Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Brannan Isle from 6:00AM - 1:00PM. Only caught one dink on a craw-colored crankbait in first 10 minutes, used soft plastics rest of the day with no luck, should have used crankbait or spinnerbait. Ended up catching a few small stripers on cut bait, just to feel something on my line...LOL!

Water Temp: 70's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of B&W, headed towards Frank's and ended up fishing a speed trap on the south side of the Tract on some rip-rap and boated 5 or so keeper largies to 2.5lbs. Ran up to sycamore and stuck 10 more on a laminate 6" senko to 3.5lbs.
City: EGTips: Good day considering I got to fish out of my buddies skeeter(Thanks Jon). Watch out for the boys fishin' the FLW their all over the place!!!!

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Great advice man! Also thanks for the tips on saturday. I just ordered some punch skirts. Can't wait for them to get here. For sure next month if you guys do have a small tournament again give me a call. Thanks for giving my boy and I some advice on Saturday. He ended up catching 2 small bass on the drop shot rig you showed us. Made his day. Thank you Sir!
City: AntiochTips: Don't be afraid to ask for help even if your out fishing. Anglers are awesome.

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Had a 11 boat tourny out there. Several guys came in with a 5 limit or less(2 or more). Most fish were produced on senco's . Guys punching mats came in @ 5 fish limits also. But they reported they worked extremly hard for the fish. Saw a lot of bass guys out there too. With the national guard out the pressure is definitley on! Look for mats they are ideal but not over fished. The pressure is on! National guard will be pounding mats so if you could resist these guys got a huge purse on the line, let's leave this to the pro's and figure out something else this coming weekend. Definitly a good weekend just to get out and watch these guys duke it out. Remember guys let's keep our distance. Bub tosh's paycheck skirts with the sweet beaver or any other plastic will work great. Good luck trying to find a Mat not already beaten. I'll focus on stripers this weekend and leave the bass to the pros.
City: Elk groveTips: Great time to start paying attention to the national hairdos tournament and see what these pro guys are doing. The winner gonna definitly have a trick up his sleeve. Keep your distance if you happen to be out.

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: dropshottin 7 inch sencos is possible wacky rig them on a drop shot i've done this. I did it at clear lake and yes there was a pig caught on it, 5 lbs. it depends on the lake certain fish like big profile and certain fish like small profile. yes a 7 inch senco sinks hella fat you gotta keep it movin in a natural way.
City: sacTips: look more into the lake before you fish it. the more knowledge the better chances you have on putting a pattern together.

Report: Had a great day on Lake Piru from the shoreline, but becareful they are letting out a ton of water and the shorelines are very soft and muddy.I started out with a buzzbait and got a 2 pounder right away and that was it. So I broke out a Ima Skimmer I got from the U.S.Open and it was on, I caught 10 bass on this bait until noon. My biggest bass was about 2.8 and I did see one angler get on on a white spinnerbait. So a good day from the shore. tight lines, Chief

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launch the boat at 6:15 just before sunrise at Big Break Marina. The tide was going down and we still had a good four hours until it bottomed out. We started on a weedy flat just outside the marina. I was throwing a Lunker Punker and David was using a popper. About 15 minutes into the day, David misses a good sized striper on the popper. Not more than a couple minutes later, I see a guy fly fishing about 100 ft. away from me miss an absolute monster. It looked like someone dropped a VW Bug in the water. David then catches a couple 2lb largemouth on the popper. We then move to the mouth of Little Big Break. I catch a 9lb striper on the Lunker Punker. Just as the tide starts pushing back in at around noon we move to the ship wreck and catch a half dozen schoolie stripers on Rattle Traps. They were all about 18 inches long. By about 12:30 the light breeze we had in the morning shut down, and the surface was now glassy calm. We tried fishing some of the weed beds out in the middle of Big Break, but had no luck. By 2:30 we were in the middle part of the incoming tide and it became quite hot out. We switched gears and decided to pull out the flipping rods and target largemouth bass. Punching Sweet Beavers and Paycheck Jigs, we catch 5 more bass fishing Iron House and Emerson slough

Water Temp: 70-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: My first Delta excursion, and I was successful to some extent, so hooray. Followed around my neighbor and his buddy, just getting a feel for the waters.
Fished mainstem Moke and sloughs, top end of Franks a little bit of Whites and a bit of stuff in between. Lots of rats on spinnerbaits, probly half a dozen keepers, a 3.5 and a couple 2.5+. Keeprs pretty much evenly split between Spinnerbaits, Swim jig and Beaver.
Hopefully the bite will pick up in a couple weeks if the bass start railing the shad (saw LOTS of those today!)
City: LincolnTips: Spinnerbait for numbers and the lucky big fish. Plastics bite seems slow, and nothing on the frog.

Spring Lake
-
Water Temp: Warm
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out around noon, just walking around lake. First fish was a fat little guy off the lifeguard dock (What I call the "U" dock) no bigger than 9 or 10 inches, but pretty chubby. Caught it on a texas rigged 7" MM Roboworm. Then long casted a chartreuse "tail-spinner" towards the rental boat "pilings" with a steady-fast retrieve and hooked a nice 2.5-3.5 pounder that kicked off the crappy treble hook about a foot from shore and swam off. I followed that with it's baby that was barely big enough to eat the bait. The guy next to me was fly fishing and pulling in crappie after crappie, starting the fly about 10 feet off the shore in the sun and working it back to the shade; he would get the bite shortly after the fly passed from sun to shade.
City: Rohnert ParkTips: First off, get on the water if you can... Otherwise look for structure with access to deepish water and that provides shade (docks, over hanging limbs/bushes, etc). Try to cast under it or just on the outside.
PS: I have an 11 ft inflatable raft (with floor boards, and soon to have a trolling motor) and I am looking for new fishing partners. Send me an email and tell me a little bit about yourself if you want to go fishing sometime.

Anderson Lake

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: An unusual September storm just passed a couple days ago. We were faced with post frontal conditions, but it was still quite warm for being 8:30 in the morning. There was absolutely no wind and the water was quite clear. Our first stop was on a big weedy flat that had a nice ledge that broke off ito the main lake channel. A few bass were busting bait, but they would not hit any of the topwater baits we threw at them. I should have maybe scaled down the size of out lures. The baitfish the bass were chasing were relatively small. Throwing a Norman Deep Little N crankbait we catch a few 13 inchers. Moving north up the lake, we stop on another big flat which had some isolated rock piles. Fishing a jig we catch two more small ones. After being flat calm all day, the wind finally kicked up at around 1pm. We went back to the spot we started the morning and caught about 10 more bass in about half an hour. Most of the fish were suspended, so dropshoting a prism shad 6

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: dont give jim such a bad time,it may be as he says,I think he exagerates a little as most fishermen do except me of course. The fishing is pretty good right now and getting better.Me and my buddies have been cathing 12 to fifteen fish a day up to 3lbs in 20 to 40ft on plastics on main lake humps for the last three weeks,.Limits are running about 13 to 14lbs.If you had a seven and a five and three more fives you'd have 27 as jim stated. ha ha.
City: c.hghts -
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Everyone who reads these Folsom reports is laughing--unfortunately, at you. I understand you've been banned from WB before... it may be getting close to that time again.
This isn't the right way to get attention.Tips: I know are a fair number of very good Folsom sticks who are not having days anywhere close to what you are reporting. Cut the BS, okay?

Los Vaqueros Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: If you aren't targeting stripers on the Brentwood side, you are missing out! "Punkers" off the points are the ticket at sunrise. After sun up, "trout" basstrix on a spintrix head fished slowly on the bottom gets the thumbs up! 3 fish from 6-13 lbs. for the day. You don't need a boat, but make the hike...a long hike...well worth it!
City: AntiochTips: Punkers and swimbaits off points that have deep water on at least 1 side....

Bass tournament people most of been there b4 I did. Saw a lot of kids in back of the boat fishing n it remind me of my old man n the OLD DAYS but we didn't have boat back then. I didn't cut infront of anyone but others did but it's understandable. They had a tournament to win.

Calero Reservoir

Water Temp: ??
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Have not seen a report here for Calero, so decided to check it out on my own. Made a visit to folks in San Jose, but on the way back spent a few hours walking bank at Calero. Hardly anyone there. Fished from 3-5:30pm and caught 5 fish. First one was a nice 3lb fish caught on a Yamamoto Hula Grub. Caught it less than 7 feet from bank. I got many hits close - like a foot or more from bank... thought they were panfish until i connected with one... a nice little 1-1/2lb fish. Switched out to a baby brush hog - caught 2 more. Went to a worm and caught a couple more. A few further out, but most fish literally 2-3 ft from shore in shallow water. Saw lots of baitfish and birds and fished those areas. Tried frogs in weeds, but no takers. Plastics the ticket. Can't wait to come back in the B-Boat for a full day of action.
City: Pacific GroveTips: Shallow. Plastics. I worked them faster than usual and that was the ticket. The cooler nights is turning this lake back on. In about 3-4 weeks, this place will be rocking with the full on fall bite.
