Anderson Lake
-
Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished for 3 hrs 1:30-4:30. I had the same luck as PapaJohn's report - nada, nothing, not a bite. In 53deg water I only fished 2 lures - football head hula grub jig and drop shot. I targeted points ans steep drops, all the normal places fish would be for these conditons. I found nothing up shallow even with the rising water. As I moved out to 38-40ft of water the sonar came alive with fish. I dropped right on their heads and drug my baits though them and nothing.
City: Foster CityTips: I have fished this lake in the winter months and had very little luck. Wait until the water temp starts to warm and then get on it. If you want good winter fishing try Comanche.
-
Water Temp: 55
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Skunked.
Tried dropshotting robo worms and C-rigged brush hogs. No takers. Saw another boat pull in a couple of dinks.
The good news is the lake has risen considerably since my last visit. The top of the "island" off the main lake point to the left of the launch ramp that was 10' above the water is now 15' deep.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 53 - 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Saturday, 2/13/10 my buddy and I tried to launch at Capell cove. The parking lot was completely full and flowing over to the road by 8:30. We decided, along with another friend with his boat, to launch at one of the private ramps. Wow, the launch fee was $26.25! I asked about this high fee and was told it was set by the Bureau of Reclamations. I was hoping that after the other resorts open, the competition would lower the price. According to Berryessa E-News,
Tips: Fish on sunny side of rocky points using 4-inch worms. Keep changing colors to find one that works.
-
Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: First trip after the rains looks like the lake came up around 12ft withs very good water color. My plan for the day was to run with cranks all day and I stuck with it for most of the time. With the water color I started with a chart. and blue LC Flat 12. this produced only 2 fish in 2 hours of cranking one 2.25 and one 2.75lbs. Kind of a sirprize thought the crank bite would be better. Changed over to a Jackall muscle deep in a craw color this is a new bait for me and I have a feelinf this is going to be a good one only 1 fish on it after over a hour but it was a good one over 4 lbs. Decided to stop cranking for awhile and cought 4 on a mojo brushhog. best 5 around 11.5lbs.
City: VacavilleTips: Overall it was a tough bite with the weather and the rising water I thought the reaction bite would be on but I think they just have not really moved yet. They seem to be holding in a winter pattern but this will change soon. I have seen this before all the grass is now out in 12-20feet and the bass will stick in it until the water warms to around 57.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 55 - 60
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Finally the first trip out for the year. Ouch!! $173 for annual launch pass out of Ladd's / Buckley Cove with City of Stockton. I worked the main channel all the way back to the back end of 14 Mile Slough to behind Garlic Brothers. Jigs, Spinnerbaits, cranks, and plastics were all tried with out even a bite. Slow, slow, slow, and slower presentations. The water clarity just needs to improve. Garlic Brothers hit 60 degrees by mid afternoon.
City: StocktonTips: Look for clearer water and warmer temps

Camanche Lake
-
Water Temp: 54 was the warm
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: it was a pretty good day. Fished a club tournament Sacramento Bass Wranglers 12 boats. We finished 3rd with 13.86 and our big fish was 3.86. Winning weight was 14.20 and second place at 14 even with big fish of the tourney being 4.10. We used darter head, drop shot, carolina rig, jigs to catch our fish. We fished all off shore structure. from 15-30ft of water.
City: SacTips: Fish slow, cast and put your hand in your pocket and drag your bait. With the weather warming up fishing should only get better. Also Sacramento Bass Wranglers Club we are currently looking for new members. For more information email. sacbasswrangler@aol.com

Casitas Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out for the 1st time this year, had a pretty good day. Started off slow in the morning only sticking four fish 2-3pds on a 1 ton jig with twin trailer. Between 10-12 the bite turned on! Stuck a 6.32 on a senko, 4.02 on a drop shot, and several 2-3pd spots on senkos and drop shot. Caught all the fish in two areas.
If you can find them, your in for a good day. For those who can't, call me and I'll take you out. Remember, just cause you can't get em, doesn't mean they're not bitting!
City: modestoTips: Don't bash on those who can actually go out and catch fish, it makes you look bad to everyone else that can catch them!

-
Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 49-51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Only fished from 2PM-4PM and followed Deep V's tips from last weeks report and finessed 2 spots (1.8# and 2.6#) in the South Fork. Friend of mine was catching them in North Fork last week.
City: Cameron ParkTips: Watch out for some white bass boats (Triton & Ranger). They are not obeying the 5 mph and kept running back in forth (obviously not on fish and too cool to abide the speed limit). I saw them almost collide into each other coming around a bend. Not sure which is worse, jet skiers or negligent bass fishermen doing 70 mph?
-
Water Temp: 50-52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Zero, zip, skunked, nada'gd'thing. Completely opposite last weekend. Saw fish at various depths but just couldn't figure it out. Windy in the morning and thought that would score on the windy points...zero, zip, skunked, nada...tried darthead, finesse jig, dropshot, tiny swimbait...everything that worked last weekend... zero, zip, skunked, nada..oh, I guess I said that already. Well, such is life trying to catch bass at Folsom Lake.
City: folsom, caTips: I guess keep trying...saw the bassers head straight to south fork but also saw them working same main lake points..so did we. Favorite areas were zero, zip, skunked, nada (sorry, just had to say it again)...I'm pretty sure the pro-ams caught..hope one or more of them post something.

Good time for us. Was off the water at 5:35.
City: San JoseTips: Morning dawn 6" worms on 1/8oz dart head very slow in 10' to 15'

Don Pedro Lake
-
Water Temp: 52-56deg
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A interesting day of fishing for sure, I fished the CBC today and it was a well ran event! I did not place well but did manage to figure out some fish with lil to no time at ths lake. Don Pedro has far more Smallmouth Bass than I had any idea! I knew there was a few in there, but there's more than that! Many fish released were smallies. And some spotted bass too! If your looking to fun fish try small tubes or a split shot and drag it slow! The bite is light so be ready! Pockets or creek guts with 10-30 feet of water and chunk rock are holding these smallies. Points that look like Large Mouth heaven are hoding Smallies and Spotties. If you are to try for Largemouth try the ugly banks with clay and a mud line shallow with a Shakey head or a senko. This weather will bring the largemouth up!
City: Elk GroveTips: SLOW!

-
Pinto Lake
-
Water Temp: 55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

City: watsonvilleTips: take your time its a small lake...to those who aint getting bit, dont get mad...just keep fishing .there are alot of big fish here you just gota take the time and find them.if you dont get nuthing, chances are you need to analyze what your doing wrong cuz whatever it is its keeping you away from good bass

Camanche Lake
-
Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Put a friend on some of my spots last weekend for a club tourney. They used the same set up as me and Scott.Sinkos in the watermelon black flake / Jigs in brown with green pumpkin twin tails. Along with a drop shot. They took first place with 12.65 lb, not as much wait as me and Scott had the week before but they got in to a lot of fish. This is a awesome lake with lots of fish, but like all lake you have to put your time in on the water and find them.
City: GaltTips: Put your time in on the water before you doubt others report. I put my time in on this lake for 15+ years and there is still days I don't do that well. Tight lines and happy fishing
