      Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Me and my buddy mike started the morning off in the main body throwing ripbaits. We hooked up with eight keepers within 15 min. As soon as the sun came up the bite stopped. With the wind blowing we decided to go back in the west branch and look for mud lines. We fished from about 9am to 2pm with no bites. Around 2pm the fish moved up and started feeding. At one point we caught 20+ fish on a solid mudline with a dropshot and a shakyhead. We ended the day with around 40 fish and a 13 pound bag... Real happy with that!!
      City: Yuba Dubba

      Tips: Sleep In!

      Water Temp: 53

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Buckner and I got out early and started tossing ripbaits along points and walls. We noticed a lot of surface activity and the fish inhaled our rapala and lucky craft rips in silver/char. and silver/red. One fish was just tearing me up--felt like the one--but she was hooked in the back and hard to turn. I followed that bite with my first senko fish of the year. Tossed an orange pumpkin into a slot along the wall that just begged for it "wacky style". We moved to the main and fished the slot with dartheads to finish the day at noon with over a dozen spots.
      City: Paradise

Tips: The ripbait bite made our day, but we never hooked another fish on them after the early am. Just like prior trips, we would fish 200 feet with no action, then find two or three biters in one spot. Very little pressure on the lake for a nice Sunday morning.

      Water Temp: 57-62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I took a client on Friday, not expecting too much action since the lake had strong winds most of the week. Visability is the usual 15+ feet and water level down 10-12 feet. I was happy that he hooked 6 bass but could only put one in the boat. One broke my heart - she was a big smallie in the 4 lb plus range and got off at the boat. He had not rigged the worm he was using properly and the hook was really too small. I showed him most of the lake and introduced him to the off-shore structure we all need to know after the spawn. Great client - we had lots of fun!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The jig bite has been a little slow. 3 and 4 inch worms are working ok, especially drop-shotted. Water is pretty clear for crankbaits except in early morning shadows. Most of the available wood is still out of the water. I think the average depth of most bass is below 15 feet. We did see 2 cruising smallies - one maybe 6 lbs. But that was it!

      Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: launched at sunrise and while we were getting in the boat i saw a kid catch a 2lb crappie on the dock. healthy fish! went to the other side of the lake and worked the points with no takers! then i found a cove with a little waterfall and 2 casts later i caught a 3pounder! a couple more casts and lost one at the boat, spit the worm right at me. had a couple more bites but no fish. went around the corner and same pattern in the cove with a waterfall flowing into the lake the bass seem to be in 5 to 10 ft of water where ever there is running water. my buddy caught 1 nice 2pounder on the way back in we went to the first cove we stopped at and i picked up 1 more and we lost 3 more fish. the bass arnt eating the plastic 6inch worms , it seems like they are picking it up but not inhaling it.overall my first trip ever to amador and i will be back to find a 10 pounder. we caught 5 and lost 4 all on robo worms in sxe shad and purple and brown t-riged in no deeper than 15 ft.

Tips: fish slow and make sure to set the hook, light bite

      Water Temp: 55-60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the Redwood Empire Bass Club monthly tourney and found the spots and smallies on main lake rocky points in 10'-20' of water. Mostly drop shotting shad colored worms. Caught a limit by 9:30. Also caught fish on a tube and grub. Later headed into Putah Creek and culled most of our earlier fish on the drop shot and texas rigged worm. Check us out at www.rebc.net. Next month's tourney at Clear Lake.
      City: Rohnert Park

Tips: Used 6 lbs test fluorocarbon with 3/16 oz weight texas rig. Drop shot 6 lb test also. Most worms were 4"-5" with curly tails. Colors included pumpkin, sexy shad, pink and MM3. Lighter colors worked better than darker other than green pumpkin. Largemouths were relating to wood in the coves.

Report: Fished club tournament (REBC) out of Capell. 5 teams with limits; mine had 3, caught on dropshot (various roboworm colors; 4"). Main lake; 2 off vineyards in 18ft, 1 south of Goat off a secondary point in 8ft. Some guys got 'em cranking shallow, others on d/s on main lake points.
      City: San Rafael

Tips: Drop shot main lake points in 10-20 feet. They're not really 'up' yet, but it's gotta be getting close... watch the weather (temps).

Report: Fished all day, saw fish on finder. Used sickos, jigs, Texas rig, Carolina rig, natural worms. Did not catch any bites.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: The fish that I did see were between 40-50 ft.

      Water Temp: 63 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Ran my custom Valco Bass Boat "BASSBUSTER 1" back behind Garlic Bothers this afternoon (2 - 6 p.m.) for the first time this season. Focusing on the new docks along the Brookside Homes. Tried cranks, spinnerbaits, and jigs with no bites. Switched to 7" Berkley Power Worms and finally got bit. Only 2 bass in about 4 hours of fishing. I was really surprised to see how poor the fishing was when I noticed the full moon.
      City: Stockton

Tips: Keep trying different lures and techniques until Mr. Bass tells you what he/she wants. :-)

      Water Temp: 58-63

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out with Rich on the inagural re-apperance of my boat "jessie" on the water. Our trip last year on clearlake when my optimax crapped out for the third time, my baby was all beat up. She did well the first trip out as usual we shall see how the next few trips go. On to the fishin. We got on the water bout 2:30pm fished till 6:30 landed 10, missed another six to eight fish. Light bite as stated in the earlier post, darterhead/DS was the ticket no reaction yet. The fish seem a tad healthier this year given the low lake conditions in the past. It's not on fire yet, but staging is in the process, saw one that was likely on the bed but not locked on yet. Good to get out and set the hook!
      City: plumas lake

Tips: patience, bring alot of it and you man get rewarded!

      Water Temp: 58-64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: One word: Plastics! It has been a plastics bite for me since January. On this day it was basically the same as it has been for me for months now. Dropshot/splitshot/texas rigged worms. Pro staff peoples worm by robo has trumped oxblood light red flake and jackall watermelon candy flick shake. The big fish bait for me for the whole year has been a wacky rigged 5 inch senko.Green pumpkin black flake has worked always but Green pumpkin with black and purple flake just gets you hammered. All of my better fish have been extremely shallow yet the are not on the flats rather they seem to be adjacent to the flats on the deeper edges that lead to them. If the bait hits the water and your line shoots off towards deep water it's going to be one of your better fish. There seems to be a lull in the action at midday but if it's overcast...The bite goes all day. Most of the fish are concentrated on wood and brush in 2-12 feet. You can fish pretty fast and cover the water with the dropshot by simply throwing to wood that you can see or throwing to the dark spots that you can't quite make out. Of course the telltale signs of a bed can be seen from a very long distance....The circular brushed off areas surrounded with clam shells are spaced out about every ten feet all the way around the lake. The fish have been like this for weeks and there should be one last good shot of them up to the new full moon in April. I did catch 8 rip bait fish this week. I have not been able to get this going at all but it most likely means we are now fishing with some post spawn fish. I have yet to see the shad up as in years past but they are due.
      City: Ojai

Tips: Deadstick your baits(plastics) or at least try to keep them in the wood when you find it. I shake the baits but I don't move them until I have given it some time. The tag end from the hook to my dropshot sinker has averaged 6 inches or less. I also seem to do better with 4 1/2 inch baits...somedays it does not matter.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: First time I fished here in a long time. Walked the bank around the dam throwing cranks and 6" worms. Nothing. Went back along south side and walked down some steep banks and did OK. Thrownig Kevkel fur jigs in brown and orange. Had 2 really quick both about 2 lbs. found a good point and picked up 3 in less than 5 mins, all were in the 2 lb range. Didnt do anything else there. About an hour later on another point picked up 2 more. One was pushing 4 lbs. Not bad for a couple of hours. Thats the best I'v done here in years. Hope for better days ahead
      City: San Jose

Tips: All the fish were in about 15' of water and all caught on Kev-Kel fur jigs in brown and orange. didnt even get bit on anything else.

Report: I went to Shadow to see if there were any spawners up yet and there were a few but not any big numbers yet. I did see a few about 7-9 lbs but no real big ones today. I also could not get them to eat anything. After the next storm I think there should be some good numbers of fish up on beds.

Most were caught on Watermelonseed/Red Flake Lizards, and I had quite a few bites on Natural Shad Senkos hooked Wacky style. Most fish were caught in 3-4 feet, with some as deep as 25-30 feet. Seeing more fish in the shallows, but no spawning bass yet. Water is at the base of the flat concrete slab on the west side of the dam.
