutely the best trip I have had . The quality o ish in this lake never ceases to suprise me.
City: SacramentoTips: The later ish were on a Florida riged Yamamoto 7"black and blue lake Grub in 14-26 oot o water. This trip made up or more than a ew trips in which the wind kicked my be-hind this spring.Night rules on this lake..

Report: Fished Monday night. Got on water @ 8:30 or some more topwater experimenting w/a magnum bait.....no luck. Full moon made navigation easy. Fished Konocti area and up to shag rock and as ar south as the boatworks. Caught my one and only ish, a 3.2 @ 10:30. I had one other bite on a 7" senko that ate the bait in hal. I ished tules, rocks, docks, shade, etc, and had more than a couple pecks and pops, but came up empty every time. I igure they were bluegill or small bass. I would have believed i someone told me that I caught the last bass in the lake. Lack o bites was disappointing, but otherwise a peaceul, relaxing night on the water. Oh well, cant get them all the time!
City: Yuba cityTips: I thought a night or two w/in the ull moon would help the postspawn june ishing. Boy was I wrong. The only thing I didnt do was crank as I let that rod at home. BTW, the ish I did catch was on a brushog by the girl scout camp.

Report: In at Redbud @ 5:30am in to Konocti bay to try a magnum topwater I am trying to become amiiar w/. No bites on it, a chugbug, or senko.....oh boy. Get a 10" @9:30 in tules. I had basically ished inside stu with the spawn and all. Headed toward the narrows and ished a coupla docks with no bites. Rats. Fished a marina near the narrows where I usually catch a maximum o one ish. I ish the whole thing, very careully. Catch two 2.5 lb ish on senkos and 2 dinks on trees. Shag rock gave me a 2.5 on a luke. Fluked soda bay and henderson area or several more missed bites and 15 or so ollowers. Tried splitshotting windmill pt w/no results. Spooled up reel w/ 30 lb or lipping heavy wood in south end and caught keeper # 4 a 4.5 at 4:30pm on a brushog. Caught a senko dink later and headed home @ 5.
City: Yuba CityTips: I believe the lack o reports here gives insight to the ishing......tough. I know they are biting something, but I just didnt get on it....still un though. I dont believe I missed any/many bites.

I remember reading Larrys post and ound bed ish in 8 eet o water, saw a dark patch o grass with a lighter color in the middle and it was a male locked on the nest, second cast he ate it and was boated, ound more bed ish but they werent interested, ended up with 4 ish or 13.40 lbs, irst place angler had 5 ish or 15 + lbs caught on senkos, big ish was 4.5 lbs.Second day- Sunday, went to lakeport area again ish were cruising and didnt ind any ish committed to the nest. Report: I ished all weekend in the southern end o the lake and watched or signs o the Bass moving in to shallow water. On Friday I saw no signs o ish but by Sun there were many big bass moving in. On riday morning I ished or 2 hours in shallows without any luck. I then moved to the rocks in South Koonciti Bay and caught a 5 and a 7 on a brown jig with Mad Man Craw in about 16' o water. The water is extremely clear and the bass that moved shallow later in the weekend were very spooky. I saw several ish caught with minnows but did not have any luck with a tube, senko, jerkbait, or jig in shallow water. I saw no ish on beds yet.
