California Delta
-
Water Temp: 70-72
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The Stockton "Ports" baseball Team and a fan got a day on the Delta. The California BASS Federation Nation volunteers launched out of Ladds this morning and I headed up river near 14 mile slough. Stayed on the main body of water all morning using the Black/Blue Senko in the tules and when the tide went out we fished out side the weeds. Our morning was good, lost four 4-5 pounders at the boat but boated three nice larggies. The morning ended up with 15 to the boat. With the full moon the fish still were going all day, never stoped catching.
City: RocklinTips: Use also horney todds and Senkos, fish slow and wait.

Folsom Lake

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: fished monday am in south fork with nothing, decided to go way up north fork and target some smallies, ended up catching a few spots on a crankbait off the steep walls
City: diamond springsTips: none, very tough bite
-
Water Temp: 66-71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Monday morning. Pretty windy early with a south wind. Made the peninsula tough to fish. Water is very high, so the lake looks really different. Never found the pattern. Plastics didn't work from 10-20ft. depth, where I focused. Got one spot on 4" worm up in NY Cove (stained water in there) in 10ft. about 2 lbs., the standare Folsom bass. That was the only bite! Fished steep banks, rocky areas and trees. Nada going on for me. Most excitement was watching the dirt haulers carving out the new spillway. There is a fancy tower on a hydraulic lift that says "Sheriff" on it, and a sheriff's SUV parked there. What is that for? Seems like a waste of money that we don't have these days!

Merced Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished this morning for a couple of hours at impoundment with a float tube. No bites on on a senko, weather was overcast and breezy. Never had much luck with bass on any of these lakes, but will keep trying cuz I know that they are there (at least that's what I hear..LOL!)
City: PacificaTips: Would appreciate any tips on fishing these lakes.

Water Temp: 67.4
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished out of redbud. Tons of algae in the water. Boat ramp was nasty...spent hours cleaning the boat and trailer when I got home. Fishing was decent. Caught a few using sinkos and brush hogs...nothing to brag about.
I am moving to Colorado for the military...anyone know anything about bass fishing there?

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 5:45am to 8:30 throwing spooks and big blade spinners across points and shallow dead end coves. Caught and released 8 bass to 3 lbs. Moved out to deep rocky points in 15 to 25 feet of water and throw drop shots and crank baits for another 6 bass. Home by noon.
City: NapaTips: Fish those spooks slooow... I have not had very good luck in and around weed beds. The fish seem to be ambushing shad if you can find them. Every small school of shad I came across I caught or missed a few fish before the shad disapered.

Camp Far West Lake
-
Water Temp: 73-75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got a late start, on the lake at 1100. Cloud cover was still abundant. Got to my first spot and caught best fist 2.5lb spot on a shallow diving crank bait. Bout 40min later caught final bass of the day on ghost colored on LV500, went 14.25in in length, not huge but a great fight! Other than that caught a nice bluegill on a drop shot. Lots of bait fish in coves and on the edges of points near trees. With all the available food, the fish were not really interested in my offerings. It was good to get back on the water though, it's been 11 months since my last outing.
City: Plumas LakeTips: None to speak ofBring on the clouds, and the reaction strike that usually goes with it!

Kelsey Bass Ranch Lake
-
Water Temp: 69-71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: fished the ranch yesterday for the "Take a Special Person Fishing Day" and had a blast. My buddy and I really enjoyed taking our special person out on the lake.Watching her catch fish was really amazing. If you guys ever have the chance to do something like that, do it! It can change peoples lifes!
City: modestoTips: a lot of fish on plastics and a few nice fish on frogs
-
-
Lake of the Pines
-
Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: fished the evening bite with my buddy Dan.
We caught a few early on with flukes and c.b.'s, but most of the bigger fish came around midnight on a pale cordell, on back to back to back to back cast We finally caught some very small fish out of this lake.... but the best 5 went close to #20. Probably close to 30 fish total.
City: auburnTips: The weeds are hit and miss through out the lake. Throw something that you can run slowly just over the top of them. A rattletrap seems to move to fast to keep it in the zone for em, and jerkbaits haven't gotten me any big fish yet.
