Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 67.4
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished out of redbud. Tons of algae in the water. Boat ramp was nasty...spent hours cleaning the boat and trailer when I got home. Fishing was decent. Caught a few using sinkos and brush hogs...nothing to brag about.
I am moving to Colorado for the military...anyone know anything about bass fishing there?

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 5:45am to 8:30 throwing spooks and big blade spinners across points and shallow dead end coves. Caught and released 8 bass to 3 lbs. Moved out to deep rocky points in 15 to 25 feet of water and throw drop shots and crank baits for another 6 bass. Home by noon.
City: NapaTips: Fish those spooks slooow... I have not had very good luck in and around weed beds. The fish seem to be ambushing shad if you can find them. Every small school of shad I came across I caught or missed a few fish before the shad disapered.

Report: Started fishing in Middle river around noon and I got some very small fish on senkos, drop shot and Jerkbaits. (beggining of incoming tide), got stuck into shallow water and have to wait untill the water rises a bit hehehe.
At the afternoon, foshed at Franks and got some about 3 keepers and a 3 pounder, all on flipping a Yamamoto crawdad. Lost more 3.
City: Walnut CreekTips: I need some tip too hehehehe.

Camp Far West Lake
-
Water Temp: 73-75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got a late start, on the lake at 1100. Cloud cover was still abundant. Got to my first spot and caught best fist 2.5lb spot on a shallow diving crank bait. Bout 40min later caught final bass of the day on ghost colored on LV500, went 14.25in in length, not huge but a great fight! Other than that caught a nice bluegill on a drop shot. Lots of bait fish in coves and on the edges of points near trees. With all the available food, the fish were not really interested in my offerings. It was good to get back on the water though, it's been 11 months since my last outing.
City: Plumas LakeTips: None to speak ofBring on the clouds, and the reaction strike that usually goes with it!

Kelsey Bass Ranch Lake
-
Water Temp: 69-71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: fished the ranch yesterday for the "Take a Special Person Fishing Day" and had a blast. My buddy and I really enjoyed taking our special person out on the lake.Watching her catch fish was really amazing. If you guys ever have the chance to do something like that, do it! It can change peoples lifes!
City: modestoTips: a lot of fish on plastics and a few nice fish on frogs

-
Lake of the Pines
-
Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: fished the evening bite with my buddy Dan.
We caught a few early on with flukes and c.b.'s, but most of the bigger fish came around midnight on a pale cordell, on back to back to back to back cast We finally caught some very small fish out of this lake.... but the best 5 went close to #20. Probably close to 30 fish total.
City: auburnTips: The weeds are hit and miss through out the lake. Throw something that you can run slowly just over the top of them. A rattletrap seems to move to fast to keep it in the zone for em, and jerkbaits haven't gotten me any big fish yet.

Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 71-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started off throwing lipless hung a nice over fish on about third cast threw it about a half hour longer for nothing. Picked up the staysee 90 hung one fish that unbuttoned early felt like a nice fish. Back seat was throwing top water not even a swirl. We both switched plastics and caught 10 or so 14"ish fish.(dart head) Finished the day throwing wake baits and couldn't keep them off. Ended around 20. Not near as good as I thought it would be. But I suck at finesse fishing, my line for the day was, "I should of set the hook that was a fish". Wife caught a nice Lg Mouth on wake bait. Not the best day fishing but better then a kick in the seat. oh ya also through a spinnebait got a few bumps but nothing would commit.
City: Yuba CityTips: pumpkin colored worms and set the steel when ever you feel anything, they were barely grabbing the baits.

Sonoma Lake
-
Water Temp: 72 - 76
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: On Saturday, 6/6/09, I fished the back seat of my buddy
Tips: Try top water early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
I also want to thank the Corp of Engineers for clearly marking the cables hooked to the dock. As I mentioned in a previous report, another fishing buddy of mine tripped on one of the cables and fractured his arm. After he talked to a manager at the lake about the safety issue, they responded back to him within an hour that they had painted and marked the cables to make them more visible. Thanks again for making the rapid safety improvement.

Report: Launched outta Ladds about 3pm headed out and fist two stops were on new water iv been trying. First stop my buddy looses a small one on a senco, second stop i pick up the wake bait and smash a 7.1 and a 7.6 back to back, after that the sun reared its ugly head again and dint get touched on the wake bait again. Caught one more small one on a swimbait and called it a day.
City: modestoTips: That was about the fourth time we fished that water, we never got touched before this so if your blowing by water that ya think ya might wanna fish on your way to your regular water, make that stop and give it a shot!

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 71-74
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Friday from about 2pm until dark. Wind was nasty so we looked for cover. fished the south end from bass alley to Cache creek....nothing happening. Finally found them up by Jago and Henderson. All fish were on the outside weed lines in about 5-8 feet of water, especailly if there was a dock piling. Senko was the ticket....threw all kinds of reaction for nothing. All fish were 2-3 lbs. Caught 10-12 each before heading in. got back out on the lake early Saturday morning and found a nice topwater bite with a baby bass spook jr. Caught 7-8 before they stopped hitting the spook. Middle of the day was slow, with an occasional fish on a senko or Margarita Mutilator Roboworm. Found a couple fish on a rock pile with a jig. Found a couple more flipping way back in some tullies. Missed one on a frog, and that was the only action I hade with Kermit. The bite was definately slower on Saturday. Last couple fish came on a DT 10 crankbait off a point. Only reaction fish of the trip.
City: SacramentoTips: Throw a spook in the morning! Switch to plastics and jigs during the day. Look for clearer water. The water farther down south was really murcky and didn't produce as good.

Water Temp: 69-71
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Sometimes, amazing happns! Didn't know what to expect with the weird weather lately. I was helping a fellow prepare for an up-coming night tourny. We fishing below the narrows which is all I can say. We were surprised at now good the early evening and night bite was - 17 in the 2 hrs before dark and 11 after dark. And his fish total was 17 out of the 28 we caught. A few in the 1 3/4 to 2 lb range, but the rest were good quality - several in the 4 lb range. We were a few ounces shy of 20 lbs for our 5 best. Found some as deep as 20 feet this trip.
City: Yuba CityTips: Weeds, weeds, weeds! It seems one can cast any where and there will be bass - because the bass and ANYWHERE!! Mo more "docks and rocks!" The Piranha swim jig started working again last night, though it was tough in the weeds. Had to pick your spots. I wasted a lot of time fishing all sorts of topwater, trying to force a bite. Conditions were just not good for that - but I did win one on a very long cast - a near 4 pounder on a white D&M buzzbait.
