Water Temp: 65.6
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: On the lake by 8am and decided to throw jigs. If they didn't want jigs, then I wouldn't have to take them off the hook. I Used half ounce Bass Patrol all brown on one rod and 3/8 oz brown/purple on the other with Yamamoto 221 double tail grub. Lake very windy, that was a good thing. Caught fish on every stop but nothing big. There was a tournament and based on my fish it probably took over 10lbs to win. Wish I had some of these fish last week at the Anglers Choice TOC at Shasta. I might have made expenses.
City: ParadiseTips: With the wind there may have been a reaction bite early. I had no luck with a blade and briefly threw a worm with no luck. Use something you have confidence in just fish. Its beautiful out there. Most bites came either on a point or just inside. Caught some fish in the back of Dark Canyon. The heavier jig worked best.

Report: Launched out of Paradise and fished Disappointment and Columbia Cut. Cranked 3/4 oz shad colored Rat L Traps for most of the day. Caught 2 keeper size stripers (18-20 inches) and 8 keeper size bass (2 of them about 3-3.5 lbs). Striper action was early morning -- lost several keeper size and boated about 10 undersize stripers.
City: DixonTips: Fish the points of the tule islands. Bass on the outside edge of weedlines in about 5-7 ft of water so we cranked our Rat L Traps parallel to the weedline.

Water Temp: 66-67
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I had trips on Monday and Tuesday which is rare for me - I never try to guide on a Monday at Clear Lake! It really was more of a boat show both days - boats going every-which-way at 60-70 MPH. And then those fellows just idling around - "what do we do now?"! The gas companies are smiling for sure!!! Monday was a surprise - my client started out right away with a 4 1/4 pounder - a sigh of relief for me! Now I can enjoy the day! Usually our first good fish has come a little later in the morning. I got a 4-1 and we both got 3 1/2's - about 16+ lbs for the 5 biggest. The next day was the only day we couldn't boat a quality bass - 3 something was the biggest, though we caught several. Lots of running around learning spots - don't fish all the time during these type of trips.
City: Yuba CityTips: Sorry, no details on this report. The pressure seems to have really spread the fish around - one here, one there. I agree with the previous post - my preference would be to fish the late afternoon 'til dark - but tournaments don't work that way. I'm looking forward to seeing who figures out the puzzle Thurs and Fri. Good luck to all!!!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The day started with my cranking battery having a dead cell, and not getting on the water till about 9a.m., and then I broke the gator mount on my trolling motor, but you know... It was still a gorgeous day on the water, and we caught fish. not like last week, but we probably had a 13 pound limit, which was cool, considering it was a short day, and we tricked most of them on top waters. All in all who could gripe? It was fishing, and not working!
City: desert hot springsTips: get a delorean that can go back in time, and travel back to last friday.... you'll kill em!

Report: Started out at the bridge south fork, jacks shack, one 4ponder. Left and worked my way out to the main body. Caught five more 4pounders (clones) and ended up with a six pounder .I quit at one o'clock.
City: sacramentoTips: The rivers hole the majority of fish at the present time of the year. Forget about thew main body. Sure there are some fish there but you may find that the majority are up river. Forget about plastics, jigs, spoons, cranks, top water etcv. They just want one thing. Good fishing jimbo.

City: novatoTips: I threw a lot of top water and swim baits, but you can catch a lot of fish if you stuck with crankin and plastics.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Whites and Little Potato today. Couldn't get any topwater fish but the jig bite was great. Caught lots of small fish and three decent fish over 3 pounds. Two of the 3 pounders came on a brown jig with a Yamamoto trailer (blue). The other one came on a black and red jig. Also, several more smaller keepers came on both jigs. It didn't seem like they favored either color but they ALL came on the outside of weedlines with moderate current nearby. There was almost no bite during the bottom of the tide. We also missed lots of fish that bit the jig but wouldn't hold on. When we gave the fish a little time to "play" with the bait, then our catch rate improved. All of our better fish came after we made this adjustment.
City: Fair OaksTips: Our better fish hit like small fish. They just pecked at the bait a couple times before picking it up and swimming off. When you feel the "pecking" don't assume its a small fish. Give them some slack line and check for weight before setting.

Water Temp: 68-69 degrees
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The water was crystal clear. Visibility to 15 feet! I fished the western corner of the dam at 25-35 feet and caught 12 fish largemouth 2-4 lbs. No dinks. I caught them on a pro Worm brown/red flake/chartreuse pattern. (crawdad). I jigged the worm on the concrete shelf from 15 feet to the strike range and them Wham!..each time I caught a 14-18" bass. I fished from 0630 and by 0700 I had caught 12 Black Bass 2-4 lbs. After 0800 I fished every point down the lake taking 1-2 fish 1.5 to 3 lbs on either craw pattern for baby brush hogs at 20-30 feet. I never used any topwater or blades. I just pulled up to a point and dropped a carolina rigged plastic (craw/shad or watermelon baby brush hog) on the edge of darkwater and started working it behind the boat. I got this idea from an old timer who pulled up to dock two days ago with a five fish limit of 16 pounds! He told me the bass were deep, and he was right! The lake is pre turnover, so the fish are hanging 20-30 feet at this point. I caught a few bass on smoke and chartreuse as well. I have never caught so many quality fish in one day (total 30 bass >2 lbs..biggest 4lbs)..hope this bodes well for fall bassin' at Mcclure.
City: MercedTips: Craw pattern and Shad pattern off of points 20-30'..catch 1-2 then move on. The best fishing so far has been from 0630-1000 and 5:00PM to dark. After the water cools off, I think the fishing should be off the hook!

Report: FISHED NORTHERN DELTA AND FOUND A GOOD BITE. FISH WERE VERY ACTIVE IN THE AM THEN SLOWED PRETTY QUICKLY AS THE DAY WENT ON. FISHED RICO'S AND C RIGED BRUSH HOGS AND CAME UP WITH A GOOD LIMIT THAT AVERAGED 18LB FOR 5 FISH. HAD A COUPLE OF GOOD FISH ON WITH THE C-RIG BRUSH HOGS.
Tips: BE PATIENT. BE PATIENT AND SLOW DOWN. IF YOU C-RIG REEL IN THE FISH QUICKLY. I LOST 3 FISH THAT WOULD HAVE PUT MY LIMIT OVER 23LBS BECAUSE I LET THEM FIGHT TOO LONG AND GET STUCK IN THE MATS

Most of our fish came out of 15' to 20'. We caught plenty of fish but short on size. A 50 fish day with about 20 over 12". Biggest was 3 1/2 and best five would have gone 12 1/2 lbs..
City: DelhiTips: Most fish and biggest came from drop shotting curly tail shad pattern worms. Also caught fish on brown jig w/watermelon sweet beaver trailer and split shotting greenie stlye 4" or 6" worms. No fish on cranks.

Report: Caught some nice Browns (3.5 & 4.7)and Rainbows (2.6 & 3.1) trolling this past weekend. Using shad imitation lures, the ones you can't buy anymore from Storm. Used them before and had great results, they didn't forget them. Color selection is required as the day light changes, color selector helps.
City: OakhurstTips: Keep trying and best times are early and late, depth doesn't seem to be important as much now
