Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 77,,,,80
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Weather wise lake Berryessa was still Hot, Hot, Hot. It was so hot that I elected
to stay on the dock in the shade which was still Hot!!!! My buddy Albert came to
join me on Saturday and we spent most of the day catching catfish and carp. Our
largest catfish that day was 8.6 lbs on Albert's scale. The fish were busting all
around us. Michelle and her husband came down to the dock to fish with us and she
landed a first for me. She landed a large muskrat which we netted and within ten
seconds it ate through the net completely and was gone. Sorry Albert we know that
was your favorite net!!!! On Sunday I fished at the dock again (another hot day) and
I was joined by Blake and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend said he would show her how to
catch fish and when the score was three to nothing in Blake's favor she told him she
would give him lessons. It was Blake's birthday which may account for her good luck
that day. It was a slow weekend but still a lot of fun. 'til next week.....................

Report: I fished till 1:30 in the morning and nailed three fives on consecutive cast. Then it slowed down. All in all I pulled out 15 fish in about 5 hours. Most came about 20 feet off shore on chatterbaits, but I pulled a couple off the rock piles on beavers in about 10 feet of water. This lake is going to break open in the next 2 weeks. the water is just so warm still.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished outgiong tide started at Decker Island, caught 2, 2lbers on white speed traps on the inside weed line. Moved to Franks area and got 1 4.1 on a watermelon senko 6". Broke off a very large bass who jumped afterwards and shook so hard we could hear the rattles from the rattle trap still stuck in his mouth. At the bottom of the tide we went to white blades and quickly caught 4 fish near a cut in the bank. Two 2's a 3 and one 8+ who I tried to lip cuz I forgot the net and managed to unhook blade instead of grabbing the lip. But we did get to see him...
City: loomisTips: Threw reaction baits most of the day except for 1 senko fish.

Casitas Lake
-
Water Temp: 77
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I had two good days at lake casitas with buzzbaits.first day on the shore and on a boat.I had two big blow- ups by the t dock and caught three in a row with a DEPS Buzzbait. On the boat had a few more blow-ups and caught a couple more bass. Nothing big, biggest maybe 4 pounds. The next day the water looked like it dropped a little. I started on the shore by the log boom in the back of the boat docks and nailed a good 7 pound bass. I moved down the bank by the thick stick-ups and banged out a 9 pounder on my own double buzz. I ran into a friend later that day and he told me the buzz bait bite had died off glad I did not run into him early in the morning.
City: CamarilloTips: I was using Deps Buzzbaits and my own double buzz. I also was using a 8 ft. rouge rods with braid and 20 pound maxima to pull them out of the grass. reel: shimano 300dsv. Most of the fish were by grass with stick-ups.The bites were by the grass with stick-ups.

Report: Had fish active in the early a.m. fishing special areas from days gone by. Did not have swimbaits then. What a differance now, quality was the word of the morning with average fish being various five pounders. Some bigger and some smaller. Using special swimbait of average size.
Tips: Find the current in the main body with no ripple on the surface.

Report: Fished the south lake from 4pm-to 5pm. Caught 1 LM on the dock casting right passed weeds. Had a vicious bite off my gravedigger crank. Had it for about 3-4 seconds till he shook it off.(same spot). Then fished right of the cement block and missed 1 off my jig. :( ... only fished for an hour cuz my son and wife was getting bored.
City: saN FraNcisCOTips: If you only have an hour to fish: *_*

Oroville Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went fishing Wed. night from midnight until 6 am. We started catching fish right away. Caught 19 fish between 2 guys with plenty of other missed fish. Action was fairly steady throughout the night. Caught our fish on jigs and texas rigged worms. Not much action on reaction lures. No size to speak of. Maybe 2 over. Had to leave at sun up so we missed out on some prime fishing time but overall a pretty good night.
City: Y.C.Tips: The ramp is terrible right now. One lane dirt and rutted out pretty bad near the water. Damn near needed 4 wheel drive to get out.

Coyote Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: This probably should be on the forum, but I'm not
registered. What is up with Coyote? Nothing doing since since 6/28 my last trip out.
Is it just summertime blahs? or are the guys who are catching em just not talking.
Email me or post if you have any ideas.
Thanks

Lake of the Pines
-
Water Temp: 79
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: a few cooler nights got the fish to respond to buzzbaits.
My buddy Dan fooled a huge bass into taking his double blade buzzbait, but I think it was dan who got fooled because somewhere out in those waters that bass is still swimming around with a buzzbait piercing in his lips after he broke dan off.
Chatterbaits got a few and big fish for the night (5#).
A few really large fish were lost, but the fish weren't where we expected them to be.
Dan got a few on a big spinnerbait.
City: auburnTips: The very best bites seem to be way late at night or way early in the morning.

Clear Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished North end over the long weekend. Wasn't expecting much given all the negative reports but this is old stomping grounds for me. I wouldn't say it was wide open, but I landed 5 on Sat (7:30-10am), 11 on Sunday (7-10am and 11-1pm), and 6 on Monday (7-10am). Early morning fish came on clown rip bait (5) and zara spook (6). I missed another 4 on the spook. After top water died, I fished pig-n-jig 90% (8) and frog the remainder (3). My 11-year old landed the big fish for the trip - an 8.5 lb on a minnow! My largest was just under 6 but most of my fish were quality in the 3.5-4.5 range. O.k., so where did I get them (the most important question)? Weed lines. Go to the backs of coves and look for SOLID weed lines. Not sparatic ones, but long stretches were it looks like the edge of an underground forest. The fish are just stacked on the edge ambussing the baitfish that come along. I did get my frog fish casting into these weed beds but all my other fish were in front of it.
City: SaratogaTips: See above. Find solid weed lines that are in 6-10 feet of water. The best weed lines I found were over 100 yards from the shore!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
