Report: Anybody fishing from tuseday till sunday the weather going to start getting cooler at nights and some days my stay over cast but that dosent mean the bass will lock jaw up that second and third ramps and the dam area are holding fish wheather throwin swimbaits or throwing jigs these fish are there. Like i said the patterns havent changed in many years here high water or low. Dont ever be afraid to try something different. Tube baits in 4 1/2" and 1/4 to 3/8 jig heads works well starting about now verticle jiging in water 25 to 40 feet deep get over your target area drop it down making contact with the bottom jig it let settle most time they well pop it as it fall back to bottom but remember dont pop the bait jig it and keep close to bottom as possible. and tube baits are good around rock pile edges on ledges and dropoffs. And small isolated rock piles. One more bait you can put in the tackle box. Next report ill talk about spoons.
      City: kerman ca

Tips: TUBE BAITS ITS TIME. SPOONS ARE GOING TO BE COMING AROUND SOON ALSO. COLORS FOR TUBES PUMPKIN GRN/FLK, WATERMELON/CRAWFISH, CHART/PEPPER, JUNEBUG, WATERMELON/RED/BLK/FLK ARE GOOD COLOR TO START WITH.

      Water Temp: 57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Wimpies yesterday and concentraited on dead end slough hoping to find LM feeding on bass. Tide was outgoing all day. Managed to catch only a hand full between my partner and I, but made it up by killing the large crappie. Large crappie on Ultra Light tackle is fun. Some were approaching Clear Lake size.

Hey, No Name, I fish the Delta every weekend. I usually report better catches, but that is why they call it fishing not catching. In my opinion the Delta and Clearlake is your best bet for trophy bass. And just like anywhere if you don't take the time to learn the waters then you'll never be consistent. From my experience, these reports and pics are not BS, so keep you line wet and keep on fishing.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Keep you line wet and quit blaming other people for your shotcomings.

      Water Temp: 57-59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished yesterday and today. On Saturday there was a of lot pressure around the lake. I got bit 5 times and only landed a single fish. (I know, pathetic....) I headed to Shag rock and joined the flotilla of crappie fishermen and caught 4 crappie and a few bluegill in about 45 minutes.

Sunday started with fog as thick as pea soup. I fished for about 3 hours and took 3 fish, a 5-10, a 3-8 and a 2-8. I then chased the crappie again and caught a bunch of them the largest just over 2-4, very fun on light tackle. All fish were caught and released. The fog didn't clear until well after 1PM.
      City: Petaluma

Tips: When fishing in low visibility conditions please run with your lights on. I was amazed at the number of folks running around this morning with no lights at all.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished with Folsom Bass Team on Sunday. tough bite. fish were scattered. My partner and I fished North Arm, and caught fish on spooks, ripbait, darterhead, jig, and drop shot. No particular pattern. All were small and we weighed in just over 6 lb. Most were caught in around 15-20 ft of water, so had to fizz no fish at all. There was no wind where we were, but some fished the light wind in the main body and caught bigger limits. Winning weight was over 10 with a 5 lb kicker for 5 fish.

Tips: Keep looking. Like Lunker Larry said, when it cools off, it should be better.

      Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Another tough bite for us today. I managed only one nice 2 lb bass on a slow-rolled white spinnerbait in 15'. John got skunked for first time in several outings. It was a bluebird day, virtually no wind and sunshine most of the morning. We both tried several presentations, including lots of casts with swimbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, Swimming Senko, and jigs...but no bites. We both fished mainly in the 15 to 30 foot zone, trying to avoid the bank area that is pounded by most of the anglers here. We both fished in the weedbeds weeds along the shore...I tried on the surface and John punched through with weighted jig, but neither of us had any action there. I again found a lot of fish suspended between 40 and 60 feet but couldn't get them to hit deep lures like blade baits, horse-head jigs, swimbaits, and slow-rolled spinnerbaits.
      City: Monterey

Tips: There were several bass taken on drop-shot plastic worms and deep-fished spoons, by following the baitfish schools (shad and hitch) and fishing in and under them. The schools are constantly on the move, so it's a challenge staying with them...follow your depth-finder.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Arrived about 8:00am was nice a sunny all the way there until the top of Pacheco pass and ran into a wall of Tule fog.Started out around Dinosaur point throwing Rat-l-trap nothing.Could not see more than 50' so i kept the bank within sight. Then i started hearing fish boil out in the middle behind me.Put on a Pop-r and cought about 20 fish all between 3-6 pound's.Of the water by noon enough time to see the Niner's beat Seattle.
      City: Salinas

Tips: Be careful if it's not the wind it's the Tule fog over here.I was just outside the island by Dino point and two guy's came up and asked where's the Basalt ramp, guy's you are on the wrong side of the lake.I sure hope they made it back becouse the fog was real bad whne i left.

      Water Temp: 59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the lake around 2:00 P.M. and fished until sundown. First cast my dad nailed a two pounder on a skinny watermelon 4 inch senko and I was like "cool" maybe I'll try that. So my dad got skunked the rest of the day because he caught a fish the first cast, you know "bad luck". I ended up catching around ten bass, biggest going three pounds and a couple of twos and the rest were dinks. We got in trouble for staying on the lake too long because I was having a blast, but it all worked out.
      City: Prunedale

Tips: Get to the lake early and get those active fish with spinnerbaits and crankbaits and later in the day slow down with plastics and jigs. Oh yeah, lake is really low because they are draining it for the winter rains. Fish rocky points, every one you see, there is fish on them. You have to find them.

Report: Fished outside of Franks Track for Stripers. Found A few good ones up to 11 lbs. on Gibbs Minnows. Going to try some top water next time if I can get my lazy @$$ on the water before sun up.

      City: Sac

Tips: Hey no name that is why 90% of the fisherman go fishing and the rest of us 10% catch fish. You have to spend A lot of time to learn seasonal patterns on the Delta to be succesful and even the best of us still get skunked!!!!

Report: Fished club T O C with Vincent Lees, Started up north fork because of success pre fishing. Nice limit drop shot? Not one bite by 9:30 so we left for south fork. Vince had a couple of spots and they paid off right away. 3 keepers drop shotin 35 foot range on long point. Tried one of my spots that pete robino and I used to fish and nailed a fat 5 lber on a capt jack jig. 1/2 oz brown and purple skirt twin tail brown yamamoto trailer. Went back to long point and vince catches no. 5. We had 5 bites all day but they were enough to win with almost 10 lbs. Thanks Vince for giving up your spot for me. One other boat had a limit split shot in 15 foot range. Tough bite but that's the dead sea for ya.
      City: Orangvale

Tips: Use your electronics and fish slow. Bigger fish are on jigs as usual. I used a two hook drop shot rig with different colored worms to find out what they wanted. Brown on the bottom and a shad color on top hook. They wanted brown worms.Use 6lb test floro carbon line. Remember 5 bites in 8 hrs.NEVER GIVE UP

Report: Didn't get on lake until 7:30..fished narrows on way to Horseshoe..there were two tournaments fishing today..A club and A.C.Teams..Lot of boats but no one on my stuff..I fished one cut that had wind blowing in and stuck a 3 1/2 spot on a swimbait....then another boat flew in and almost ran me over and spooked the fish. Went up river and fished steep cuts on both sides..Caught a lot of small fish on dropshot..Started throwing jigs and the bite was on..threw brown/purple 1/2oz football jig with a netbait paca chunk pumpkin color and caught a easy 12lb limit..in about one hour..fishing the end of points downwind in about 30ft any shallower and caught small fish..the best bite was 30 to 38 feet deep..just dragging..no hops..didn't get a thunk all day..just went weightless and they were there..about noon I think every boat on the lake came into the river and you had to wait your turn..most boats were dropshoting and catching small fish..
      City: Madera

Tips: fish up hill..put your boat shallow and drag uphill

      Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I took a client to Oroville Friday to teach him how to bass fish and though the bite would be ok because of good cloud cover most of the day. We fished Potter's, main body, and the middle fork. We did find a lot of bait but not many bass around the bait. Much of the bait was 80 to 130 feet - a bit deep!!! Most of our bass were landed by drop-shotting a Basstrix flashtrix 4' minnow. Our first two bass were even over the slot, but we only caught about 10 bass total. We missed several. Most of our bass were near creek channels. I was happy he caught a few and one of the "overs".
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Like has been mentioned, you need to move around a lot. All of our bass were caught at 35 feet and deeper. When the water finally cools - if it ever does this winter - the spots will school up and we will catch more in one spot. Until then - happy hunting!!!!!

      Water Temp: 60-62

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Saturday was beautiful day to be at the lake! Myself and two friends Todd & Rich were out to find some bass! There was a tourney going on that day but not so many boats that around every corner you had to troll around someone. The bite was tough make no mistake yall, you pretty much had to hit the bass in the head to get it to bite. From daylight to 2:30pm we accounted for 11 spots, best five would go about 8-9lbs. Saw two fish chasing lures, one was actually caught on a crank! The others were all caugh on 4-6 inch strait tail worms. Caught a few up shallow but most fish are between 20-60+ feet of water.
      City: Plumas Lake

Tips: Just be patient and have fun fishin' the fish are down deep and will bite, just depends on how hungry they are when they see your offering! See yall on the lake...
