Report: After fishin multiple known spawning areas with no results(2hrs) I went to old river and deep water where in 7 feet near the drop to 18 the 5.8 lbs bass ate my Seinko and ended up in my boat. He was a bit tore up and I think he had recently completed the nest somewhere. Going out today to look for momma.Everyone I talked to was having tough times but they were hidin in wind protected shallow areas that are pounded regularly.
      City: San Leandro

Tips: I found my fish in 7 feet near the drop in the big river. Big fat weightless Seinko-297 8"

Report: Launched out of capel morning. There were about 35 float rafters/tubers out there holding a tournament. Tough day. Fished drop shot, wacky senko, crankbait, jigs, from 5-30 feet, mostly 20+. Only 3 small spotties. They were either shut mouth or they moved to 50 feet, which I should've fished. No wind.....maybe that's why it was so tough.

      Water Temp: 49-51

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My friend Mike need to go fishing (I certainly didn't, har!) - so we made the trek to Clear Lake to see if we could get any night fish. It was supposed to be cloudy with some showers - but as usually for me, all stars!! It wasn't too cold however and the breeze was light. We fished the Oaks arm and several spots in the narrows. We did ok with 9 bass in the Ranger up to 5 1/4 lbs and a limit of 19+ lbs. We fished from 8 pm 'til 12:30 am. It was an early night bite - couldn't get anything after 11:30 pm. We lost 3 good fish for some reason (brains we too cold to set the hook?)! Brush hogs and jigs were our baits of choice and one on a D&M swim jig. Cold front moved them out again I think, though we did hook a few on the edges of tulles at Rattlesnake Island. Some of our bass came out of 20+ feet still.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Even with the cold night Thursday, some bass were still as shallow as 5 feet. Finally we actually felt a slight bite instead of the usual winter pressure bite. Once the weather settles and warms again for a few day, the "bite" should be on!!

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out Sunday with a buddy and only had 2 bass all day until about 4pm. That is when the boat traffic died down a bit and we could venture to a point or 2. (we were in a small jon boat with only a trolling motor)We hooked into a nice school of spots on a secondary point the wind was blowing into. We caught 9 spots on that one point with the biggest going 2.8 and out of the 9, 5 of them were 2 pounds or better. We had back to back to back casts that produced 3 spots 2lb+
      City: Paradise

Tips: We had our early bass on a spinnerbait and a crankbait. But all those spots on the point came off a 6" worms texas rigged in about 15 feet of water. The funny thing....we watched 3 or 4 tourney boats stop at this point and catch nothing. But I'm sure they were already weighing in by the time the point loaded up. We located a huge spot all the way back into a creek in about 5 feet of water but she laughed at everything we offered. I guessing she was about 5 pounds or more.

      Report: newcomer
      City: red bluff

Tips: your guide fishes to make sure there are fish for you to try and catch. he does not want to fish you in a spot where there are not enough fish for you to catch, thats why he's called a guide. he guides his clients to fish and when he catches fish it shows you the fish are there and catchable the rest is up to you. most of your better guides do not fish once they put you on fish, they just baby sit the client.

Report: fished from 10am-3pm, caught 25, 3/4-2 lbs. *-15 ft. All but 1 on c-rigged watermelon baby brush hogs. One on a shad colored dropshot in 30ft of water. All @ north end of lake. Flats with deep water nearby. A little warmer and could bust open. Still no reaction bite, but shouldn't be long away.
      City: morgan hill

Tips: Keep presentation slow, fish will commit, but not ready to pounce yet. Maybe ready for spinnerbaits or rip baits soon.

Report: Just to let you know that I drove by the lake this afternoon and with all the rain we had this week, CFW is now full. It is not going over the dam but everything is covered and from the road, the water looked pretty good so if you're not fishing a tournament this weekend CFW should be pumping out some nice fish.

      Water Temp: 49-52deg

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Josh..if you're fishing from shore, you're probably fishing for trout or catfish. I see alot of shore fisherman in either the Brown's Ravine area near the launch ramp or the next cove over. I think they plant trout there sometimes. Also same thing at Granite Bay launch ramp and surrounding points. My favorite trout rig is a sliding egg sinker above a swivel and about a 2.5' leader...#6 egg hook with 1/2 nightcrawler and 2power eggs or a marshmellow to float it. ...or just simple power bait. Work off the points and areas leading into an inlet...trout school around and cruise points. If you like bass fishing, roam the shoreline throwing a 1/4oz darthead with a 4" to 6" plastic worm in Aaron's Magic or Morning Dawn colors. Just work the worm off sides and tops of points. Cast it out, let it fall to the bottom..work it slow and jiggle it. Then let it sit. Wait a few secs...repeat. Good luck...tight lines!
      City: folsom

Tips: Nightcrawler under a bobber also catches!! ...trout, catfish, and even bass. Just hope you consider catch and release on the bass...but that's your choice. Tight lines!

Report: I am new to the area and Folsom Lake. Fished up by old salmon falls this last week and absolutely no luck, not even a bite. Don't have a boat, fishing from the shore. Anyone have any pointers on some good spots to fish from shore? Not asking for any super secret stuff just something easy. Are the fish mostly down in the main part of the lake where the water is warmer?
