Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished 2:30-5:30pm in warm springs arm. Found fish on steep walls/points with some cover and small rock in about 10-30 ft of water. Got bit, but couldn't set the hook right for the life of me. Had three on out of about 10-11 hits, but all came unbuttoned at the boat. 1oz jig n' pigs in brown/orange & black/blue with lots of smelly jelly were what they liked, fished extremely slow. Tried shakey heads, blades, no go. Bites were light taps, no hit and run.

Tips: Set the hook better'n I did.

Report: Good luck to all the guys and gals on Sat at the Big Valley 100% tourney. MY son- in law and I decided not to fish because this lake is beat up. We found 1 place all day that was holding fish. Very tough bite. 2 on splishot 1 on dropshot 1 on brass-n glass 35ft not what i would call a wide open bite. I know what your thinking! fair weather fisherman,WRONG were doing the travelers this year so we will pick and choose. See you all at McClure in a couple of weeks for sure, love that lake. Bye the way all the fish we caught were 16"+ really was a tough decision not to fish the tourney.

      Water Temp: 45-46

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got to the lake at around 8:30 and there was a steady cold wind coming from the north that really made things tough..started out fishing the island to the right of the launch..started in 40 ft and worked all the way into about 23 ft with no hits at all..dragged a hula grub and 6 inch robo..also fished a dropshot along with the occasional casts with the rip bait just trying to put something together, fished both sides of the island with nothing and then started hitting the points with the same baits and started out deep working our way in..finally after about 2 hrs with nothing i hooked up with a 2.5 in about 30-35 ft dragging the hula, thought we may have been onto something..only hooked up one more time dragging the hula grub on a diff point in about the same depth, but the fish weighed 3.4 so it was a little better...but that was it
      City: Salinas

Tips: i wish i had some..i talked to one guy who said they caught 11 but with the conditons of how they were i kind of doubt it..wait for a low pressure system to come though and it would help the bite a lot, i just wasnt able to really put anything together..have fun out there
