Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Give the guy a break. Its his decision whether or not he wants to take the fish home or not. If they run low on bass they'll stock it. The only reason they don't stock bass is because it'll cut down some of the other fish population. I know u guys mean well but its his choice, let him be. Just cause they dont stock bluegills we cant take them home? Think about it
City: ?Tips: Go for the trout and catfish and take them hom. Catch a bass, its up to u, just make sure its legal.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 49-51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: A tough day after the front went through, winds about 15-20 made it tough to fish the main lake. We managed about 8-10 fish one on a brn/brn jig a couple drop shot, a couple split shot and a few on a huddle bug. Fish were 20-30ft deep green and browns were the colors we had success with. Most all of the fish came from off shore structure and didn't seem to matter what end of the lake. Some in the narrows a few in the main lake and a couple in a cove. Biggest fish was 2.25lbs
City: MartinezTips: The fish were finicky today we got quite a few short bites they would pick it up and spit it out seemed typical for post frontal fish, the bite should pick up the next few days.
I tested some Gamma fluorocarbon line today; it was awesome great knot and tension strength -

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: When is this ice age over with?? Went out midday headed straight toi the pile off rat island....nothing, went to the narrows and dragged everything (real slow) including minnows...nothing.
Went to Konocti, worked off the rocky point in 20-30 foot just south of the resort and found 'em...got two on jigs with a friendly pig (blk/blk) both in the threes. Then got two beauts on minnows...one 6-12 and the other was 7 on the dot....called it a day and thawed out!!
City: eurekaTips: All my fish were close together, right before dark, and the two on jigs was slow rolled and shook the jigs when they were on pause (about a 30 second pause at that)....exytremely light takes!!

All fish came on a 4 '' hula grub 3/8 oz head with no weed guard. Only broke off one snag, pretty happy about that. All keepers but nothing over 2lbs.

Report: My buddy Forrest and I fished Monday and Tuesday and found a good bite in the narrows on steep banks with trees, Forrest 9 spots and 2 smallies to 2 lbs, David 5 spots and 1 smallie and 1 trout 2 lbs on drop shot robo's and plastic minnow imitator(18 fish total on Monday)Tuesday I got 5 and Forrest 6 put the cold front had came through in the night and my boat looked liked it had snowed on it, it was 19 deg at 6:00 am.
City: San JoseTips: Fish 35-50 feet on steep rocky banks and once you hook the fish don't bring them up fast because they will die or bring a needle and deflate them.
Eat at Steele Park Restaurant, nice people and good food, a little spendy but worth it. God Bless and come on spring!!

Mendocino Lake
-
Water Temp: 46
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished with Dad. Launched about 11 AM, fished until 2:45 PM. Fished sinkos very slow for about an hour with no luck. Started fishing a creature bait, red/purple, very slow Texas rigged, 5 - 20 ft. of water where access to deeper water is near. All bites were pressure bites except one that tried to jerk my pole out of the boat because I laid it down. We landed 6 nice bass. One smallie and 5 largemouth to 3 lbs. no dinks. It was a great day on the lake.
City: Hidden Valley LakeTips: Each time you pick up your rod tip feel the bait. Most of the time if there is a fish, it just doesn't feel right. Sometimes your bait just isn't where it is supposed to be. Don't expect to feel the fish hit.

Water Temp: 42
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Had a good day (for this time of year) in the Mildred area. Fished Jigs and slow rolled blades and caught a few real nice 3 and 4lb fish and the rest in the 2lb range. Better fish came on the jigs fished with a shaking motion... Bought the jigs at extreme outdoorsman, they have an excellant selection of jigs. That store is really on the up and up and there are a lot of improvements going in from what I hear, I encourage all to shop there as it has the best customer service of all the stores you will find out in the delta region. That being said, dark jigs, black & whatever as long as is is dark with black and red brushhog on the back. Thanks to Rod and all the guys at extreme angler for putting me on the fish.
City: OakleyTips: Go to extreme outdoorsman and check it out you might be suprised what you can pick up along with some of the best equipment selection Ive seen.

Camanche Lake
-
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished a club tourny with 15-16 boats. My partner and I caught 10 keepers to weigh in 12.99#. It was good for 2nd place. We lost to a team with a 6+# kicker. Our fish were all 2-3 pounds. We had our limit by 8:12 and culled before 8:30. We moved to our second spot and culled three more times. Also, lost 3 or 4 fish that broke off or shook off.
The key to our results was fishing dead slow and on steep dropoffs near the main channel. All fish came 45 feet or deeper. I discovered this bite during prefish and managed consistent catches on this pattern every time I went to it. We used football head jigs with small plastics and small brown tubes on a C-rig to catch our fish. Also, liberal doses of scent.
The prior three days were a severe cold snap but these deep fish were not affected. We should have boated 14 fish and, with a little luck, might have caught the 5# kicker we needed to win. But, under the freezing conditions, I'm very happy with 2nd place. Congratulations to the winners...great job on a tough day!
City: Fair OaksTips: Slow, slow, slow! Boat moves 10 feet = 10 minutes! Find your fish during prefish, then trust them to be there on tourny day.

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Club tournament. 15 teams 5 blanked. I was lucky I had one bite for a healthy 1.40 lb spot at 8 am.Water turned into ice on my rod eyes and couldn't cast until you stick your rod in the water to melt the ice? Boy was this a fun day on the water or what. Still no lites on the bathrooms? Guess $24.00 can't cover a little electricity before sunrise. Won't be going back any time soon.
City: orangevaleTips: Wait for a warming trend.
-
Water Temp: 48-49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: tough bite. fished club tournament. Heard about 5 teams blanked. we got lucky with a small limit. Most on jigs very slowly dragged. One on drop shot. partner caught 3 lb trout on tube---tell the trollers they are wasting their time. Heard some caught limit on darter heads shallow.
City: folsomTips: fish very slow with jig or drop shot around 35-40 feet deep. We caught most of our fish behind others, so be patient.
