Report: Same as yesterday however bite was not on jigs but wacky 3" cut-tails on drop shot rig. had to change because action had slowed, left earl;y at 11:00. Bitye shut off at 8:00 as weather changed a little bit. Tried swimbaits, chatterbaits(i fish) and jigs. No smallies today and only two limits of spots.
      City: sac

Tips: As soon as you see the bite is different cahnge right away for a better creel. Every day can be a different bite and you have to adapt to it. If you are fishing a tourny, go immediately for percentage, forget about other presentations. Bite will change throughout the day, so in your prefishing, try the percentage shots and while prefishing make many different presentations to see what is the deal.

Report: Got on the water at 7AM with Mike Salca owner of Butte Creek tackle and my 7 year old son Zachary. Light wind most of the day. (Whats new) Fished until 445pm. Fished with spider grubs and dart heas for awhile. I stayed with drop shot blue worms. In the PM we switched to senkos in the trout color and were fishing them wacky style weightless in trees or bushes that were in 15-25 feet water. We ended up with approx 50 fish. Two went over three pounds. We probably had 12.5 with our biggest five fish. My son Zack did not boat a fish. He was upset because the day before, we fished a farm pond near the buttes and he caught 24 fish with the biggest going 5 pounds. It is very interesting on a boat with a 7 year old for 10 hours. When I got home I had to hit the MGD to calm my nerves. I'll be needing to restock by drop shot weights and hooks. It seemed like he could not stay out of the rocks(Including the ones on the bank). He had a good time. He would fish every day if he could. Thank you Mike Salca for trip.
      City: Magalia

Tips: Hit the trees in deep water. Use senkos. Take a kid fishing when ever you can. It will be a merory they will never forget.

Report: I fished friday saturday and sunday. Friday I had about 12 lbs on sencos inthe south end.Saturday and Sunday saw lots of bedfish and cruisers but hard to catch.Encouraging to see some quality fish finnaly.still majority of fish are undersized,we will have to keep an eye on numbers of small fish, may have to create another slot limit again since DFG wont.It seemed to work last time.I only had one smallmouth dont know whats happening to them,is anybody else getting any smallys?

Report: Me and my Dad Woke up at the crack o dawn and rented a boat. Tried scow canyon first and stopped at several places. There were fish jumping all over the damn place, one jumped about every minute. These fish couldn't have been trout, they didn't bite on anything. My gess would be that they were carp. ANyway, after trying scow canyon for trout and bass and getting only 2 bites, we moved on. Fished countless other places and finally stopped at Sandy Point. AT sandy point, we caught 7 trout in an hour and a half at around 2:00pm.Thats the thing i hate about san pablo, every time ive gone theres 1 or 2 overcrowded hot spots were u can catch a limit in an hour and the rest of the lake is shit where ur lucky to get 1 bite every hour.I dont know maybe we come here at the wrong time, this lake really frustrates me but it was fun once we started hitting the fish. The fish arent as big as they advertise, average was like 15 inches(which is not bad i geuss) but the damn website makes it sound like avergage fish is 3 pounds. All in all, a frustrating day at first, but turned out to be okay.
      City: San Francisco

Tips: This lake is definatley worth sum time and can be very productive, But Dont always come here, its hard to know how the fishing will be.DONT ALWAYS TRUST THE WEBSITE!

Report: hit the water today at 10:00 and fished until 6:00. only one fish for a days worth of work. i DID throw swimbaits a lot so that explains part of it but i threw shakey heads, dropshots, and chatterbaits too, with no takers - held back on the senko. finally got a 4-09 at 5:15 on a huddlebug. i was hoping for a lot better day since the temps are starting to rise and the full moon is this week.
      City: Orinda

Tips: i have none. i'm "looking" for some for this lake.

Report: My boat was out of the water for over a month and I couldn't wait to go fishing. The boat ran great and the bass were very willing. I took my 12yr. old nephew and my brother. I really wanted to teach my nephew some bass catching techniques. I started him throwing a Senko and within a short time he caught a 3. in Yorty behind the island off a tree. We then proceeded to move to the mouth of Cherry and my brother stuck two 2 lb. on a 6" Oxblood texas rig glass n brass. So far so good but no fish for me yet, so we found some more submeged trees and brush and I stuck a 3.5 on the same Oxblood worm. I tried to teach my nephew how to fish a worm up in the front of the boat with me and after a few misses and a few snags I decided to let him fish alone from the back with a 5" Green Pumpkin senko. Right off the bat he yells I got a fish and out of the water comes a 4lb that spit out the senko. I instructed my nephew that he has to set the hook before reeling next time. Boy did he catch on quick. He proceeds to catch 8 more bass 2 to 3 lbs while my brother nails a nice 4.5. I said enough of this and started throwing a senko myself and caught a 4 and many 2's and 3's. It was a great day for all of us catching 24 with best 5 going 18lbs. Now is the time to take a kid fishing. You will catch alot and make a kid happy.

Report: Had a fun day with a newby bass fisherman. Showed him how to deal with spooky bedding bass and he caught about a dozen with the largest almost 4 lbs. Other than the nesting smallies, wood in the water seemed to be the key. There isn't much of it, and all the fish in any given area are really keying on it after the sun has been on the water for a while.

Report: Fished a tournament on Sat the 28th of April in the central delta area and the winning weight was 35+ lbs all fish caught on beds. I agree with the last post about boat traffic and boat responsibility. Lots of boats, wave runners and jet skiers that just don't have a clue about boat safety. Made it down right dangerous to come in off the water even the marina's were difficult to get boat in safely. I wish I could say the same and not come back until the fall but I fish tournaments on Saturday's and don't have a choice but to show...Where's the Law when you need them?
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Be careful that's all I have to say and allow enough travel time to make it in to weight-ins safely...Good luck!

Water Temp: 62 up to 74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: launched at rivers end marina in Byron around 7:30. Ran up past clifton caught a few with blades and plastic. then decided to take a ride and find discovery bay. I have only fished the Delta a few times so wanted to explore. Found it and saw some carp action off Indian slough. Cast the weed line just in front of the action and my friend Doug hooks a 6.5 #er. Headed into the dock areas and started a steady pick around the back side of the docks in the shade. Sat was a hot day 95 according to my outside temp gauge, and water temp was 74 around the docks. fished Senkos in black and red around the docks. Ended up with over 35 fish for the two of us. Several 3 and 4 pounders.
      City: SF

Tips: I do not think I will fish the Delta any weekends between now and fall. To many drunk wake boarders and boats that should be on the ocean flying around corners putting up huge wakes. Makes traveling very dangerous. Most of these people have no boating training or courtesy.

Report: On the water around 6:15 out of Clear Lakes Oaks and immediately started cranking along the walls and 2nd cast 4 pounder, 4 cast anoter 4 pounder, 3 or 4 cast last another solid 3 plus then I lost the crank bait tryied others with some results but just not the same. Color does matter!
used jerk baits as well with some results then switched up to jig and stayed with that patter all day with a total of at least 50 fish and I was off the water by 3. I feel it could have been a 100 fish day if I would have stayed until dark. Mainly worked south end and the narrows. A lot of success working that jig slow. Biggest fish of the day 5.03 with at least 20 4-5 pounds and the rest between 3 & 4 pounds with out 1 under 2.5 and only a hand full that went between 2.5 and 3. What a great fishery!

Report: The water is starting to green up with this warm weather. Basin BassMasters was on the water for the third tournament launching out of RedBud. The weather was good so Dennie and I headed up north hitting the tule banks looking for some beds. Using drop shot, split shot and shakey jigs to most of our 16 + pounds. The winners five bass was 27 + pounds working the beds also. You will find that most of the bass are 2 pounds and you should not have any problem getting a limit. Crippe is eveywhere and so are the carp.
      City: Rocklin

Tips: work the beds and or stay back so you will not spook them in the clear waters
