Report: my dad and I had the pleasure o going on a night trip with Jerry last night. got in at centimudi at 8:30, and ater a ew dock problems, we were o to the big backbone. I was throwing a yammamoto hulagrub in #204 and 168. I had a small large mouth right o the bottom within about hal an hour, but nothing or awhile. had many hits put they took it and let it o almost right away. inally at about 11:00 pm we started getting ish o o steep rock walls just throwing to the bank and dragging it back,we had 17 in the boat with 3 coming o right at the boat, no real size but still un. out o the water at 12:30 and went to Denny's or an early breakast. anyone who gets the chance to ish with Jerry is in or a treat we had a great time, cant wait to do it again.
City: reddingTips: hula grubs in 168 and 204 thats what worked last night also steep rock walls seemed to be the hot ticket.

Report: Umpqua Valley Bassmasters o Roseburg OR held yearly Shasta tournament 6/1-6/2. Weather was overcast and muggy or most o Saturday and clear or Sunday. My partner and I ound lots o ish on main lake points and humps up the Pit and the Sac arms. We had a ew topwater ish each morning and then switched to darterheading 6" worms. We ended up with 10 ish or 22.4 lbs, and that was enough or irst place. Second place had 21.5 lbs, and third was at 16.09.
City: Eugene ORTips: Mother's Finest 6" worms (available at Phil's props) in oxblood and MF-1 colors were working very well or us.

Report: Went up or the irst time to shasta and stayed on a house boat in the sac river arm. Had a blast and caught soo many ish. Fished or a hal day riday, established a pattern and ran it till monday. Caught 40-50 keepers a day by crankin deep divers on steep banks and then mid day the dropshot took them all on blu banks. the ish were 10-45 t deep. it did not take much just ind the ish and cast to them. weighed in just shy o 20lbs or our two day tounament(ten ish).Hope this helps someone. Shasta was awesome.
City: antiochTips: shad/blue or cranks and worms. Take your drop shot worm and bite an inch o o it. all the bigger ish came on a 2 or 3" worm deep. also caught a ew two pounders on a "lip this" spot remover jig.

Report: Spent a ew days ishing Shasta or the WB tournament. Thursday and Friday had a great bite going in the Willows catching decent numbers and some up to 2.6# on Senkos and worms. That bite slowed on Saturday and Sunday ater the minor ront passed on Friday. The jig/C-rig bite then picked up as the ish seemed to drop to the bottom rom their suspended positions and move a little deeper to the 18-25 oot range. Kept gettin stuck having un during preish catching the 13" spots. The dropshot bite is awesome on points and near willows. Use electronics to ind ish in the 25-35 oot range on main cove points and drop a 4" Robo Worm in Aaron's Magic. About the time the weight hits bottom you will have a bite. Don't shake it much, just let it set or slowly raise and lower the worm. Some points are loaded and you can catch 20-30 ish per hour although all seemed to be 13" clones.
City: BrentwoodTips: Shasta seems to be improving in size o ish. Keeping a ew 13-14" spots will only help it improve, but release the largemouth and smallmouth.

Report: report or 4-2-02 thru 4-702, lake up near 12t and still rising, the spawn is under way, went out with Steve and Carol rom Reno with their daughter, Andrea and her hubby, Pete on a silvethorn boat on Tues-Thurs and had a great time. We ished early and late all three days and the bite is on big time, the mornings ound us throwing a ew rip baits with no success to speak o but the jig and worm bite was something else with some good ish all three days. Pete is new to bass ishing but I igure he got the hang o it when he hooked up with a 2.7 black on Thursday around 9 am in the og. The weather has been very warm, into the 90's and not getting too cold at night, we were camped out in the McCloud in Keluche Creek and ished as ar north as ellery creek and south to the erry. most ish were dinks as usuall but we did have a dozen over 2lbs with Pete's being the biggest. My wie Bronla, really got into them good on Tuesday evening outside Nosoni Creek. My trip today put me in the water at 628 am, air temp 44 and the water at the Hirz Bay ramp was 53.5, went into Kamloops and ound a bunch o cruisers and caught 35 or thereabouts but they were all small with the exception o one at 1.8.. I did see a ew spots on beds in the back but I let them alone, one looked to go around 4 lbs and was in 6 eet o water on a red mud bank. The western bass guys came lying by abot 635 am and only three or our boats went up above me with a handul into and around Hirz Bay. The best size producing worm was the MGM 156, it was the best hands down, tossing jigs was the most productive and the MGM 107 accounted or the best 5 ish by Carol, Steve and Pete on Wednesday evening. got out today a little late so I didn't make it to the weigh-in, very warm day with light winds.

Report: Fished up the Mcloud back in a cove and client pops a dozen or so on a texas rigged worm. Went back to work willows but there was a houseboat on them. Water wasn't as warm as mainlake stu so headed or the pit. Caught ish rom all the way out to all the way in. Several nice ish in a muddy cove with brush and 62 degree water. Found some more ish cruising way back and started catching them on a weightless worm. Clients thought it was cool to see the ish come up and hit the worm, me too. Forty or so ish with best weighing two poinds, seven ounces on the normark.Had to hand o the rod or a while so clients could get a eel or that sot bite.p.s. anyone coming back in a cove at ull throttle on me is asking or a problem, especially when I have guests in my boat!!! please honor the 5 mph markers.

Report: Fishing report rom Sunday on the Delta page. Hey Jerry, your not the only one that does that, oops! Wednesday cranked some ish back in warm muddy coves and bladed ish o steep windy blus. Three over two but had to cover lots o water but was un to throw reaction stu. Thursday went out looking or easy ish or clients this Sunday. Found ish stacking up on points and suspending about ive eet o the bottom. Really easy to graph, dropshot and move on. Fish should be back and in the willows really soon i not already. Keep your eyes peeled or cruisers and i in doubt hit the points. Check out my website at www.rippinrobs.com.
City: Shasta LakeTips: Better ish on shallow lat points on Wedn. and Thurs. but that could all change by the weekend.

Report: Fished all week mostly in the Pit River arm. Caught ish rom shore down to 40 t. The consistant producing depth was about 20 t. We got several pretty nice bass, 2 lb. or better range. I lost one at the boat that was a little bigger, came o as I was reaching down to lip it. We caught 131 ish in 5 days, not our best, but it was sure nice to be out. Most o our ish were caught on jigs, but I did get a couple that slammed my white spinnerbait. Water was warming nicely all week.

Report: This isn't a report. I have a question. It is mainly or Jerry but anyone else can answer. I ish Shasta a ew times a year and have never seen the MGM worms u always talk about using. I was wondering i u could tell me a place in that area where i can ind them because I will be up there this weekend. Does the Basshole have them? Thanks, Larry

Report: Launched out o Jones at irst light. No wind and about 42*.Went to the Squaw or the irst time this year to see what is going on there.Caught ish driting on dart head and jig,30' seemed to be best depth.Tried a 3' senko 10'bring it outto about 25' Had good action caught some on the all and somevery slow drag on the bottom.Seeing better ish, still waitingor blade bite.
City: CorningTips: Senko is a slow way to ish but produced some heavier ish.

Report: Last two trips out have been about the same. Fish seem to be moving up a bit with points and humps outside coves producing ish on twin tail grubs in pumpkin and cinn. colors. Have been moving the baits airly quickly with success. Clents have had to learn to eel that sot bite but with a little coaching they are picking up on it. A good Loomis rod, heavy action, really helps.

Report: Launched at Packers at 9:00. Fished reaction baits till noon with one on a Staysee in the ghost shad pattern, my avorite. Started ishing steep stu up the Sac. picking up ish on twin tail jigs in dierent pumkins and browns, didn't matter. Best ish 2.3 in 45' inside a point.Got dangerous around 2:30 with the lightning and hail and waited too long to come in. Takes alot to drive me in but it was enough. Finding lots o ish on steep stu with rock and on the mainlake sides o secondary points. Two gauranteed patterns are dropshotting above 40' and twin tail grubs below 40' on heavy lead. I you lose one tail don't take it o. Them ishies will still eat it!!!
City: Shasta LakeTips: Clear water use a blue ghost color worm and in stained water use green to dark green. These two colors are pretty consistent on Shasta. Bite is still real sot or me, more o a loadin' up kinda mush bite.

Report: Fished with Gary Collins again today. Great partner! Decided to leave the jig bite alone and go in search o. Found ish up in 10' to 30' today. Gary is a great dropshot isherman! He was up on me 8 to 1 till noon. managed to get lucky and redeem mysel slightly with a 2#10oz. spot on the Normark on a lat rocky point halway back in a cove on the Sac. Found some 55 degree water and I got lucky again with a 3#9oz. hen o a bush on a white blade. Fishing was or the most part an extremely sot bite up shallow or us on the Sac. Dropshotting produced most ish very slow and shallow. Probably caught 35 to 40 ish between us looking or those better ish with Gary putting it to me pretty good early on. Hope our ish tales come out about the same!!!

Report: in the water at 8am at peacock, and went downstream to Ruby or three, irst one was a at 12 plus, the second was a shade under 9 and the third was a whopper at 15 and is presently the big ish o the month. Never heard o peacock? wandering where the heck is ruby? I was on the Smith River this weekend or my irst crack at steelhead. Had a great time with Mick Thomas (1-800-248-4704) who owns Lunker Fish Trips, a guide service. Mick has been on the river since he was born and really knows it, the iteen jumped a ew times and ripped o 10 yard bursts o line in a matter o a second or two, what a ish! the water over there is clearing nicely and the ish are on their way up rom the ocean. Back out to the lake tomorrow ( I hope)

Report: Fishing has been predictable. Steep chunk rock points have been holding deep ish, 50 to 60 eet, ishing with twin tail hula grubs. Flat points are holding better ish but not as many. Some rip ish here and there but "rip" and miss at best. Caught 19 Wedn. aternoon with best ish 2.lbs,13oz. on the scale. Plenty o 1.75 ish. The key to those deep ish is 10lb. P-Line and a heavy action Loomis (or other high quality) Rod. Don't need much tackle right now as some 1/2 and 3/4oz. jig heads, some grubs and a ew worms will cover most anything.Note: I have a Pinpoint graph and eel it is the best you can buy and I am seeing very ew o those deep ish I am catching. They are really holding tight to the bottom. Does anybody want to do some web page design in exchange or a ishing trip? Hope I can ask that on this site.
