Water Temp: 64.7
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched Tuttletown at 7:15, headed out to the islands behind the visitor center. Wind was up abit as the dropshot hit the water, pretty slow with only 2 fish coming up for a visit after being fooled on oxblood colored worms tied up 18" from the weight. Hit the north side to get some sun and get out of the wind with no results. headed down past Mormon and pulled 3 more out, one puking a ton of small shiney shad and small minnows with some orange craw legs floating in the mix. headed back in at noon and hit Camacho's in downtown Sonora for a burrito before heading back to work.
Threw the obligitory white buzzbait, one ton rig, and c-rig green pumpkin brushhog without any bites
City: Sonora, CATips: drop shot 25-40 ft was the only thing working for us. 1/8 oz more on the weight required to keep bottom contact

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started at 9a.m. and fished to about 1p.m. Fished near Richardson Park and only caught a couple of dinks on a grub & 1 bluegill! We went to lunch and were back on lake by about 3:30. Fishing picked up in Jago Bay near grass & tules near docks with 20' plus water near by using crank baits. weighed 3lb 13oz, 3 3, & the last fish was 5 5. Five more were 1 to 2 lbs. mixed in as well as 2 catfish caught on white twin tale grub! Thats what I love about this lake, you never know what you might catch. Ran into quite a few guys pre-fishing for the tournament coming up over the weekend. Most said morning bite slow and that it picked up in the PM.
City: WindsorTips: Evening was best with white & gray crank baits. These we bought from C & T Tackle in Cloverdale that were suggested by Jim.

Report: Fished club tournament Sat. Boy did I stinkup the place..Between my non-boater and myself we must have caught 60-70 fish, most were 10-12 inchers...culled through 4 small limits, just couldn't get the big bite. The jig they liked the last two weeks didn't get me a bite.. They would destroy Robo worms in almost any color we threw..the bite was a mushy bite and you had to feed it to them..Since I am not in the points race in the club I just dumped my little limit at the ramp and went home.my non-boaters limit was 4.62 for four fish..he culled through at least four limits to get that..I think the high pressure killed the bite for big fish..if you want to catch a bunch of small fish this is the place to go...just drag Robo worms, anywhere you happen to be..we caught fish all over the lake..I think 6lbs won the tournament..

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sat and Sun 21-22 Oct. Sat was tough. Not a bite. Tried the north end along the islands and drop offs. Worked the river on Sunday and got 10 fish up to 3 lbs. One top water chug bug, 3 senko and 6 carolina rig brush hog and senko. All were in 15-20ft off rocky shore. Nothing on crank, spinner, or drop shot.
City: Foster CityTips: Go out early and try senkos along rocky ledges. When the sun come up that will shut down so go to carolina rig off the steep rocky shoreline.

Report: Fished 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM with my son (he only fished for 45 minutes, good thing he has a Gameboy). Tried Dike 1 and 2, mostly in 15 to 25 feet but when I wasn't getting anything I explored shallow all the way out to 45 ft. Tried submerged island (8 ft out to 40) with no luck. Picked up one keeper from Stump Island on a Baby Brush Hog off a steep ledge. Drop shotted a few short fish from the shady side of the bridge. Tried Lancha Plana and the south side of the narrows.

Water Temp: 63 to 66
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Bass here are still in the 2.5 to 4.0 pound class and jigs are the choice of baits here still green pumpkin with a 208 yamamoto single tail grub in 1/4 or 3/8 oz bullet head jig works will in depths of 15 to 30 feet. I target the bigger fish so i like the deeper water this time of year. Brushogs in watermelon red/blk flake and junebug also are working. Carolina rig these baits and fish around rock piles and points also ledges are very good right now. traffic is heavier on weekends as swim bait fisherman are starting to hit the humps and there a good bite on humps if you follow behind them throwing jigs. Let them work a hump or island really good after they move off go in and work the same area you'll suprised what you can catch. 1-559-689-3255
City: kerman ca.Tips: No need to fish fast work areas in the 5mph area around rock piles and ledges are all good right now. Any questions just e mail here at markinman51@aol.com

Water Temp: 66.6
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Windy first thing in the morning and cought a few topwater and reaction. When the wind laid down went to Middle fork and stuck about 10 jig fish.
Best 2 went around 9. Thier are fish stacked up on the bottom and they are catchable fish. With the other poster, I found the smelt very deep on the graph but the jig fish came between 20-30' and were throwing up Smelt everywhere.
The lake is turning over in areas up in the arms.
This beats the heck out of Folsom right now!
City: AntelopeTips: If you are not getting bit or seeing fish keep moving and watching your graph.

Report: ok here ya go we fished last weekend,we are amatuers, here are some real tips senko's up tight on a moving tide will get tons of dinks to 1.9lbs behind or on top of weeds incoming tide, if you want 1.3-1.9lb bass crank outside weed lines that extend way off shore,on any moving tide ,if you want a giant.. swim bait on a high tide in clear water ,,,,,for quality fish look 6-15ft deep on outside weed lines flip plastic or throw a jig in moving water, spooks are catching dinks buzzzzzzing is done ,still toss kermit, and cover lots of water..........key on live weedbeds........., bluegill and crawfish patterns will draw better bites unless shad are near..
City: elk groveTips: if people gave these real tips ,,,,,we could learn just like the pros did by getting some advise that was meaningfull ,us amateurs only fish one or two days a month, we need the help ..

Casitas Lake

Water Temp: 67.5
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: This lake flat sux. Oh, and Jose, you and your woman should swim in the marina, cuz the docks are good for tanning!
The "hud" might be going ok, but for those of us who don't want to chuck giant slabs of plastic with muskie rods all day are really suffering here. I catch a lot of fish at the night tourney's, which is a lot of fun, but they just don't eat worms or jigs right now. EVERY other lake is on fire, why o why do I wast my time here?????
City: CamarilloTips: Go to ANY other lake if you don't like big baits.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: ON the water 7:00 A.M. fished South end Redbud to Konocti of Lake I threw Lucky Craft LV and and Speed Traps. Nothing spectacular 12lbs best 5. Did some C-rigged Lizards with only A few takers. Fish were all over with no one spot better than any other. Next weekend try narrows and State Park area.

Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Well, there wern't many bites today but some of them were good ones! I was introducing some good fishermen to the south end today. Casting was good but catching was not! Finally, around 9 am or so, one of the fellows sticks one that jumps nearly out of the water and we all freak! After a few tense moments, a beauty an ounce or two shy of 8 lbs is boated. Wow - the guide can relax! We fished all sorts of structure and boated only 7 or 8 bass. The same client nailed a 5 pounder and a couple around 2 lbs and the other fellow got a few smaller ones. I had one good bite all day and she went about 6 1/4 lbs. Hard work but a near 23 lb limit was worth it!!!
City: Yuba CityTips: The water color seems to be more dingy on the west side and slightly more clear around the east side of the lower lake area. No pattern to the depth of the fish - we caught them shallow to deep. Can't say any more as usual this time of year because of up-coming tournaments for some of these guys.
-
Water Temp: 63-66
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished for a few hours today and took 5 fish (12lbs+) before the wind kicked up from the south and blew me off the area that was producing. I did head into Horseshoe seeking shelter from the wind, but the water was quite red and any fish that were around had lockjaw.
City: PetalumaTips: LV 500 and Flappin Hog did the trick today. I also fooled around with an Evergreen ESDRIVE lipless, jointed swimbait. The action on this lure is INCREDIBLE. No hits today on it, but I'm positive this lure will work nicely in the near future. I plan to fish it as a swimbait and as a ripbait, very nice lure indeed.
Pray for rain and cold weather.

Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 63
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Just another ho-hum 60+ fish day on Oroville. Damn I love this lake when you need a fix and just want to go out and get bit. My buddy and I actually had a pretty slow morning starting up the middle fork. No reaction bite and only had 4 fish on a jig and d-shot by 9:30. Then we headed to the main body and the fishing really picked up. We were looking for bait, but didn't graph any. However, we did find a good number of fish in 28-36 feet of water hugging the bottom. The were hitting the jig pretty well, but really wanted the d-shop. Usually, just letting the motion of the boat do all the work is the ticket for us d-shotting on Oroville, but on this day you has to shake the worm pretty good. We wound up with a 10 pound 2 ounce limit and had one pushing 3 pounds that would have put us over 11 just pop off at the boat. Oh well, will take a 10 pound limit and a ton of fish anytime on Oroville. Beautiful weather, tasty cocktails and great fishing. Can't think of a better way to spend a late October day.
City: RosevilleTips: Electronics! Find the fish and you will get bit this time of year. They are not lethargic and will jump on your bait if you get it around them. Was pretty weird though. The bait fish we graphed were all pretty much in 70ft of water or deeper, but all of the spots we caught in 28-36 ft. were loaded with bait. Either the bait was real tight to the bottom and we could graph them or the spots were eating deep and then coming up to shallow water. Don't know exactly. Guess it doesn't matter too much as long as the are biting.

Water Temp: 63

Report: Fished North Fork. Best 2 fish plus a few others on white chartreuse spinnerbait. Other keepers on craw 6" worm on darthead (very steep rock banks) fished slowly. Dropshot fish on Morning Dawn were all in slot. Crankbaits in orange craw worked early. .
Tips: Bluebird skys, shade maybe a factor on bigger fish
