Report: Got 15-20 fish. Mostly from 10-25 ft. Some bites are soft while many are hard hits. 90% of the fish are between13-15 in. Got 1 about 4# on a deep diver on a muddy point.
City: modestoTips: I was fishing too fast for a while. Slow down and got more bites.

Oroville Lake

Water Temp: 55-61
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished the middle fork in the AM, only put 2 in the boat. One on a c-rigged Powerworm and the other on a Yum dinger. Water visibility was 15+ feet in some locations before the wind came up. It was a great day on the lake. Can't wait for the bite to pick up.
City: Lincoln -
Water Temp: 54-58+ in AM,
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Almost no fish or bait on screen. Water 4 degrees warmer in upper S. Fork, up to 60+ in PM. Tough bite. 10 in slot (none under) & only 1 over. Hit darthead Aaron's Magic fished slowly. Think some of fish were spawning.
Tips: Start looking for spawners before the wind comes up.

Sonoma Lake

Water Temp: 55-65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The Redwood Empire Bass Club held their March tournament on Saturday under clear skys. We had an excellent turnout with 32 anglers all competing against each other. When the day ended everyone weighed in at least one bass with a total of 127 fish weightin in. There were 17 limits and average weight of 2.29 lbs per bass. It took just over 23 lbs for 1st place anchored by a pair of 7lb'ers. The weights droped from there to 15 lbs for 2nd and 13 lbs to make the top 10. Fish were caught on a variety of techniques including crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs, worms and brush hogs. I was able to pull out a 4th place finish catching an limit early using a white spinnerbait and a 5" Yamamoto grub in the Dry Creek area. I even landed a large crappie on the spinnerbait.
Next stop on the REBC tour will be Clear Lake in April so get out your swimbaits and ripbaits and get ready for some fun. For more info, visit our website at www.rebc.net.
City: Rohnert ParkTips: The fish are definately on the pre-spawn mode. Bass are suspending around cover waiting for the water to warm more before moving to the shallows. White blades and plastics in green pumpkin or watermelon and crankbaits in shad or crawdad patterns. Also try drop shotting around bushes in staging areas or tossing a weightless senko.

Amador Lake
-
Water Temp: 64-70
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Reading prior reports, I figured the afternoon bite might be good. Wrong! For me at least. I got 3 bites from 3:30 pm till 11 pm, one 12" fish on a brush hog at dark and 2 on jigs after dark. Only landed the little 12 incher. One guy said he caught 6 from one cove and another boat I saw caught at least 1 or 2 good ones (bass) around 4:30 from a small cove just off the main body but that wasn't a bass boat and they may have been using live bait as they appeared anchored and were 10 feet off the bank. Lake about 3 feet from full. Within a day of the new moon. Air temp was pretty warm and there were no clouds or fog. The great news is there are no weeds yet!!
City: FolsomTips: Unless you're happy with a 1 in a 100 shot at a decent fish or willing to fish till dawn, don't fish this lake at night without moonlight. The floating debris situation at the launch ramp was much improved.

Anderson Lake
-
Water Temp: 58-62
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I fished the south end today with excellent results. Caught lots of fish in 1.5 to 2.5lb range. With my biggest going 3.5 & 4lbs. I caught probably 50 fish today which half of them fell to my jerkbait. Though the bigger one's came from a laydown on a senko!!!
City: San JoseTips: As long as you have shade you can catch'em on reaction bait's!!!
-
Water Temp: 56 - 63
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fish the Day with my wife, Started out up north before the Boarders got out... nothing happening. Moved to the middle of the lake picked up a few, then moved to the west side, south of the launch, picked up four in one spot then moved more south, water temp went up and so did the fishing. Went into the very back of Frenches Cove... as far back as you could go, only 3 - 6 feet deep. Saw about 20 - 30 good size babies cruisin' around, they wouldn't touch a thing I threw, ther were some that went up to about 6lb's. Finished the Day with 18 fish, biggest only 1.7lb's, most caught on Drop-shot with Baby Bass Cut-Tail, a few on AAron's Magic and two on Senko's. Another fun Day.
City: Pacifica, CaTips: Find the Rocks and fish till you find the Depth they're at, Today it was 5 - 15 feet in later afternoon.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 59-63
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I wish I could give you a better report, but we were on the water on the friday of the FLW with the bright idea of fishing piper in from of Russos. The off limits area. Well we picked up a few fish off of the condo complex and got a bite on tysuns point, but for the most part the fishing was slow. Slow meaning that 12-15 fish in the 1-4 lb range. Beavers lead to the most bites. Unfortuantely, most of the spots that we would usually fish, Genos point, phils point, rondos cut... They all had boats on them.
For those of you who don't know these places and you are looking for a great club with good guys to fish with, then go to www.dmbass.com and check out the Devil Mountain Bassmasters or call me at 925-639-7724.

Water Temp: about 65 degree
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: i went out yesterday. It was a slow start. About 6 fish in early morning, all nder 2 pounds. Caught then on a jig. then slowed for about 2 hrs. Then caught 3 more on a rat-L-trap. Then stayed slowed way down until about 2pm. Got near some 5 mile zone and fished near some docks and all hell broke loose. The only way i'd not catch a fish is if i just put my senko down and not put it in the water again. It was on fire!!! 10 pounder, 7 pounder, 9 pounder, 2's, 3's , I even was casting where my buddy finished fishing and i'd still bring em in. Get out there now and go to work. The delta is on fire, or, you could stay home and let me fish like that again next weekend.
City: tracyTips: If fishing senko's, keep it moving with slow twitching and crank 1 revolution then pause. Everything else, let 'er rip!

Report: All of you guys that aren't catching anyting I don't no what you're doing. My friends and I are 14 and fish at this lake as much as possible. No lie either one or two of us max out almost every time we go. If we don't max out then we are pretty darn close to it. So don't give up on this lake, you just got to know how to catch 'em. That was all about trout. Bass we catch too. My friend caught about a 9 pounder. We catch small ones mainly though. I'm going just bass fishing tomorrow with my friend in his canoe. When I get home I'll post a report about our day.

Clear Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Hit the lake around 10am with my buddy. We started at Lucerne and worked our way north. Found fish jerking a stacy around beaches and docks. As it warmed up, the fish would only hit the lure on the shady side of the docks. My buddy struggled and only had one bite doing this. I had 6 fish up to 3.5 lbs. Interestingly, about noon, I ventured into the shallows between two docks and see about a dozen bass from 1-3 lbs sunning themselves and half heartedly looking at my lure. I now began seeing fish everywhere I went in the shallows. Near rodman, my friend now found a new favorite lure, a splitshot 6" worm. He caught 9 keepers in 2 hrs just dragging it behind the boat on the bottom.
I tossed the swimbait about 100 casts and had not one hit. Everybody prefishing for the tournament the next day was throwing swimbaits. I remember as I am looking at tulies, that my nephew says, concentrate on tulies under the water. I pick it up again and fling it past some underwater tulies and bring it through and all hell breaks loose. I set into a nice 4.5 and felt better about my arms hurting. I had one more hit on it, seeing the fish race through the water and attack my bait. Exciting, but no hook up. by now it was 3pm and very warm. I was getting water temps around 60 degrees. We ended up w/21 fish and I gained some confidence in the northeast part of the lake.
City: Yuba CityTips: I could be wrong, but I bet reaction type stuff would be off the hook at first light. I talked to a guy dragging a big heavy carolina rig around that said he caught many, many fish. Sounds like it going on at this place. Tournament this weekend took 70 lbs to win! I wonder how Ripper and Doug did???
-
Water Temp: high 50's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well, boyz, these fish are moving in!!! Yesterday, I got to one of my favorite spots in Nice and saw some amazing stuff!! In one tree I saw numerous 3-5 pound fish cruising bait and scanning the shallows looking for a place to lay those eggs (or atleast prepare to!!) I gaurantee that there are already fish that are spawning!! What is it MARCH?? The weather this year has been absolutely freak!! Last year was almost ideal with perfect water conditions, but a lot of rain!!! This year we are suffering from the lack of rain, but the fish are definitely reacting to this change in water temp!! The fish are 2 months ahead of what they were last year in march. The year is in fast forward, if it keeps going like this and doesn't rain our bass sanctuary will be a puddle!!! Anyways, look for shallow fish!!!!!!There will soon be biggins moving up!!
City: Upper LakeTips: Get your senkos out fellas, cause it's soon to be time!!! See ya on CL!!

Eastman Lake

Water Temp: 62 to 64.4
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Wow what a day we had thursday my 7 biggest fish totaled 28 pounds with the biggest going 6.4 pounds. Black/blue jigs 1/4oz bullet head with a smoke blk/blue flake 4" twin tail yamamoto grub as a trailer and fried green tomato crank bait (BILL NORMAN)did the trick. Bass were in 7 to 10 feet of water boat traffic was light. My fishing partners big bass was 4 1/2 pounds his second time on the lake. Traffic will be heavier over the weekend. Evening bite is very good also. 559-689-3255
City: kerman caTips: Flats with deep water near by all 7 of my biggest fish were in a 15 yard area. Dont let the color of the water fool you its not slowing the bite down at all.

Folsom Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: went out with float tube fished for a while and finally got one small one then packed up and went to new area and caught a nice spot.Fished around some boulders did not catch anything else.
City: RocklinTips: I belive if you stick to areas with sandy or muddy bottoms you will do better then fishing around structure right know.
-
Water Temp: 55-60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The lake is getting stained with the new water coming in, so we stayed out side the mud line. Riping and small swim baits did the trick for Levi and I in the afternoon. no wind and water temp climing up. Most of the bass are sitting in 10 ft of water out on the opening of the coves. "rip and sit for 10 seconds" then rip again. You must get down to 10-15 ft off the sandy/rocky banks
City: RocklinTips: fish very slow.
-
Water Temp: 59.2
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I hate to say it, but.....................How things change in a week! Rich put his second bass in the boat and we had 3 for the day all on various stuff. I would love to meet anyone who wants to talk s#$^t about people posting garbage on this web site for some one on one, 3 on 3 or whoever wants to get together for a little "Derby" as has been suggested! Jim may be catching the fish he say's he is, maybe not.....but who are anyone out there to say otherwise! Go fish, get a tan and make sure you go home with fingers that smell like fish and it's a good day! Keep posting Jim.........thanks for the feedback on the "Rock Garden" a couple days ago! I am happy to go face to face..........Bring it on for a day of fun fishing! Bobby, you would have had fun today!
City: SacramentoTips: Fish it slow on wind blown points with fist sized rock and steep slope! Tight Lines!

McClure Lake
-
Water Temp: 64-66
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished with my daughter today from 10AM to 5PM. Fished with live minnows first for her...caught one 4 lb Black. Thougbt it would be easier for her to catch...was I wrong!!! started fishing with smoke/shad senkos all along horseshoe and spanked 'em..caught 25 fish in the last 4 hours after giving up on live stuff. Average size about 2 pounds. Largest 4 pounds. Mix of spots and blacks. I never changed up, just kept throwing up against the bank and worked it in...best in the rocks and points. Big dish were shallow, but didn't want anything I had. Something I observed, if you could see the fish, they could see you and no luck!! All of my fish were a ways away from the boat, or in 10-20 feet of shade area, or murky areas from waves coming in.
City: Merced, CATips: Fish the points and any rock piles. After a rookie maneuver, I left my fishing bag at home, but grabbed the senkos at A1 Bait on the way with some hooks. Never needed anything else. Used watermelon/white laminate senkos on 3/13, and had same results. The spawn is going to be off the hook!!!
