Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: thanks for writing back Dave. I guess the season hasnt realy picked up yet. I have fished the main lakes for trout and i have had a lot of sucess. Although, I don't have a boat so I haven't tried bass fishing in the front. Through talking to friends,, i have heard that a sucessful bait in the front right now is a trout set up (sliding egg sinker with a swivel and 2 feet of lieder line) with only a blown up real worm so it can float.

Water Temp: 44
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: After 23 days of no fishing (what was I thinking) I finally got out for a few hours today. The fishing was about what I expected, a little slow but the fish were big. I caught about a dozen from 9:30 to 2:30, with a pair of 5 lb class smallies anchoring a 20lb 5 fish limit, 4 of which were smallies. A georgous day on the lake as I shed my jacket around 11. Only 1 other boat out today and they were having fun with some nice smallies as well.

Water Temp: under 60...
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: i definately reassessed my bass identity skills, and have concluded that i was mistaken, no SMB in lexington is correct. (i was NOT on LSD at the time i wrote this, maybe when i was fishin though... maybe.)
took a mile hike around the lake to see what it looks like when it is low, since it is. fishin my fav rocket shad (in smoke) and a yellow/black spinner to no avail. was mostly out there for the hike, though. not to mention u can drink out there so, hell why not.

Water Temp: 50.8 to 51.0
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Saturday was pertty good day to be on the water there were some nice bass to 3 1/2 pounds been caught on jigs and live bait. Jigs in light grn pumpkin w/yamamoto ( 208 ) twin tail 4" grub watermelon red/blk flake as a trailer produced most of the bass in 18 to 25 feet of water.Live bait nightclawers also produced nice bass in that same depth. Warmer days are ahead swimbait fish should be up in shallower water there are trout been caught from the bank and from boats either trolling or anchored some trout are in the 12 to 14 inch range. Mid 60s by the end of the week but may drop back to high 50s by saturday. Bigger bass are showin up from 3pm till dark islands isolated rock piles dam area and points are all holding bass. Traffic may be heavier on weekends 559-689-3255
City: Kerman Ca.Tips: Warmer weather mean shallower fish and jigs drop shot or swimbait and even livebait should all work some baits better than others. Its this time of year when you hook a good fish other fish fallow the hooked fish to the surface have a jig tied on and drop it down if you have somebody fishing with you sometime the fish fallowing may be bigger and hooking that fish may be a good bet.

Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Hi Dave here. I've also been fishing the back ponds at least two times a week and the last two outings (the 18th and the 22nd ) I didn't even get a bite. I guess misery loves company because after reading your post I see I'm not the only one getting skunked out there. I threw everything I had at them and nothing seemed to work. I usually get at least two fish per outing most of them in the 13" 1.5lbs range. A 5" senko unweighted was my go to bait but the fish don't seem to want that anymore. I have had some luck on a 3/8 oz jig with a zoom salty brown on the hook.
Good Luck
P.S. ever fish the main lake?

Sonoma Lake

Water Temp: 49-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Nice day, about 61, not much wind, saw plenty of suspended fish, hundreds together, no bites..10 to 70 ft in the different arms of the lake. One guy had a couple of bites, no fish. They seem to be hybernating. They were stacked up to the max.
Used senkos, spinners, topwater, jigs, swimbait, dropshot, cranks, countdown lures. Zippo results.
City: Healdsburg, CaTips: Enjoy the day, scope the lake out since it is low, for better times. Wonder why there are not more reports on this lake, never much to report, my best day ever was 20 fish in 3yrs, 49 lbs. During summer, only reason, found a honey hole that does not exist anymore...

Water Temp: 51-52
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished 9:00am-3:00pm, mostly in warm springs and a little on main body not too far from public ramp. 3 fish total today, all on dropshot w/ aarons magic robo's. All fish very deep (40-70 feet). No action on the ol' jig n' pig today, tho' I tried. Dropped a spoon on some suspended fish too, cranked for awhile, no luck. Spent part of the day trolling for steelies w/ no takers. Don't know you, but thanks for the good tip from firejon. Tied my hook closer to the sinker, improved the action some. Wish more people would post on this lake. You can always learn something.
City: San AnselmoTips: jigs or D.S. seem to be the ticket.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: They charge $9 for day use and $8 to fish - that's $17 stinkin' dollars per person. We fished from 7am till 4pm. We had 6 poles out(w/ 2nd rod stamp) -bobbers w/ night crawlers, crank baits, minnows -not a bite all day! We only saw two fish taken all day by others. This place is a rip off.
City: San FranciscoTips: Fish another lake!

Berryessa Lake

Water Temp: 49-51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at 8:30 and the wind was blowing a steady 20+ al ready which took out the main lake stuff. Fished some off shore structure protected areas and managed 4 fish 2 spots, 1 smallie and Lm. About noon we braved the big water and headed near the dam and found the bite much better we landed about 10 more mostly 2-lbers. Half of the fish were on a pumpkin jig and the others were spilt shotting a pumpkin snipe.
City: MartinezTips: Fish were 15-30ft

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sun. for about 4 hrs. 2 bites 1 fish. A 2 pound spot. Non stop 20 mile an hour wind didn't help. Both bites on black jig in about 20 feet of water. My first trip to this lake. I was surprised at the boat traffic for this time of year. Had a good time anyway. Good Luck wish I was more help.

Report: Started out main body again caught a 5 and a 3.5 ( both blacks) bite was slow so I moved up river at the temperature change, sea gulls were feeding on bait so I cast a swimbait, no takers, threw a Shad immatation drop shot bait, boom there were feeders all over the point, but they were only keepers. Desided to move back to main body but the wind got up and I left the lake very early. All fish came from about 10 feet.
City: SacTips: Blacks today, spots tommorrow, it's anybody's guess. The wind had an effect today as it was nnw. Good fishing, Jimbo

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 47-49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Devil Mt. Bassmasters held our first club tournament of the year at Berryessa on Saturday launching 6 boats. The day started cold and clear, luckily not as cold as the prior week. As a club we managed to bring in limits for every boat but the bite had definitely gotten tougher than the preceding week. Winning limit was 9.5 lbs with 9.05 taking second. All limits were grouped pretty tightly around the 8-9 lb area. Big fish was 2.6 lbs. with several guys bringing in fish in the 2.5 lb range. Fish were reported in water shallow as 15ft and the winners were fishing 20-40 ft using drop shot rigs. Dragging and hula grub accounts for a couple of limits as well.
City: Walnut CreekTips: We found our fish in main lake points in deeper water. Fish seemed to move deeper as the day progressed. Move your bait as slow as you can then slow it down even more. Water is stained and the darker colors seemed to work better. Watch out for the wind which can kick up in the afternoon and make for a bouncy ride back to the ramp!
-
Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started out 8:00 A.M. stayed south end of lake wind blowing all day. Only managed A 7lbs limit. A lot of smoke was coming over the hill from the main body of the lake area so I left early.Didn't want to get stuck in the fire. Does anyone know how bad or exactly where the fire was?

City: SAcTips: Brown Rod Strainer jigs with Yammamoto trailer with Smelly Jelly.
