      Water Temp: 77

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My partner Dan and I got out earlier than usual and were on the water before sun up. We started catching them immediately on spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and a chatterbaits in dark colors. When the sun hit the water we went to the deep water points. A #6 hog sucked in a black beaver a few feet from shore on the fall and broke Dans net when he tried to nab it, but we wrestled it into the boat. We picked up a few more stragglers junk fishing. The fish were still stacked in the 13 ft. depth (the edge of the weed lines) and we started cranking over them with kermits squeeze so that they would just hit the top of the submerged grass. It ticked off the bigger bass and we boated 2 more fish in the 6 pound range, plus several quality fish. Then.... the water skiers came out and we called it a day.
      City: auburn

Tips: Slow didnt excite them at all today. The faster the better, and a couple small fish came when we were ripping the baits back in for the next cast.

Report: Fished Potato Slough starting at 8:00 a.m. Caught 6 bass to 2.5 lbs. using zipper worm and MM-III. All but one caught 2-3 hours after high tide between the rocks and the weed line on rocky banks with scattered tules. Also tried frogs and cranks in various colors but did not get any takers.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Started out at first light and ran towards the damn. Fished main lake points with only one fish. Caught it on a small wakebait above 10 feet of water. I then decided to run up the North fork and try a few spots. Caught one fish near surmeged rocks in about ten feet of water, again on a reaction bait(lipless crank). I noticed a lot of bait suspended in 10 feet of water near the 40 foot level. Still a lot of boat traffic. Water level nearing the 400 foot level and the lake will then be 5mph. I tried swimbaits, wakebaits, spinnerbaits, worms both shaky head as well as dart head in MM and Sexy shad, 8inch grubs in watermelon but missed a few fish(i think they were small), I also threw lipless crank in red eye shad. I did not throw the jig and hindsite now I wished I would have at least tried. Fished in water from 10 feet out to 40 feet. Talked with a couple of gentlemen and tehy only had three fish with a couple of missed bites. Slow day again for me on this lake. I also saw the sheriff sitting in the middle of the south fork monitoring traffic and boat regulations I am sure. Probably due to the labor day weekend.
      City: EDH

Tips: Just go out and fish, mark low level areas for future use.

Report: Girlfriend and I on the water early. Tossed Jackall DD ripbaits in shad colors. Wacked'em pretty good. Eleven stripers went home with us, seven keeper LMB, also on ripbaits and top water. Five biggest for around 16 lbs, girlfriend big fish was a tad over four lbs.
      City: Sun City

Tips: Fish ripbaits near grass beds, next to deep water. Toss top water over islands and humps. Long cast get more bites, spooky fish...

      Water Temp: 71

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took the family on a two day RV trip. Stayed at Snug Harbor with a dock just 40 feet away from the RV. The morning bite was better than the evening. I caught fish on a super spook and 1/2 oz jig. When things got slow I tried using a flick shake worm and caught several shaker small mouth bass and one nice keeper small mouth. No blacks bass over 2.5 lbs., but I did miss a huge blow-up on a spook yesterday morning, wish I hooked him. Total bass over two days was 12. Lots of blue gil for the kids and a few carp for a good fight.
      City: Millbrae

Tips: First time fishing north Delta and it seemed that the fish where relating more to the trees in the water than rocks and weeds.

      Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Tough day on the water...started late about 0900. worked the south shallows with a swimbait...no luck. Moved to the dam and threw every crank bait I had with no lukc. Worked the wall with a dropshot and no luck. Finally found a few hogs in the shallows east of the dam. Only one hook up...2 lb smallie. It was good to be on the water but bass fishing was slow.

Tips: Eventhough water temp is up, check the shallows.

Report: Decided to go for a hike and brought along a couple of rods. Did'nt expect to much since I got a late start, and it was about 80 degrees at 10:30 am. Third cast landed a 2.3 pounder on a senko. Ended up with 6 fish total including a 1.7 on a crankbait and another 2.6 the senko. Not bad for an hour and a half of fishing.

      Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the back end of Skier's Cove for cats and bass for about 6 hours yesterday from the shore. No luck with the bass, was trying constantly around weed beds and drop offs with a red brush hog on a texas rig for about 3.5 hours. The bass bite has been sluggish recently at the lake, along with most of the other fish. We did nab a 4-6 lb. cat about 8:15 pm, but only after we switched from mackerel on our cat rigs to a few of the freshwater clams we found along the shoreline.
      City: Napa

Tips: Give the clams a try, I know I definitely will again. Also, actively searching for bass might be futile until the bite picks up and conditions improve. My advice for Berryessa, come out with cat rigs and your favorite bait, bring some beer and your buddies, and have a nice relaxing day.

Report: Potato slough was the plan of attack for my girlfriend and I. So we were on the water at 5:15am throwing frogs and prop baits. A lot of small fish and a few 3lb fish. I Switched to a crawfish pattern speed trap and she tossed a jointed shad pattern rapala and we worked rock levee's and out side weed lines. Hooked up with another five fish in the next 2 hrs. I never put the prop bait away all day I picked that bait up though out the day a caught two more nice fish in the heat of the day around old wood docks. We had a good day together.

      City: Madera

Tips: Fish are everywhere. Caught them as deep as 20ft and as shallow as 2ft. No shorts. Lots of 2-2.5 lb fish. Brushhogs and stick worms today. Water still has fine algae particles. Go with green pumpkin and darker colors. Find structure.
