Water Temp: unknown
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Fishing was good overall. Caught 10 total...Two very large (9+), four (4+), 2 (3+), 2(2+). Fishing last hour of incoming and the other side. Focused on the middle river learning new water that looked good. Caught (9) on jig and (1) on drop shot. Threw chatter, swimbait, and senko without any success. Fished deep rock walls with sparse tulles interspersed. All fish caught in 5-12 feet of water. Total of 12 bites.
City: BrentwoodTips: Caught fish on 3/8 brwn/green combination jig and MMIII drop shot (7 inch). Key with the jig was slow presentation. A couple bites were ferocious but most were subtle pick ups with weight. Key seemed to be finding deep rock that had sparse grass in the 5-10 foot range. Not your typical Spring pattern but cooler weather and poor water clarity told me to think off the bank a bit and it worked. Best 5 was easily 27+ lbs. The two larger fish were both caught in 6-8 feet of water.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: it has slowed down considerably. I caught 7 bass in 2 hours. mostly on c.b.'s.
But I did get one about 5.5 on a home made thingy.
City: auburnTips: the algae blooms have hit the surface in some of the coves in the south with this warm spell, but the fish arent near them. They seem to be in the clearer water at the north end, roaming the flats.

Water Temp: 47-56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Today I wanted to cover a lot of water from the top of the West Branch to the top of the North Fork. The water temp there is about the same, both at about 47. The North Fork was accessable all the way to French Creek but was pretty swift. The West Branch was accsessable just past the narrow walls. We found bass on points going into coves , in the coves and deep outside the coves from 25-35ft. Some of the points had fish holding from 5-10ft. and down to 25-35ft. Ended the day with 40+ but with only 4 over. Most of the bites came on Gitzits tubes in the green pumpkin and clear sparkle and Paradise Tackle jigs with Yamamotto twin tail grubs in brown/purple and green/pumpkin colors. Did not find a reaction bite as a pattern as of yet.
City: ParadiseTips: The fishing is only going to get better with the warmer weather coming this week.

Water Temp: 58-62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My son-n-law and I fished the Police, Fire and Corrections tournement this past week held on the 10th and 11th. 63 teams participated. The best showing ever for this tournement. I first want to again send out a HUGE THANK YOU! to Gene at the Hook in Oakley for the quick repair he did for us on the Minn Kota 101 on Wednesday. You saved our butts Gene. Tuesday afternoon on the way back to B&W we hit a cross wave in the main cannel and sheared the head off the trolling motor. We thought our week was done. But by 10am on Wednesday it was fixed and our week was saved. We were on some pretty good fish in prefish in the Track. At low tide the swimbait bit was ON! On Thursday, first day of the tourney, we started in the Track and by 8am we were culling. First fish,5+. Swimbait! The rest of the day, Senkos. 7" whacky. Until the tide bottomed out then the swimbait bit was back on. At the end of the first day we were in 9th with a little over 22lbs. On Friday we managed another 17+ good enough for a 6th place finish. First place was 58lbs. Thank you Russ Marta for a GREAT tournement. It was our pleasure to pitch in and help. We look forward to next year. Good Times for all. Tom
City: FresnoTips: Low Tide, throw the swimmer, untill then 7" senkos were the ticket for us either watermelon, blk/red flake or purple

Report: after being out of town for 10 days it was nice to come back to see my home lake on fire. Had a tough time with reaction baits early, switched to plastic after a hour and just killed them. Had 7 spots 3 to 3.5 lbs and one four pounder. All the fish were keepers and had about 30 total. Fished til 2:45. Broke off two decent fish that I never saw.
City: Granite Bay Ca.Tips: 10 to 15 ft of water, make long casts as water is gin clear. Fish are every where , just keep bangin the banks and you will find them.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out and rented a boat with a 0-3mph wind, sunny skies, was unsuccessful in getting any bites for about 2 hrs, senko, swimbaits, jig. continued past bass cove, noticed 2 10lbs suspended above some grass. stuck with the senko, and managed to get a bite-big one. set the hook, fight is on for bout 20 sec. then he desides to jump, spit me out. fish would have went 9 or 10 lbs. owell back to dock to call it a day.

Collins Lake

Water Temp: 55-58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: went back to collins today with my son cole and good friend lyle and they along with me got to experience one of the greatest fishing days of my life and the fish of my lifetime (so far) we started dropshoting deep points and brush piles with a few takers then the wind came up so we started chucking huds after losing about five big fish all easily over 6 pounds at about 3:15 on the east side of the lake in about 8 feet of water i hooked and landed the new lake record spotted bass 9 pounds 8 and a half ounces the great news is that after getting her certified and pictures taken she was set free to spawn and maybe break the world record next year she is only 12 ounces shy now you got to love collins
City: grass valleyTips: fish collins lake its an awesome fishery and i lost and had more followers on that huddelston rof 5 than i could count yesterday one we estimated close to12 pounds (largemouth)

Pardee Lake
-
Water Temp: 59-62
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: It was our first time at Pardee and we had a good time. The wind wasn't too bad until 11:00 then it got bad. We didn't get bit fishing normally but then we started seeing beds and we only caught one, 4 pounder male, I know some people don't think it is right to fish for the bedding fish but I feel it is fine as long as you put them back. Went up the river a ways and saw a cove to the right,to get out of the wind, found probly 25 beds in there. We decided to go around 2:00 but on the way in we saw some calm water to the left of the 5 m.p.h. zone when we pulled into the area it looked like the redlight district there were beds everywhere roughly 100. Saw some huge fish but nothing.

Shasta Lake

Water Temp: 49 - 55
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: On a houseboat April 2-6. April 2 we fished the afternoon, caught 30+ nothing bigger than 2 lbs but not too many rats. The best day was Friday, 85 fish, but lots of rats. The two largest 3+ came out of running water 5 ft deep. The other days averaged 40 fish. Any worm worked on a darter, jigs, carolina rigs. The majority of fish still in 25 to 30 ft of water.
Tips: Take a kid, rig up an 082 w/red flk and a chart tail. Texas rig and have em drag it behind the boat as slow as possible in 20 ft of water. They will catch fish.
