Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Zero, zip, skunked, nada'gd'thing. Completely opposite last weekend. Saw fish at various depths but just couldn't figure it out. Windy in the morning and thought that would score on the windy points...zero, zip, skunked, nada...tried darthead, finesse jig, dropshot, tiny swimbait...everything that worked last weekend... zero, zip, skunked, nada..oh, I guess I said that already. Well, such is life trying to catch bass at Folsom Lake.
      City: folsom, ca

Tips: I guess keep trying...saw the bassers head straight to south fork but also saw them working same main lake points..so did we. Favorite areas were zero, zip, skunked, nada (sorry, just had to say it again)...I'm pretty sure the pro-ams caught..hope one or more of them post something.

Report: A interesting day of fishing for sure, I fished the CBC today and it was a well ran event! I did not place well but did manage to figure out some fish with lil to no time at ths lake. Don Pedro has far more Smallmouth Bass than I had any idea! I knew there was a few in there, but there's more than that! Many fish released were smallies. And some spotted bass too! If your looking to fun fish try small tubes or a split shot and drag it slow! The bite is light so be ready! Pockets or creek guts with 10-30 feet of water and chunk rock are holding these smallies. Points that look like Large Mouth heaven are hoding Smallies and Spotties. If you are to try for Largemouth try the ugly banks with clay and a mud line shallow with a Shakey head or a senko. This weather will bring the largemouth up!
      City: Elk Grove

      Tips: SLOW!

Report: went to pinto just to go and take a day off from the bigger lakes with traffic, started out at 8am started fishing slow shallow and got bit so stuck to that all day.caught about 20 fish, smallest one was about 2.5...biggest about 7.over all the fishing is doing great.
      City: watsonville

Tips: take your time its a small lake...to those who aint getting bit, dont get mad...just keep fishing .there are alot of big fish here you just gota take the time and find them.if you dont get nuthing, chances are you need to analyze what your doing wrong cuz whatever it is its keeping you away from good bass

Report: Put a friend on some of my spots last weekend for a club tourney. They used the same set up as me and Scott.Sinkos in the watermelon black flake / Jigs in brown with green pumpkin twin tails. Along with a drop shot. They took first place with 12.65 lb, not as much wait as me and Scott had the week before but they got in to a lot of fish. This is a awesome lake with lots of fish, but like all lake you have to put your time in on the water and find them.
      City: Galt

Tips: Put your time in on the water before you doubt others report. I put my time in on this lake for 15+ years and there is still days I don't do that well. Tight lines and happy fishing

      Water Temp: 47-49

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I did a little scouting trip yesterday late afternoon and again this morning - about 3 hrs each trip. The lake has nice color in the main body and is fairly dingy up the river. I targeted off shore structure in the main body and found a few takers! I caught 2 and lost one at the boat in the afternoon a missed 3 more. The biggest one took a rainbow trout colored D&M Piranha swim jig in about 15 feet of water. The other bites were on a Blade Runner jig. This morning I only got bit 3 times and landed a largemouth close to 3 lbs and another quality spot - both on a brown/orange jig. I did try to locate some shallow fish but no-go. All bass were on some type of rock structure 12 to 20 feet.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The lake is down 23 feet but still rising. No bass migrations to the shallows has taken place yet as far as I can see. Nice to see some activity though!

Report: i happen to see the last too posts about smallies and spots. About 7 or 8 years ago while night fishing - I DID catch a 14 inch spotted bass in Amador. There was no doubt - looked like a clone from Oroville. It was soon in the garbage can. Some say there are spots in Pardee - that is where this one probably came from.

Water Temp: -50 last we wer

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: This is in response to the guy asking if anyone fished here lastely. As this is my most favorite lake, havent gone out for a month or so. last time i went it was all baby red senkos drifting the bottom...BUT, took my kids to Hensley just so they could do some trout fishing and i walked the shore dreaming of a few bass. Well it came true. I was fishing a few coves around the boat launch area...opposite of the swimming area launch. Kids caught their trout while mommie used a half 6" big red senko and caught a 3lber and then a bit later there are some rocks across the parkling lot and i was able to land my baby red senko right on the rocks and drag it off and bam, another 3lber...then it was time to go...i think bass are coming...God, what a long season it seems before the bass come.
      City: Clovis

Tips: Large or preferred small red senkos. Weightless with the big ones and a small bullet on the small ones.

      Water Temp: 49-50deg

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: started main body points...a few missed hits dragging jigs. picked up a few spots on dartheads in 15-20ft. consistently saw fish at 22ft so worked this depth for 3-4 more. moved up south fork and just picked points that everyone else wasn't working. found a good rocky point that transitioned to gravel and picked up 4 more. all these on 1/4oz darthead in both aaron's magic and morning dawn....folsom bass's preferred worms! all good 1.75 - 2 pounders. nice day but had to keep moving. that's funny - work slow but keep moving! and i guess be prepared for the ticket because we heard someone said someone they know reported to the sheriff's dept seeing several bass guys ignoring the 5mph. we also saw a couple of winter jetskiers with roostertails.
      City: folsom

Tips: just because the electronics don't show fish doesn't mean they're not there. keep draggin' the dartheads and finesse jigs. brother's first few hits were all jigs. then he did a length-wise wacky with the head in line with the darthead and that worked for our last 4. 10-20ft and some inlets. bites are soft and not always obvious. hurry up spring!! wanna crank!!!
